Friday Washout

Mornin'!  It's 61° this early Friday morn.  Lots of weather happening around us.  Upon waking and peeking through the window drapery that was already waving from the breezes coming in the opened windows, all I could see was a bright, red sky. We all know what red sky in the morning means!  By the time I got my robe and slippers, a mug of coffee, checked the back porch thermometer and weather conditions and sat down here...the sky had turned every different color of the color wheel.  Ms Sun's trying her best to keep the sky colorful along the horizon as the cloud's are turning from reds to purples to dark ominous shades of gray making every effort to cover her.  The clouds seem to be winning this sunrise battle.  There's a slow moving weather system heading right for us.  The winds are basically bringing a cold front with rain in today's forecast.  At the moment the stiff breezes are out of the South-Southeast at 30mph plus gusting.  We're supposed to have major winds throughout the day at least up until late afternoon when they'll settle down a bit.  Soaking rains are on the menu as well as possible thunderstorms.  Temps will remain in the mid-upper 60s.   At the moment, Ms Sun's still got a couple openings and getting her rays through those dark clouds.  I love when weather's happening right in front of you.  It's a very cool start to the day.  As for the weekend...looking good as it's supposed to be sunny with temps tapping the 70s.  A nice one for this year's "Beach Jam" and "Captain Kid Pirate Day".  Dig out those tents and eye patches!
