National Lighthouse Day

Hereford Lighthouse, North Wildwood

Cape May Lighthouse, Cape May
Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under cloud cover and stillness (no breezes to note).  Thing's are-a-changin' though as we're under a Flash Flood Watch as we could receive up to 2" of rain (100% chance of rain today) and SSE Winds at 20-30mph before this day is over.  It'll become windy then the rain and/or thunderstorms will arrive sometime this afternoon.  A few storms may be severe.  Temps will be in the upper 70s. Tonight...windy with rain (80% chance), temps in the upper 60s and winds out of the W-SW at 20-30mph. It's a Full Moon...something you certainly don't need when the day's forecast is this much rain.  I'd be aware of my surroundings and play it safe (don't chance driving through the flood waters).  I'm moving my vehicle to higher ground and wearing flipflops to work today.
High tide:8:33a.m. and 8:45p.m. (keep in mind the high tides are one hour later on the bay/marsh side of the island).
Low tide:2:20p.m.
Ocean temp:76°
Sunset:8:05p.m.
UV Index:2 (low)
Rip Currents: Moderate
