Another Beauty Ahead

Mornin'!  This week marks 15 years since the Sam's Pizza - Shore Plaza Fire (actually was on 12/9/05).  It's not near as cold as it was the day of that fire.  It's 41° in Wildwood NJ.  It's a crisp, clear morning with plenty of stars in the pre-dawn , slightly brigtening sky.  Breezes are light out of the S-SW at 4-6mph.  It's going to be another beautiful autumn day down the Shore.  Expect plenty of sunshine this Friday with temps in the mid-upper 50s and S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... some clouds roll on in followed by full on cloud cover.  Temps will be just tapping 50° with S-SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... looking like periods of rain are on the weather menu with a high of 56°.  Sunday is now looking partly to mostly cloudy without those previously forecasted rain showers.  The New Moon is Monday the 14th and along with it comes the recent Geminid meteor shower which peaks the nights of Sunday and Monday.  The very early morning of the 14th will be the "shower's" maximum time with the most meteors falling per hour (75).  The show typically begins as early as 9pm and peaks around 2am.  If the skies are clear along with that New Moon and extra-dark skies... the meteors will truly pop.  It's also 10 days until the Winter Solstice and "The Great Solstice Conjunction" on 12/21 which is the viewing of Jupiter and Saturn converging so close that it'll look like one giant star (The Christmas Star). First time in 800 years for that one!
