Showers Check Out and Winds Check In

Mornin'!  It's 53° in Wildwood NJ.  It's feeling a bit ominous at the moment out there.  It's still dark.  It's dripping wet, heavy fog with mist is over the island right now.  Rain is heading right this way.  For me, it's a scary feeling.   Like Jack the Ripper's in the neighborhood instead of Santa.  The island's very desolate this time of year.  The weekend picks up a bit but for the most part, there are only about 16,000 year-round residents. There aren't any lights glowing from the majority of dark, uninhabited homes here.  There are few vehicles parked on the streets.  Traffic lights are on the "blink" setting.  It truly does have that ominous feel at times even without these low lying clouds we're experiencing at the moment.  I'm intrigued by it all.  The salt (no matter what) feeds the soul.
Anyway... the early morning's starting out chilly and damp; it goes right through you.  Winds are out of the S-SW at 6-9mph.  There's 90% chance of rain this morning and afternoon. We'll be hearing the fog bells as there are areas of dense fog being reported.  Temps will be just about where they are now... low-50s.  Winds will begin to pick up today as they blow this thing out up North as well as out to sea.  By tonight... just cloudy, temps in the low-40s and stiff winds out of the West at 18-22mph +gusting.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny (some clouds in the mix) with very windy conditions... out of the West at 20-30mph +gusting.  Monday... the rains check back in.
High Tide: 8:54AM and 9:38PM
Low Tide: 3:25PM
Ocean Temp: 46°
Sunrise: 7:09AM
Sunset: 4:39PM

Jim, I've never been to London but that sounds just about right. Love Sherlock Holmes!
