Stella!

Mornin'!  It's 45° in Wildwood NJ.  Nor'easter Stella is bringing moderate to heavy rain with winds that are wailing over the island from the E-NE at 25-40mph w/gusting.  No tidal flooding in the streets although there are "Coastal Flood" and "High Wind" warnings posted.  There is some minor street flooding going on at the moment due to the rainfall.   It'll stay around the low-mid 40s today with rainfall and at times a snowy mix as winds howl right into this evening. I sit here knowing that my family in Philadelphia and the Philly suburbs are being hammered by Stella with major snowfall and blizzard-like conditions.  It never ceases to amaze me how weird that is being barely two hours away.  The island of Wildwood is being hammered by winds and pelting rains at the moment but no snow.  These conditions will continue into later this afternoon when we might actually see some clearing and some peeks of sun.  Then, the winds will have shifted this evening from the N-NW but still be intense at around 30-35mph.  Temps will drop into the low-mid 30s tonight.  Tomorrow...the temps drop even more into the 20s and we may actually see some dusting of snow on the island.  And, those winds will stick around for several more days!  Remember...it's March.

Thank you for doing this blog. I own a home in West Wildwood and I'm concerned about the winds.
