Farewell to Autumn

Mornin'!  It's 48° in Wildwood NJ.  It's cloudy and breezy (NW 13-15mph).
It's one of those dark mornings that the cloud cover is insulating sounds so you're able to hear the ocean waves crashing and my home is 6+ blocks away not including our very, very long beach.  It's the last day of Autumn!  Tomorrow's the Winter Solstice.  That's the shortest day of the year and the first day of Winter.  A fun fact is the length of the days will head in the other direction and become longer once the Solstice is here.  And some other fun facts...weather sources (NOAA) is reporting that November 2017 was Earth's fifth warmest November recorded since record-keeping began in 1880...and the 3rd warmest on record says NASA.  Today will be no exception as we have more mild temps up ahead with today's being upper 40s / tapping 50°.  We'll have a mix of clouds and sun (more clouds than sun so says the majority) and winds out of the NW at 10-20mph.  Tonight...clear, low 40s with breezes out of the N-NW at 7-9mph.  Doesn't look like we'll see much of Ms Sun this upcoming holiday weekend either.  In fact...it's looking kind of wet (without the snow).
