Shrove Tuesday

Mornin'!  It's 43° under starry skies this pre-dawn, pre-lenten morn in Wildwood.  Breezes are calm at 7mph from the W-NW.  It's going to stay clear as Ms. Sun will be warming our island all day.  The winds are a major part of today's weather equation as they'll begin to blow in from the W-NW at 25-30mph w/gusting creating yet another bad hair day.  Guess they're practicing or giving us a sneak peak of the ol' March winds, but we won't go there.  For today...a decent day for Fashnaught Day (the day before fasting) as the temps climb to the low-mid 40's while Ms. Sun keeps us in her warm grasp.  Tomorrow's looking wet and raw again so enjoy blustery, sunny day.
High tide:9:15a.m.
Low tide:3:15p.m.
Ocean temp:42°
Sunset:5:35p.m.

The Pennsylvania Dutch in the area surrounding Lancaster, Pennsylvania celebrate Fastnacht Day. That meant homemade crullers in my childhood neighborhood.
