Au Revoir August!

Mornin'!  It's 75° this last morning in August (sniff).  August is one of my favorite months and I'm truly sorry to say goodbye. (September is my favorite month). It's still dark outside this morning with lots of cloud cover and not a star or that nearly full moon can be seen this early morn. There is a light ocean breeze. Looks like it'll be partly cloudy today as temps climb back up into the upper 80s (could even tap 90°) as the humidity creeps back up.  We'll see some sunshine but it'll be a mostly cloudy day.  Breezes will be out of the S-SW at 12-14mph.  One forecast noted a 20% chance of a shower.  Tonight...skies will be clearer as temps drop back into the mid 70s and breezes out of the SW at 10-12mph but remaining humid.  The week up ahead including the holiday weekend looks nice so I'll say it again...if you've picked this 1st week of September up ahead for your summer vacation, seems you lucked out as it's looking like a keeper...keep in mind...September's the "Jewel".

 My Weekly Beach Etiquette tips:
~remember not to leave any trash on the beach or better yet pick up any you see as you leave whether it's yours or not.
~remember to take your cigarette butts (or just don't smoke and pollute the lovely sea air).
~remember to pack your headphones (believe it or not no one wants to hear your music).
~kindly give your neighbors space and careful not to place your umbrella, chair or blanket too close to your beach neighbor.
~give your kids a quick tutorial on "no running on others blankets or towels"
~give your kids another quick tutorial on "not running too close to beach goers to avoid kicking sand on them".
~don't play ball, frisbee or fly kites near other beach goers...beach patrol usually stops you.
~don't feed the seagulls (if possible eat under your umbrella) as these vultures never stop eying up diners and will swoop down and pluck that food right out of your hand creating havoc around your beach area.
~shake towels or beach blankets away from others who are enjoying their beach time.
~follow posted warnings and pay attention to lifeguards.
~(my hubby suggested I include this one)... if you take a call on your cell phone, courtesy would be taking the call away from others like on the back beach (on the dune side) rather than share the call with all those around you.
