Yo June! You're Outta Here!

Mornin'!  It's 75° in Wildwood NJ.  This is it June... until next year, this will be your last weather forecast and you're going out on a "hot" note.  It's currently sunny and warm with humidity at 92% and the dew point of 74°.  Breezes are out of the SW at 10-12mph.  It's going into the 90s today (low-90s) with a heat index of 100°.  Expect plenty of hazy sunshine and breezes out of the S-SW at 10-15mph. If heading to the beach today, I'd check out my Friday beach tips (last week's) on the essentials you'll be needing to pack.  Tonight... a few passing clouds as temps drop to where they are now... mid-70s with Southerly breezes at 10-15mph.  We could see a shower and/or thunderstorm overnight (20% chance).   For tomorrow... July's kicking off the month with sunny conditions early in the day, high in the mid-upper 80s and SW winds at 10-20mph. Then, by afternoon thunderstorms are supposed to develop and we could see some heavy rainfall (80-90% chance) and could very well go right into the evening hours.  Friday's looking gray and possibly wet.  The weekend's looking 50-50 with Sunday (the 4th of July) being the nicer of the two days.  As for my sister in Vancouver WA: it's currently 60° and will be going into the 90s today.  She made it through quite a nasty, unprecedented heat wave (thankfully).  As we bid adieu June, lots of gratefulness for the lovely summer weather you've provided us this year and we look forward to doing the same thing this time next year.  Until then, see you on the other side!

More... Hazy, Hot and Humid Wildwood Weather

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ.  It's a sunny start with humidity at 96% and a dew point of 74°.  That's also a very warm start to the day.  That heavy humidity is supposed to drop by early this afternoon and that's a very good thing!  Expect a day much like yesterday with plenty of that ol' hazy sunshine, temps in the upper 80s (possibly tapping the 90s) and breezes out of the S-SW at 10-15mph.  I hit the beach yesterday (and will do so again today) and that heavy heat disappeared the moment my feet hit that sand.  The cool ocean and breezes off the water immediately provided a blast of lovely refreshment.  It stopped me dead in my tracks as I said, "Ahhhhh"!
Tonight... clear, temps where they are now (73°) and S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... another sunny one and even warmer... low-90s with S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Thursday... starting out sunny and warm becoming unsettled with 40-50% chance of scattered storms in the afternoon.  The Northwest is still breaking weather records.  I mention this as my sister lives in Vancouver WA and yesterday it reached 114°!  She's hunkered in and holding up I'm happy to report.

Last Weekend In June

Today's webcam shot - North Wildwood
Mornin'!  It's 71° in Wildwood NJ.  It's a sticky one this early morn with 98% humidity and 71° dew point.  Breezes are out of the South at 8-11mph.  We're covered in a cloudy, foggy haze as Ms Sun's up there but hidden behind all that opaque, gray sky.  It's looking like a mostly cloudy day with a 20% chance of a stray shower and/or thunderstorm this afternoon early.  Temps will barely tap 80° with Southerly breezes at 10-20mph.  Tonight... mostly cloudy, low around 70° and those Southerly breezes at 10-20mph. There's a 15% chance of a passing shower.  Tomorrow... intervals of clouds and sunshine with mostly sunny, hazy conditions.  Temps near 80° with Southerly (brisk) winds at 15-25mph.  Monday... mostly sunny, warm and less breezy.  The Wildwood "Farmer's Market" is at 8am today at 3400 Pacific Avenue.  There's a beach "barefoot" soccer tournament this weekend.  Tonight in the Crest is a free Jimmy Buffet Tribute concert at 7:30 at Fern and Ocean Aves.  On a more somber note, there's a historic heat wave threatening the Northwest this weekend into next week with dangerous triple-digit highs in parts of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and western Canada.  We're talking unprecedented and extremely dangerous temperatures (107°-114°)!  I mention this as my sister lives in Washington and all eyes are on her as this approaches her doorstep.

Today's North Wildwood Web Cam

Mornin'!  It's 63° in Wildwood NJ.  We're currently under thick cloud cover as Ms Sun's no where to be found this mornng.  It's gray and still (breezes are out of the N-NE at 1-2mph).  Humidity's at 89% with a Dew Point of 59° as it's a tad sticky in the morning coolness.  It'll be a cloudy start to the day as skies begin to clear by this afternoon making for a partly cloudy day.  Temps will be in the low-70s.  Winds will eventually become more apparent by midday out of the E-SE at 10-15mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temps in the mid-upper 60s and Southerly breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... mostly cloudy, high of 77° and Southerly winds at 10-20mph.  Sunday... partly sunny with temps nearly tapping 80° and those Southerly breezes staying checked in.  If you took next week as your vacation week in Wildwood, you scored big time as it'll be a sunny, warm, lovely week down the Shore!  Oh... tonight's the first night for Friday Night Fireworks at 10PM in Wildwood returning to Pine Avenue and the Beach.

Today's the first time in a long time that I've posted those Friday Beach Etiquette tips for you Beach Goers!  Take heed of some important Beach tips! Most of these points have been taken from my personal observations.
~Things I pack for the beach... bottled water, a spray bottle of water for you never know what, a hat, footwear (it's amazing how many folk don't wear something on their feet when trekking the extremely hot, burning sand and even worse forget to put footwear on their children), towel, sunblock, insect repellent (for the West Wind Biting Flies), first aid kit (I include a tiny bottle of vinegar for jelly fish stings), some shade (umbrella or sand chair with lid/canopy), something to read, sanitizing wipes, a small trash bag to collect any trash you may accumulate, and I always bring my crocheting as I love to crochet on the beach.  Some of my best baby blankets are "salty".
~Setting up your umbrella... be aware of wind direction and wind speed.  If it's windy, take those extra steps to secure your umbrella (sand screws or grabbers) or bungee cord (you can secure your umbrella to your beach cart or cooler etc).  It's common to see how unsecured umbrellas can be as the wind launches them directly toward unknowing folks relaxing in the line of fire about to be impaled.  And, remember to open your umbrella into the wind otherwise, that wind will be blowing your umbrella inside out in a snap of a finger.
~Know the time of your tides.  Always check with the lifeguard if unsure.  If the tide is at its highest, you can sit as close to the surf as you want as the tide will be taking the entire day to slip into low tide and the beach grows bigger and bigger.  It takes 6 hours for the tide to go from High to Low.
~There is "no smoking" on the beach.  That includes pipes, vapes, cigars and marijuana.  Wildwood Crest has a designated smoking area for cigarette smoking.  There's "no smoking" of any kind on the boardwalk too.  As New Jersey has recently legalized Marijuana, you cannot smoke it in these small coastal towns as they've all outlawed it including Wildwood.  It's allowed on private property.
~No alcohol is allowed on the beach
~Dogs are allowed on Wildwood and Wildwood Crest beaches from Oct-May.  Dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk at any time.  There are a couple of great beach dog-parks.  One at 3000 Glenwood Ave. at the beach and one in North Wildwood at 24th and the beach.  NW requires a permit and also posts that dogs are not allowed on the beach when lifeguards are present (9:30-5:30).  Dog's must be on a leash at all times when not in the dog parks.
~When going to the beach and deciding where to set camp, kindly give those around you a little extra space as courtesy is key.  Careful not to plop down only inches from someone else's camp.  This one's amazing to me as I see it time and time again.  Most beaches are huge yet folks set up camp only inches from those there when in fact it could have been literally 30 feet away.  It happens more often than not.  I have yet to figure it out.  Human connection?  Whatever, it's a very strange phenomenon.
~Never leave trash on the beach.  Better yet, pick up any you see whether it's yours or not.  There are many, many trash and recycle containers on the beach and sidewalks.  Use them.
~If into music, remember your headphones.  Believe it or not, no one really wants to hear your blasting music drowning out the soothing sounds of the surf.  And, turn that (not too loud) speaker towards you, not to the other folks on the beach.
~Teach children beach etiquette.  Throwing sand is a no-no.  Teach them not to run or chase one another around someone laying on their blanket as the kicked up sand from the wind winds up all over the person lying there peacefully.  I've had families whose little toddlers take off running from their campsite right to mine and onto my blanket before any adult could grab them.  I guess it's cute.  My advice to parents of young toddlers (1-2 year olds)... bring a "pack-n-play" for them as I can assure you that your day will be much more enjoyable with those babes confined.
~Remember when shaking out towels or blankets, be conscious of the wind direction and shake away from those in close proximity of your shaken sands.
~Feeding seagulls is a big no-no.  Eat and snack smartly.  Using hands up or out when holding a sandwich to express oneself is a magnet for swooping gulls.  Drop just one potato chip and you'll create seagull havoc.  Eat under your umbrella or chair canopy.  Seagulls are vultures and are endlessly eyeing beach goers eating habits.  They're relentless in trying to find the opportune moment to swoop down and pluck your lunch right out of your hand or mouth (seen it happen many times).  By the way, Seagulls know "chip bags" and if you have an unsupervised blanket or bag with chip bags exposed, they will help themselves to that bag and share their newly acquired beach find with their gull family and friends.
~Playing ball, Frisbee, horseshoes, corn hole, kite-flying, ladder toss, spike ball, paddle ball, volley ball, kan-jam, beach darts, etc., is a no-no where everyone's camped beaching.  The dune or emptier side of the beach is designated for those active beach games.  The beach patrol will probably stop you anyway. But, be mindful of those around you who are not in the game.
~Observe all posted warnings... beach closures, no alcohol or marijuana, rip currents, surfing only etc.  If in doubt, check with the lifeguards.
~And lastly, be courteous.  Courtesy is key.  Be kind and considerate of everyone enjoying this beautiful moment along with you.  Happy Beaching!

Full "Strawberry" Moon

Mornin'!  It's 58° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining over the island.  Breezes are out of the E-NE at 5-8mph.  Humidity's somewhat low at 80% with a 55° Dew Point.  It's a beautiful morning.  The island birds can always vouch for me when it's this lovely.  Chirping and squawking coming from every nook and cranny outside.  It's going to be a lovely summer's day with sun shining, low 70s and E-NE winds at 15-20mph (pack that bungee cord for your umbrella if going to the beach).  Tonight... some light clouds filter in with temps in the low-60s and NE breezes at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy with temps in the low-mid 70s and less windier than today.  At this time, the weekend's looking like a mix of clouds with sunshine but with some stiff sea breezes.

A Beautiful Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 59° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's shining.  Humidity's 81° with a Dew Point of 52° and breezes out of the North at 6-8mph making for a glorious summer's morn!  The storms checked out last night making for a spectacular sunset and leaving us with much cooler and less humid air.  It's actually feeling a bit like Autumn this morning.  It'll be a less warmer day today with abundant sunshine, temps in the low-70s and N-NE winds shifting to the E-SE at 10-15mph.  Tonight... clear, moonlit skies (the Full Moon is tomorrow) with temps in the low-60s and East winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... a mix of sun and clouds with temps in the low-70s again.  It'll be windier... Rains-Are-A-Comin'

Mornin'!  It's 72° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining through the thin cloud cover.  We've got a bit of a sticky morning as the Humidity's at 96% with a Dew Point of 71°.  Breezes are very light out of the S-SW at 3-5mph.  Mostly all the live webcams I've checked including my neighborhood are showing blue skies with some thin stratus clouds surrounding the island.  These clouds will begin to thicken and by late morning, the rains are checking in.  Expect periods of rain today especially during the afternoon (99% chance) with temps in the mid-70s and winds out of the W-NW at 10-20mph.  Tonight... clouds begin to clear but there's still a 60% chance of rain showers as it'll be mostly to partly cloudy with temps in the upper 50s and N-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... a mostly sunny day once the morning clouds drift on out.  Temps will be in the low-mid 70s.  Thursday looks sunny and nice too but it is the Full Moon and we're already feeling its pull on the Tides.  Remember that the tides will probably be higher than normal and if it's raining today and you're in a low-lying area on the island, you may very well see tidal flooding.  Do your best to avoid driving or parking near those areas.

Beautiful Start To Summer!

Mornin'!  It's 71° in Wildwood NJ.  There's a lot going on this morning.  It's Summer for one!  And two, it's perfectly lovely.   Ms Sun's up and struggling through those hazy, milky clouds.  I can hear the ocean's roar at 6+ blocks away.  The seagulls are everywhere laughing and squawking displaying their morning routine and it seems their happiness.  It's a little breezy with S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  The Humidity's kicking at 97% with a Dew Point of 71°.  We're talking air so thick you can cut it with a knife.  Outside, the railings, cars, porch furniture etc. are all glistening with the sea moisture this morning.  But, my window curtains are all drifting up and down thanks to the seabreeze and it's almost guaranteed that Ms Sun has begun to dry things up a bit!  It'll be a hazy start today followed by partial clearing.  The humidity will continue to be high (low-mid 80%) today, temps will be just tapping 80° and Southerly breezes will be at 15-20mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, low near 70° and SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... unsettled as it still looks gray and wet with 80% chance of precipitation.  Forecasts are reporting that it looks like the possibility of rain and/or thunderstorms are likely kicking off the day becoming cloudy in the afternoon with temps in the mid-70s.  NW winds are on tap at 10-20mph.

Happy Father's Day and Welcome Summer!!!

Mornin'!  It's 70° in Wildwood NJ.  Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there!  This one's dedicated to my Dad who left us 26 years ago.  He gave us many gifts... too many to mention.  But, one in particular for me was the gift of the Shore.  We spent every summer vacationing at the beach thanks to him.  He instilled in us not only salt life and sand in our shoes but a true love and appreciation for the beauty of the coast as well as the restoration of healing and soothing the soul that the Shore never stops providing.  I feel his spirit here more than anywhere else. This one's for you Dad!
Welcome Summer!  It's the Solstice and the longest day of the entire year!  We're in it now.  Summer's kicking off with a nice one. It's currently sunny with hardly a breeze (SW at 3-5mph).  Humidity's up there... 93% with a Dew Point of 69°.  After the overnight on and off heavy rainfall, everything's soaked and watered nicely making it feel a big soggy this morning.  There are some of those hazy, milky clouds in the morning sky.
We're going to have a mix of clouds and sunshine today.  Temps will be in the low-80s with S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Tonight... some wispy clouds with temps in the low-70s and S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... more clouds than sunshine and a stray shower possible (20% chance).  Temps will be in the upper 70s / low 80s with South winds at 10-20mph.  Tuesday looks like a washout.

Spring's Heading Out Today!

Mornin'!  Happy Juneteenth!  We now have a new National Holiday!  And, while welcoming it,  we're waving good-bye to Spring as it's now in our rear view mirror with Summer fast approaching.  It's 72° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 75% with a Dew Point of 66°.  It's a lovely Saturday morning as Ms Sun's up and shining through some milky, hazy clouds.  Breezes are invigorating out of the SW at 10-15mph.  The Farmer's Market is set up and ready to open at 8am.  The VFW Convention is this weekend with lots of celebrations and of course a parade along Atlantic Avenue.  We're going to have a somewhat decent day (in the weather department).  This partial cloudiness could become even cloudier as there's a 50% chance of rain this afternoon.  Keep your eye on the sky as near dinner time (4-5pm) there could be scattered showers and/or thunderstorm.  Gusty winds are a possibility too.  Today's temps will be in the low-mid 80s with W-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... still 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms with temps down to around 70° and SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... kicking off Summer and Father's Day with considerable cloud cover, then partly sunny by the afternoon with temps in the low-80s and W-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Monday's looking like a mostly cloudy day but not much in the line of rain.  Happy Father's Day Weekend!

All the windows of my home are wide open and there's a nice breeze wifting (wafting) through the house.  No humidity to speak of this morning.  It'll be a sunny day with a high of 77° and W-NW breezes turning from the W-SW at 9-13mph.  Tonight... clear, temps where they are now... upper 60s with NW breezes at 4-7mph.  Tomorrow... sunny, mid-70s and N-NE breezes at 4-7mph.  At this time, the weekend's looking a mix of clouds and sun with Saturday being cloudier and possibly wet off and on.  Speaking of the weekend, Sunday's the first day of Summer!  Oh... the Full Moon is next week too!

Clouds Giving Way To A Sunny Day

Mornin'!  It's 67° in Wildwood NJ.  Breezes are very light out of the NW at 3-5mph.  And, we're soggy again from all the watering we received overnight.  I can vouch for those intense thunderstorms pounding the coast while trying to sleep.  I'm happy the plants and trees are happy!  We're under cloud cover at the moment although Ms Sun did get through a few when I first sat down to begin blogging about today's weather.  Those morning clouds will give way to a sunny day.  Temps will rise up about 10° and we should see mid-upper 70s with no problem.  I wouldn't be surprised if we get into the low-80s. Breezes will be out of the W-NW at 10-15mph.  Tonight... clear, low 60s and NW breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... a blue-sky, sunny day on tap with temps just barely tapping 80° and W-NW breezes at 10-15mph.

Flag Day

Mornin'!  Happy Flag Day!  My street is quiet and empty again.  The weekenders, unfamiliar cars, dog walkers, bicyclists, etc are all gone. It's 67° in Wildwood NJ.  We're currently cloud covered with breezes out of the South at 6-9mph.  Humidity's 89% with a Dew Point of 64°.   Ms Sun's up there and trying intently to shine through the thick clouds, but has her work cut out for her.  The clouds will definitely move over every now and then, but it'll be a mostly cloudy day.  There's a 40% chance of showers today.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 70s with Southerly breezes at 10-15mph.  Tonight... mostly cloudy with showers and/or thunderstorms likely... 80% chance.  There is a potential for "severe" thunderstorms as well. Temps will drop to where they are now... mid-60s and Southerly breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... starting out cloudy and possibly wet (40% chance of rain) with scattered showers and/or thunderstorms again as Ms Sun will be checking in later in the day.  Wednesday's still looking like "the keeper" as it'll be another lovely one for the books.

Lovely Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 63° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's shining brightly this morning as there's not a cloud in the sky!  Breezes are light out of the E-SE at 2-3mph and it's just perfect down the Shore.  The island birds can vouch for me as they're all chirping and squawking and laughing throughout the neighborhood.  We're going to have some clouds drift in as it'll be partly to mostly sunny day.  Temps will be in the low-mid 70s with SE breezes at 5-10mph.  Tonight... more clouds filter in as it'll be a partly cloudy evening with heavy cloud cover coming in overnight.  There's a 30% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm overnight as well.  Temps will drop to where they are now... low-mid 60s with S-SE breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow (Flag Day)... possibly waking to showers (60% chance) as scattered thunderstorms will develop later in the day.  Temps will be in the low-70s with South breezes at 10-15mph.  Tuesday doesn't seem any better. The next lovely day will be Wednesday.  And, it's one week until Summer!

Gray Start, Sunny Finish

Mornin'!  It's 63° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under some dreary conditions at the moment.  No sunrise this morning as the sky is gray and the air full of humidity (96%) and we're still a bit misty.  Everything is saturated from yesterday's and the overnight rainfall.  One good thing... no need to pull the hose out and water today!  Breezes are currently out of the NE at 5-10mph.  We could still get a shower as there's a 30% chance of morning scattered showers.  Later today, Ms Sun should be breaking through the clouds making it a partly sunny afternoon.  Temps will be tapping 70° with E-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... mainly clear, low of 62° and Easterly breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... mainly sunny with a few passing clouds, high around 70° and SE breezes at 5-10mph.  Monday... mostly cloudy as it's looking like more scattered rain showers could be heading our way (30-40% chance) throughout the day with temps in the  mid-70s.

TGIF

Mornin'!  It's 65° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up but obscured by dawn's thick cloud cover. The sky is gray and ominous this morning.  Breezes are out of the East at 10-15mph.  I just opened all the downstairs windows to allow the cool sea breeze into the house and it's not only cool, but damp with a twist of that lovely brine. Humidity's 96% with a Dew point of 65°.   It's looking like we're about to have a "wet one" today as there's an 80-90% chance of rain.  We could get a ½" or more.  Temps will only raise a couple degrees as it'll barely tap the 70° mark.  Winds will be out of the East at 10-20mph.  Tonight... 70% chance of a steady rain as temps drop to where they are now (mid-60s) with E-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... cloudy start, then partly sunny with a high of 71°.  Those E-NE winds are staying checked in at 10-15mph.  Sunday... a mix of clouds and sun.  There's a slight chance of an afternoon shower as temps get into the low-mid 70s with Easterly breezes at 5-10mph.  I'm thinking a windbreaker and/or an umbrella should be somewhat close at hand today if out and about.  Happy Friday!

Hazy Warm Thursday

Mornin'!  It's 75° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 88% with a Dew Point of 71°.  Breezes are out of the W-NW at 2-4mph.  And, it's partly sunny / partly cloudy.  It's another heavy, humid start to the day.  Ms Sun's trying to break through and the moment I typed those words, she came shining through my front windows with a vengeance. It'll probably be like that all day... Ms Sun peeking in through the haze as the temperature rises.  Oh, forget about that partial solar eclipse this morning.  I woke, looked out the window and saw the clouds and snuggled right back into that cozy bed of mine.  I still have the air-conditioning on but by tonight, that "off" switch could be on the "things to do" list.  It seems like a no-brainer to me to shut the A/C off and open the house if the temps are in the 60s.
Expect a hazy, partly sunny day with temps tapping the 80s.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms are possible after 11AM (30% chance).  W-NW breezes will turn to North breezes then turn again to the NE breezes at 10-15mph by the afternoon.  Tonight... 30% chance of rain with temps dropping into the low-mid 60s!  NE breezes will ramp up at 10-20mph.  It looks like the possibility of rain is even higher tomorrow (60% chance) with a high of 71°.  The forecasts are saying rain overnight Friday into early Saturday morning.  The weekend is still looking like Saturday is partly sunny (70°) and Sunday is also partly sunny (75°) but with rain late in the day.  It's still feels good to be home.

Feeling Summer!

Mornin'!  I made it back to the island!  Yesterday's trek through Delaware wasn't easy as there was a huge traffic jam (I95) which I was part of and added 5 extra hours to the last leg of our journey.  What a challenge. It's nice to be sitting here this morning blogging about the weather.  As for today's... it's really feeling like summer with only 11 days to go until the solstice. The air conditioner went on the moment I walked into my house yesterday.  I'm thinking Wildwood matched Georgia's hot southern weather while I was gone and the air conditioner is keeping the heat and humidity at bay ( no pun intended).
It's currently 75° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under some light cloud cover as Ms Sun is shining through as breezes are light out of the W-SW at 5-7mph.  It's feeling warm and muggy with humidity at 90% and a 72° dew point.  I'm not sure if there's more briny/fishy aroma in this morning's humid air or I've just been absent from the fragrant essence for almost a week making it very predominant.  It's intense out there but nice.  It'll be a generally cloudy/hazy day today with a 25% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm.  Temps will be in the low-80s with SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Tonight... considerable cloudiness.  Expect occasional rain showers (40% chance) after midnight with temps barely tapping 70° and West winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... 40% chance of rain with a high of 75°.  Winds will be ramping up out of the NE at 10-20mph.  At this time, the weekend's looking somewhat cloudy with temps in the low-70s.  The New Moon is tomorrow so those tides are already reacting by being much higher and lower than usual.  It's good to be home.

FOOTNOTE: After watching the evening news, I discovered that tomorrow at Sunrise (5:32AM) there will be a partial solar eclipse (70% covered).  According to the meterologist, if the sky is clear during sunrise, you'll be able to see the sun's eclipse along the horizon.  Grab those special eclipse sunglasses if you have them and hit the beach for tomorrow's sunrise!

On The Road Again

Mornin'  It's 61° in Wildwood NJ.  Breezes are out of the South at 4-6mph.  It's cloudy and will remain mostly cloudy today with peeks of sun and a high of 67°.  Breezes will be out of the S-SE at 8-11mph.  Rain is headed this way and will check in tonight late (80% chance).  Rain is staying checked in until Saturday.  Tonight's temps will drop to where they are now with S-SE winds at 10-20mph..  The weekend looks partly sunny with temps in the low-70s.  It's that time again... hitting the road that is.  After clicking the "publish" button, I'm off to Georgia again.  After having part of our family (Son, Daughter, Son-In-Law and grandbabies) visit this past holiday weekend (the first time in 1½ years we were together), hubby and I are once again hitting the road to visit our oldest Daughter and her hubby for a nice long southern weekend.  You know what that means... my weather blog will be on hiatus for a little while.  I should be back in the chair next Wednesday.  Until then, if you need our Coastal weather simply click on "Wunderground Weather" on the bottom right side of my blog page under "personal favs" and then type in Wildwood NJ or 08260 and you'll get the most accurate weather on the internet for our Coast.  Everything else is there as well... tides, moon charts, ocean info etc.  Help yourself!   See you on the other side!

June's In The House

Mornin'!  Hello June!  It's 59° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's greeting us this morning through those milky, wispy clouds.  Those briny breezes are light and refreshing out of the SW at 5-8mph.  It's a lovely morning after a sunny, beautiful, Spring day yesterday.  It'll be a mixed bag today with light clouds and sun this morning giving way to mostly cloudy skies this afternoon.  Temps will just about tap 70° with S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Tonight... mostly cloudy, low around 59° and Southerly breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... more clouds, high around 68° and S-SE breezes at 10-15mph.  Now that it's June, it's also the official start to Hurricane season (ending November 30th).  Just thought I'd mention that one. This year's names: Ana, Bill, Claudette, Danny, Elsa, Fred, Grace, Henry, Ida, Julian, Kate, Larry, Mindy, Nicholas, Odette, Peter, Rose, Sam, Teresa, Victor and Wanda.  It's good to begin your preparation for any of those weather emergencies that may arise.  If anything, start a list for the things you may need.  Oh, 19 days until the start to the Summer Solstice!
