Soup's Still On

Mornin'!  It's 58° in Wildwood NJ.  There's a "Dense Fog Advisory" posted this morning as the soup's still on.  Breezes are out of the East at 6-8mph.  If you haven't seen thick fog down the Shore, check the Wildwood Webcams and you'll get to see all that murkiness happening at the moment.  It inspired me to make some homemade soup yesterday and it wasn't pea soup.  It was chicken noodle and yummy.
Expect a day like yesterday but add to it 80% chance of rain showers.  Expect foggy, overcast conditions with temps in the low-60s and Easterly breezes at 5-10mph.  Rain should begin right before noon.  Tonight... a few showers early, then fog develops later tonight into the overnight.  Temps will return where they are now... mid-upper 50s with winds light and variable.  Tomorrow... fog, then a cloudy day with 25% chance of rain showers and temps in the mid-upper 60s and S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Speaking of tomorrow... there's an eclipse happening late Sunday night (10:27pm) and by 12:53AM on Monday a total eclipse will occur.  The moon, earth and sun will all fall into alignment as the moon passes through the darkest part of earth's shadow (umbra) creating the eclipse. The disappointing fact to all of this is that the Coast will probably not be able to see it occur due to the cloud cover.  Sunday night into Monday may be just partly cloudy, but it all remains to be seen (or not).  If we do get to see that upcoming Full Moon aka Blood Moon through the darkness the sun's rays will paint the moon a reddish hue as any blue/green colors will be scattered in the atmosphere and invisible to our naked eye... only the orange and reds will remain visible.  If the clouds do disperse tonight (very unlikely), we may see a moonrise over the ocean's horizon around 6:30PM.
