A Hiccup In This Extremely Lovely Weather

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ.  It's sunny (clouds just moved aside for Ms Sun) and breezy (Eastery 18-22mph) with dewpoint of 69° and humidity at 74%.  It'll pretty much a washout today as clouds aren't going anywhere and rains are due in by late this morning / early afternoon.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 70s.  Hunker down as winds will create havoc a little later out of the E-NE at 25-35mph +gusting.  It'll probably rain throughout the day into late evening and be pretty miserable.  Gale warnings are posted as seas will reach 11+ feet.  There will certainly be extremely strong rip currents. You could probably view some serious wave crashing action in North Wildwood as that ocean doesn't hesitate to breach the seawall when it's this windy and rough.  There's a "flash flood watch" posted meaning we could get some serious rainfall very quickly with the rainfall that's expected this afternoon into late tonight (2-4"). Entering and leaving the island when we're flooding is more successful when using the North Wildwood entrance and exit.  Wildwood seems to flood and close the base of the bridge leading onto the island.  Listen for flood sirens and move your vehicles to higher ground if need be. Get to know your arcades and there's always our movie theatre (Franks - Rio Stadium out on Rt. 9).  As for tomorrow...there are peeks of sun in the forecast as winds will have died down.  There's also a 50% chance of scattered rain showers and/or thunderstorms late in the morning.  At this time Tuesday is looking like best of next week so far.
