Repeat

Mornin'!  It's 71° in gray, cloudy Wildwood.  No breezes...just quiet and still.  There were a few gulls wishing me a "good morning" from above while standing on the back porch but that's about it.  Even the neighbors are quiet...in fact they're gone.  All surrounding neighbors have left for now and we're back to total emptiness and quietness at the homestead.  Weird how that happens...people everywhere around us, then nothing...dark, empty houses.   Been here living in Wildwood for ten years now and the pattern is the same each summer.  The summer season begins when the schools close as Wildwood begins to see more and more visitors each passing day.  Then, the last 2 weeks of July and first 2 weeks of August...20,000 inhabitants turns to 250,000 on a daily basis.  We're strapping in as it's on our front door step.  I'm just stating a fact...not really complaining...but it is 4 weeks out of the year that sharing the shore gets very intense.  It's all good.  Oh...today's weather...it'll be pretty much a repeat of yesterday...but more of a gray day.  In fact, every forecast reports scattered showers and thunderstorms lingering from the overnight (60% chance), but the day should end up being drier and gradually less humid with possible peeks of sun. High near 80 degrees along the coast. Southeast winds at 10mph.  Full moon is in a couple days so remember the high tides will be higher than usual. Weekend's still looking pretty fine!
High tide:6:36a.m. and 7:03p.m.
Low tide:12:29p.m.
Ocean temp:71°
Sunset:8:27p.m.
