August Is In The House!

Mornin'!  Welcome August!  It's 78° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 87% with a Dewpoint of 71°.  Ms Sun's shining down and it's warming up on the island.  Breezes are very light out of the NE at 3-5mph.  It looks like we're going to kick off the new month with a decent day.  Expect a mix of clouds and hazy sunshine with temps in the low-mid 80s.  And, don't let that haze and cloud cover fool you... use sunscreen lotion as you can acquire quite a sunburn with cloud cover.  We'll have refreshing E-SE (off the ocean) breezes will be at 5-10mph.  Tonight... clouds roll in as it'll be mostly cloudy with thunderstorms developing overnight (80% chance).  Temps will drop to where they are now with S-SE winds at 10-15mph.  If thunderstorms hit our region expect gusty winds.  Tomorrow... clouds along with the possibility of rain showers the first part of the day followed by partial clearing and partly sunny skies.  High in the upper 80s and stiff South winds at 15-25mph.  I noticed yesterday during high tide that the streets were beginning to flood.  Full Moon is Monday and if the streets are showing signs of tidal flooding now, they're only going to fill up more as the hours pass.  Be aware of low-lying areas and where you park your vehicle.  Remember that the ocean high tides are always about an hour before the back bay / marsh high tides.  Do whatever you can to not drive through those salty, corrosive, damaging sea waters!
