Mornin'! Winter's still checked in...as it's 27° in Wildwood this early morning. Sun's due up in just over an hour. It'll be sunny to start as the temps climb up near 40°. The Winds will be hanging around a bit from the W-NW at 20mph with some minor gusting. They'll switch up by this afternoon coming out of the West when the clouds will filter in and make a more cloudy than sunny afternoon. Should feel alot better than yesterday's bitter wintry feel though. Mornin'! It's 22° in Wildwood. Snow is covering the ground. Ice is covering the snow. It's freezing this morning. The sun is shining and making everything glisten. Winds are blowing out of the NW at 30+ mph (gusting at 40mph) making for a crisp, bitter windchill in the teens. We're talking a true winter morn at the Shore. Hopefully things will melt a bit today with all that sunshine we're going to have. But, I'd still be watching the icy spots that just look wet...black ice! Mornin'! It's 39° this chilly, dark and rainy Wildwood morn. Daybreak (notice I didn't say "sunrise") is due in less than a ½ hour. The sky is lightening as I blog but the sky looks ominous and gray. Temps will rise just a bit into the low-40's as today brings a mix of weather. We'll have scattered showers to start and as the afternoon approaches...a wintry mix as the snow showers are due in. Steadier snow showers (causing some slushy accumulation) will arrive by early evening as the temps drop into the 20's. Then, you guessed it...icy conditions will be prevelant all throughout the night. Take heed if you're out and about navigating the challenging roads and streets. Tomorrow's looking brighter and sunnier, but cold and blustery. The winds are currently from the N-NE but will be shifting shortly (say that fast 5 times) this early afternoon from the N-NW (15-20mph ) bringing with it gale warnings and gusting of 30+mph. Mornin'! It's 35° under clear, moonlit morning skies. Sun's due up in about an hour. Wouldn't be surprised if it were "redsky in the morning" as not one, but two weather systems are on a collision course over the island beginning tonight. Even though Wildwood's wrapping up the week with a sunny, dry, mild day, the weekend's looking just the opposite. Today temps will be near 50° with SW winds wifting (oops...I mean wafting) in at 10-15mph. By tonight...90% chance of rain as the winds will be bringing the outter edge of that above mentioned weather system that will be checked in until Sunday morning. It'll be a rain event for WW, but could turn into a wintry mix by Saturday night when the temperature begins dropping. Sunday will be sunny albeit very windy (40mph gusts) and much colder. We're good to go today though...another nice day at the Shore! (that is until tonight) High tide: 8:51a.m.; Low tide:3:12p.m.; Ocean temp: 46°; Sunset: 5:32p.m.

Mornin'! It's 35° in Wildwood. Last night's rain event (never saw the white stuff) is outta here. Wildwood will have abundant sun today as the morning clouds will be clearing out and the sun will be crossing the horizon. Could make for another glorious sunrise. Temps will be in the mid-upper 40's. Winds will be coming from the NW at 10-15mph. It'll be a nice winters day at the Shore today and tomorrow for that matter. Mornin'! It's 36° with a hazy, dark, reddish sky in this early morning. And, you know what they say about "red sky in the morning"..."sailors take warning"! Sunrise is due in less than an hour. Winter's checking back in today and it's packed some moisture in the overnight bag. It'll be overcast and cloudy today with a 90% chance of rain and/or wintry mix heading our way by later this afternoon. Temperature will reach the mid 40's but will be dropping into the 30's by evening. The island could just see a rain event due to that warmish ocean (still 46°) instead of the white stuff. But, we could get a dusting of snow. I'm just saying. Winds won't be able to make up their minds as they begin shifting around beginning out of the N-NE; then shifting from the E-NE; then by evening...from the North; all at 10-15mph. Mornin'! It's 38° in WW. Sunrise is in about a half hour. I'm not sure how dramatic today's sunrise will be as there's some major cloud cover this morning. There are breaks in the clouds and breaks could mean a dramatic, beautiful sunrise. We'll soon find out. Sun will be hanging out for most of the day once the morning clouds move out. Mornin'! It's 29 crisp, wintry degrees. The sun's up along with some cloud cover making for a spectacular show of today's colorful morning sky. Temps will rise into the high 40's as today will be dry and pleasant. Winds will be variable beginning from the West at 10-15mph; then shifting from the SW; then W-NW tonight possibly bringing the moisture. If it's cold enough, this storm that's heading our way as we're just on the fringe of the moisture, could create a coating of snow on the overnight. I'm just saying. Mornin'! It's 35° this crisp, clear, starlit, winter's morning. Sun's due up in an hour. Clouds are nowhere around as I'm betting on a beautiful sunrise (7:01a.m.). It'll be mostly sunny, dry and pleasant as temps will climb into the upper 40's today as it's looking like a lovely day at the Shore. N-NW winds bring in the light breezes at 10-15mph. The weekend looks like we may see snow showers (not sure about any accumulation) on the overnight Saturday and early Sunday. Mornin'! The Groundhog saw his shadow this morning...so, six more weeks of winter! I say, "What winter?" I should watch the sarcasm as Winter does have its way with you when in the mood or when you least expect it. But, it's been a mild winter in Wildwood so far this year. Today...begins at 42° under cloudy skies. It's not raining at the moment but we're due for a spritzing on and off throughout the morning. As the day progesses so does the drying out process as the sun will be peeking in this afternoon. Temps will get up in the low-mid 50's. Winds will be out of the NW at 10-15mph. Mornin'! It's 44° this partly cloudy/partly sunny morn in WW. It was spritzing a little while ago, but we're drying out at the moment. Temps will be mild and unseasonable today as we may catch a glimpse of 60+degrees. The clouds and sun will be tussling throughout most of the day. Winds will be from the W-SW at 15-20mph with some gusting. I think not only all the dogshow pooches are going to enjoy their mini-vacation at the Shore, but I'm sure it's just the beginning of "horseback riding on the beach" sitings! Mornin'! What a beautiful winter morning in Wildwood. It's clear, cold (35°), crisp, fragrant, quiet and very still. The horizon's turning deep orange as the dark sky begins to brighten. The sunrise is due in less than an hour. It's all I can do to stay here in my cozy pj's and not bundle up and hurry to the beach to see that spiritual welcoming of the day. Mornin'! It's 54 mild degrees in Wildwood. Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm as we may see...get this...lo-mid 60° temperatures today. Right now it's overcast and cloudy as rain is expected this morning and even perhaps some thunder and lightning thrown in mix. I can hear clearly now the roar of the sea under this insulating cloud cover as the waves will be over 10' high today. The winds (S-SW) are ramping up at 15-25mph and gusting giving that "metroliner roaring down the street" sound. They'll shift this afternoon coming from the SW; then again this evening from the W-NW all the while gusting along. Definitely a bad hair day ahead. All this wind action will push the clouds and rains away as tomorrow morning is looking clear and bright, albeit cooler. Mornin'! It's 44° in WW this dark, cloudy morn. The sound of the surf is once again welcoming the day. It's dry outside and looks like the rain's outta here for a couple days. Well, at least until Thursday anyway. Although we'll have a mostly cloudy morning, the sunshine will gradually increase as it pushes the clouds out making for a mostly sunny day. Temps will rise into the mid-upper 50's (there's something quite not right with those temps) as it will surely be a mild winter's day. Winds will be out of the West at 10-15mph. Mornin'! It's 47° in Wildwood. New Moon today...keep an eye on the tides! Clouds are creating a nice thick insulator which allows me to see not just the beam of light from the Hereford Lighthouse, but hear the roar of the ocean this early morning. And, I live a considerable distance from both. It always amazes me when that occurs. Winds are blowing in from the E-SE at 12-16mph. No rain at the moment, but showers are due in this morning and by mid-day today...peeks of sun are forecasted as the winds shift to the S-SE at 20mph. Steadier rain showers will visit late in the day into the overnight. Temps will be unseasonably warmer though as the highs will reach the mid-upper 50's. Weird Winds in Wildwood (say that fast 3 times)

Mornin'! It's 39° in WW. It's just becoming light out as the cold rains are being carried by the pelting winds. (S-SE at 10-15mph w/20mph gusts). During the night as I walked around peeking out the windows, I saw the "mix" everyone was talking about. Big wet snowflakes were hitting the skylight window in the wee hours. We received no coating or icing as it's turned out to be a rain event on the island. Temps will get up into the low 40's today as the winds play a bit of havoc. By noon they'll switch up and do a 180° coming from the NW at 20mph, then by evening switch up again coming from the N-NE still at 20mph with 25mph gusts. I'd definitely go with "bad hair day" or better yet...homemade soup making day! It'll stay cloudy and mostly wet this first half of the weekend. Tomorrow's looking like the better of the 2 days as the sun will return as the raw wetness exits. High tide:6:21a.m.; Low tide:12:38p.m.; Ocean temp: 49°; Sunset:5:09p.m.; 59 days until Spring!

A "Mix" is in the works

Mornin'! It's 40° this early morn as temps are expected to drop a bit today hovering around the upper 30's. It's brisk, quiet (except for the sound of the sea), and overcast in the darkness. Not sure about a nice sunrise today, but for the most part it'll be a fairly nice one. The sun and clouds will be duking it out most of the day until the clouds win by early evening and wintry mix ensues tonight. That is overnight...winds (NW 10-15mph w/20mph gusts), rain, sleet, snow and changing back to rain before daybreak Saturday. Tomorrow morning will be icy-cold and all that moisture on the island could provide hazardous conditions if that Mix gives us a decent coating. But hey...the ocean's still 49° and I'm thinking it will continue to insulate us and keep us from freezing up this time round. Remains to be seen, but I'm optimistic. Plus, all the forecasters are saying this will be more of a Mix on the mainland and more north of us. Thinking "positive" is key. Thursday begins with clear skies (completely star filled as I type) and will be sunny throughout the day as clouds roll in. By this evening, we'll have cloud cover with a chance of a sprinkles or flurries. Winds are barely there now, but will wift (I mean waft) in sometime this morning from the NW at 10mph shifting later this afternoon from the South. I'd say a halfway decent day at the Shore. This weekend could break the "dry streak" we've been having for 11 consecutive weekends...looking just a tad "wet". Mornin'! It's 43°. The sky is partially clear as I stepped outside and saw lots of clouds up there but there's a whole section that's clear and starlit. It's windy again...NW @ 20-25mph (gusting at 35mph) and my guess is those winds are pushing the clouds out as I type. It's gonna be mostly sunny and bright and brisk with temps in the the low-40's all day and the "Gales" will be staying checked in all day today and tomorrow. Mornin'! It's 44° this early morn. Temps will reach the mid 50's although the day looks like it will be a crappy one. Skies are cloud covered and its dry now but rains are due in any moment. Here we go with those freaking Winds again as they re-create the sound of a speeding train roaring down the street while surrounding the house and shaking things up a bit. They're out of the South at 20-25mph gusting at 40-50mph. I'd say the "Gales" are definitely checked in. We'll see winds and rain (at times heavy) today until the overnight hours; then some clearing returns to the island's sky. I checked the report for the sea/tides/temps and beginning this evening around dusk and througout the overnight, there will be no incoming swell. Rarely do you see the ocean will looking like a lake! Mornin'! It's currently 52° in Wildwood. But, things-are-a-changing today. Gale warnings and wind advisories are posted today at least until dusk. As I type there's thick cloud cover, winds are howling big time, it's spritzing a bit yet it doesn't even feel cold. These howling winds will blow the clouds and wetness out in fact it's happening right now as I can see some stars in the clearing sky. The sun is due to shine, but these winds will be bringing coldness and wind-chills today. They're coming from the West at 20-30mph gusting at 50mph. The temps will drop into the 40's by later this morning and 30's by this afternoon. Batten down and button up is what I say. More high surf too...at least 10' waves so if you feel like getting a facial as the seaspray and sandblasts will provide if you opt to check out the Sea. Thankfully it will be much calmer but colder tomorrow for those Plungers. And, I'm not talking about those devices that do unclogging. Mornin'! It's 55° in WW this early morn. I can't believe it's almost mid-January and those temperatures are still hanging around. We may even see 60° today. It will begin with some leftover showers this morning as it's still raining coming off the overnight. Winds will pick up (SW at 15-20mph with some big gusts) and the sun and blue sky will return. Mornin'! It's 30° in WW. Sky is clear as the bright moon is glazing over the frosty island. It'll be mostly sunny to start then clouds roll in later. Temps will continue to be mild as mid-upper 40's are forecasted. An easterly breeze 10-15mph comes ashore later bringing with it rains by rush hour. Rush hour? Did you know there is no rush hour in Wildwood? Mornin'! It's 40° in Wildwood. Sun's just arrived as this room is filling with light and warmth. Sky is clear and no winds to report. It's a very nice Winters' morn. Although not as warm as yesterday, the day will be lovely. Temps will rise to the upper 40's and may hit the 50° mark. Winds will slip in later from the N-NW at 10-15mph. It's been hard not to have noticed the moon the last couple evenings. Tonight's the Full Moon. January is the month of the "Full Wolf Moon". It appeared when wolf packs howled hungrily outside indian villages in the midst of the cold and deep snows of mid-winter. I haven't howled yet but my stomach's growling smelling that bacon that's in the midst of hubby's cooking this Sunday morning. Mornin'! Everything is surprisingly covered with a layer of snow this early morn as I wasn't expecting this one. Seems I'm never ready for those first tire tread marks on the streets of the island. In fact, this coming Tuesday may have a high of 29° and it could be time to dig out the woolies. For New Years Day though...a lovely start with mild temps...mid-upper 50's. Winds will blow in this afternoon bringing clouds and a 20% chance of a shower in the early evening hours. Lets talk about these winds shall we? Mornin'! Just wanted to begin by addressing 2011...GOODBYE! I'm really beginning to stack up the years! My first blog was in December of 2009. My personal New Years Journeys...too much reflection, but it is truly amazing how the new year has rapidly descended upon us. To all my blog readers and you know who you are...thanks for taking time to read my words. I check my Stat Counter almost daily and see my blog is read by many people and that includes the places locally, all over the country and all over the world. Mornin'! It's a crisp, 30° in WW this morning. Those pesky winds have diminished making for a very still and quiet start to the day. I can't hear or smell the ocean. It feels like everything should be frost covered, but it's not. Got to see the sunset last evening in North Cape May. I don't recall ever seeing the Bay with white caps before as those winds were really stirring things up. The sunset was lovely just the same as I applauded it when it sank and disappeared. Today's winds are minimal, out of the West and shifting from the SW at 10mph. This morning's sunrise will be crossing the horizon in just about an hour as the clear, starlit sky will be handing the day over. Wildwood will have a sunny start to the day and will eventually give in to some cloud cover. No rain is predicted although a "clipper" will stay north of the island for the next couple days and will throw plenty of clouds in this direction. Mornin'! It's 39° in Wildwood this morning. Temps will get up into the mid 50's today. I'm not getting too excited as it appears to be a raw, rotten, nasty day directly heading right for the island. It'll begin with milky morning clouds turning to thick cloud cover until they finally open up pouring down a steady rain for at least 6 hours beginning after lunchtime and continue into the evening. Along with the rain, winds will be tagging along out of the South then, SE at 15-25mph with 35mph gusts. You know what that means...gale warnings will be out; the seas will be at least 9' today. Sounds kinda nasty, also sounds like I could be christening my new "wellies" and that's much better than snow boots like last year! The Day After

Mornin'! We made it through. It's over. The "day after" depression is now seeping in. It's time to reflect on this day last year and the blizzard we were experiencing right about now with tons of snow covering the island and all the shoveling yet to be done. I'm feeling lighter and happier already. I had a lovely Christmas and am still enjoying it. The weather this year was the perfect accompaniment for the celebration as it was lovely throughout the entire holiday weekend. Today begins with brisk temps...38° now but heading into the upper 40's. It's currently a bit brisk and breezy as the NW winds are gusting up to 35mph. By nightfall, the winds will dissipate. The sun's up and will hang around all day keeping the island shiny and bright. Something else shiny and bright...our future daughter-in-law's engagement ring as she accepted our son's surprise wedding proposal for Christmas! Mornin'! It's 50° in WW. Got the day off and enjoying the pace...very peaceful. I'm enjoying my coffee and the smooth music. Today's music selection is "Soul Violins" by Hall & Oates. Enough of the Christmas music already. I'm done with it, although I'll turn up Kenny Loggins "Celebrate me Home." It's lovely outside...mild, gray, dry, quiet (except for the sounds of the ocean and the winds), and of course sea-air fragrance. Doesn't get any better than that. Temps will stay mild again today as we head into the mid-upper 50's. Yesterday, temps got up to 62° and it was as pleasant as it gets for a winters day! I actually thought "flip-flops" once. This morning cloud cover will eventually blow out but there's a 60% chance of a morning shower. Blue skies will begin peeking in a bit later as the sun won't be making its daily debut until lunchtime. At least we will get to see and feel it. The winds are something to mention as they're sustained at 15-20mph with gusts out of the NW. One forecaster did mentioned "gale warnings". So, to the boaters, you know who you are and I did see a couple boats sailing yesterday on my lunch break, take heed. Tonight...dry. Tomorrow (Christmas Eve) is looking a bit more seasonable as cooler temps (low 40's) will accompany a sunny Day and clear night. Mornin'! It's 51° in Wildwood. Winter begins at midnight tonight. It sure doesn't feel like it though. Temps will rise into the high 50's and possibly reaching 60° today. In the morning darkness, the breezes are kicking up out of the South at 15-20mph bringing with it that morning sea fragrance...very nice. Here's the scoop...it's dry at the moment except for the overnight sea moisture dampening everything on the island. Light showers are headed right in our direction as I blog. At the moment it's cloudy with a bit of a spritzer going on as it's raining very lightly. The sea air is also providing some moisture in the morning air and the roar of the ocean is loud and clear. Mornin'! We're just about to have the 7th consecutive dry and sunny weekend! It's 37° in Wildwood this morning as the sun's about to cross the horizon. There's a stiff breeze in today's early dawn darkness...NW winds 10-15mph with 20mph gusts. I'd love to be on the beach, bundled in winter gear with camera in hand right now, but instead I've opted to type away wearing pj's and slippers as I sit in my toasty warm seashore cottage. Got a fire going this morning. Christmas tree is lit. I just took a batch of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven. I had just enough dough for two more cookie sheets ready to bake and why not? The aroma fits right into the ambiance. Plus, I prefer doing things when the mood strikes. It's so much more pleasurable. So, onto the weather...it'll be like yesterday...party sunny/partly cloudy. Temps will head into the mid-40's as the breeze more or less sticks around making it feel...I was going to say "cold", but "making it feel Christmasy" sounds much better. (I was lucky enough to catch 2 meteors last night while star gazing in the back yard.) No breezes yet. Today will be a mix of clouds and sun, cool and dry and a Northerly breeze thrown in the mix a little later. The breeze will shift from the North to the Northeast at 10mph later today. Temps are supposed to stay in the upper 40's. Rain is due tomorrow, so make the best of this dry, quiet weather. Shopping anyone? Perhaps a walk on the Wall? Bike ride on the Boards? Mornin'! What a nice holiday weekend! The weather and full moon provided some really nice moments. Got to enjoy that moon by the sea way up in Belmar, NJ on Saturday night. Great seashore town along with the some of the best holiday spirit. It's like visiting a Christmas Train platform! Also, got to visit some antique shops. I also baked some yummy Christmas cookies. Life is good. On to today's weather...it's 39° this bright, sunny Monday. I'm a bit late on the blog this morning. I have the day off from work, slept in a bit and intend to finish up the Christmas Shopping. It remains to be seen, but I'm hoping. Mornin'! Whew...Who's tripping down the streets of the city; smiling at everybody she's sees? I'm pretty sure it was "Windy" as the outdoor Christmas Decorations made it through a rough night and are still intact. Wish it wasn't Recycle Day though with Windy still hanging around and shaking us up a bit. Winds will waft throughout the day today but at a much slower pace...15-20mph from the West, yet still gusting. Temperature this morning is 41° and will only reach the mid-upper 40's. This morning's thick cloud cover will move out or I should say blow out and we'll eventually see mostly sunny, clear skies. Except for those winds, Wildwood missed the bullet as we hardly got any rain. I mean it never rained until the overnight hours, but those pesky flood sirens never went off and everything's dry outside. Mornin'! It's 46° in Wildwood this clear, crisp, dark, breezy, autumn morn. My bets are on a beautiful sunrise in less than an hour as the skies are clear again. You can just about make out the last of the stars twinkling in the darkness. Clouds are hovering right along the horizon and it appears they'll have a hand in giving the morning a beautiful presentation. Beginning today, we're going to have sun hang around for quite some time; at least until next Monday. That means the Christmas Beach Bonfire this upcoming Saturday night will have clear skies. Lovely Weekend

Mornin'! I'm back on the island after visiting the ol' neighborhood for a lovely and fun Thanksgiving with many, many blessings in which I'm still thankful. I not only got to have a delicious dinner with my immediate family, I got to share Black Friday visiting with even more family (100% better than shopping) and then ended the day by meeting up with old friends for a bit of cheer. All this while the most lovely autumn weather prevailed! Just great weather as of late which will continue into a lovely weekend. It's 45° in WW this morning. The sun just rose over this sleepy, quiet island. It's going to be another lovely day as the weekend begins. Temperature will rise into the 60's while the sun will stick around most of the day. We will see clouds roll in and hang around off and on but there's no rain predicted until the weekend's over. On all the weather sites I've check, it looks like mostly sunny throughout the weekend as Monday brings with it the drearies and some rain next week for a couple days. Winds (there's none now) will be out of SW at 6mph. High tide: 8:29a.m.; Low tide:2:52p.m.; Ocean temp: 56°; Sunset:4:39p.m. I'd say it's not only a lovely weekend, but a perfect one for getting out those Christmas Decks! Ah...just go for it.

Mornin'! Just want to give a bit of thanks for the gifts I've been given. I'm truly blessed and give a special prayer of gratitude for all the blessings in my life. Mornin'! It's 61° and pouring rain outside as this day and blog begins. Winds are whipping from the South at 16-20mph with gusting. Even though the temperature is fairly mild, it's nasty out there. I can hear the heavy torrents pounding the house and see the streets filling with water along the curbs. Flood advisories are out and there's a 70% chance we're going to be socked in this weather pattern until it turns to spotty showers by this afternoon. Not good if you're traveling. Take your time and be safe! Thankfully, I'll only be traveling to the office...my travel day is tomorrow when the blue sky returns. Mornin'! It's 56° in Wildwood. It doesn't feel cold or raw as it's mild, dry and quiet outside. Clouds will be obscuring any sunrise this morning but at the same time they're insulating the island and enhancing the roar of the ocean which is loud and clear six blocks away. No breezes at the moment but they'll commence later this morning from the E-SE at 10-15mph with some gusting. We're going to get wet today as drizzles will begin later this morning turning to a steadier rain on and off which will continue throughout the evening and into tomorrow. This huge storm will not only have intermittent rain but also thunder and lightning. Next bright, sunny day looks like Thanksgiving. We'll be adding "beautiful weather" to our thankful list Thursday. Mornin'! It's 52° in Wildwood. Currently there are no breezes, no chill, no rain, no dawn yet. It's all coming though. By the looks of the dark sky, there is some major cloud cover but it seems to be breaking up somewhat. We may get to see some sort of sunrise in less than an hour afterall. Forecasters are saying that it should be raining as I type, but it's dry out there at the moment. There's a 70% chance of rain throughout the entire day right up into the evening. As the rains take a bow, the chilly winds (NW @ 10-20mph) take center stage bringing with them a significant drop in temperature. We're talking 40° temps before this afternoon. Sounds like a damp, raw day...sweater weather for sure! Or, if you're lucky enough...comfy sofa, good book, warm mug of cocoa, fireplace crackling and a soft throw over your lap as you listen to the cold autumn winds howling over the island. I don't think we'll be seeing a sunrise this humpday due to cloud cover. There will be periods of rain throughout most of the day and not a total washout, but I'd count on a mostly wet Wednesday. Temps will rise into the mid-60's again as that seems to be the norm this week, but that will be changing up too as temperatures will be lower tomorrow and Friday. The best part is I made it to the beach for the sunrise today and it was breathtaking. Mornin'! It's 53° this morning. It's a wet one. By that I mean there's some dense fog (no rain) over the island making the quiet morning darkness sound incredibly noisy with water dripping everywhere. Not only that, the fog's insulating the island which is increasing the roar of the ocean and that's from 6 blocks away. Also in the mix is the aromatic "essence of the sea" wafting in the slightly opened kitchen window. It doesn't get any better than that in my opinion as what's not to love when the atmosphere is so dramatic? It'll be partly cloudy/partly sunny today with a 30% chance of showers throughout most of the day. Looks like the sunrise is obscured this morning and not sure if the Moonrise will be visible later this afternoon due to the cloud cover. I'll be keeping a close watch. Mornin'! It's 42° this morning. You can smell the "essence of the sea" outside as well as hearing the birds chirping in the darkness. Sun's due up in less than an hour and once over that horizon...abundant sunshine all day today. No breezes to write about this early morn, but light, variable winds out of the SW at 5-7mph will waft over the island today. Temps will rise into the mid-upper 50's today. Mornin'! It's 45° and cloudy this not so early Sunday morn. Got to enjoy the extra hour's sleep. It's supposed to begin to get sunny as the clouds move on. Right now, it's looking a bit gray and dreary. Forecast: temperature will rise to the low-mid 50's as the sun pushes the cloud cover aside making a mostly sunny Sunday. There's a very light breeze now, and will pick up just a bit at 7-10mph from the N-NE. I'm betting on a nice autumn Sunday. I hope so...we're taking down the canvas awnings today. I visited the beach yesterday and there was more than a "chill" in the air; it was downright cold. First time since last winter have I felt that true nip of frosty air. It's coming! Mornin'! It's 43° this bright, brisk, blustery, sunny morning. "Bright" is putting it mildly. You need sunglasses to enjoy my enclosed sunporch this morning. It's a little later for me...slept in a bit I'm happy to say. It's the last of the Daylight Savings Time days this year. Enjoy the sunset today at 5:55p.m. as tomorrow it will in the 4 o'clock hour. It'll be bright and sunny all day. Winds are present as they are blowing in from the NE at 18-25mph with some gusting. Another bad hair day. But, a great surfing day as waves will be on average 12.5' today! Temps will reach the low 50's and blue, cloudless skies abound; a pleasant autumn day at the Shore. Mornin'! It's 48° in Wildwood. It's still dark with the "essence of the sea" in the air. Imagine that one on your wrist? It's dry out but skies are thickly cloud covered so my guess is no sunrise this morning. There's a 90% chance of rain this early morn, but that percent decreases as the morning moves along. By this afternoon...20% chance of rain as clouds begin to clear out and peeks of blue sky appear. Temps will get up near the low 60's. No breezes yet, but NE winds are arriving taking these clouds away and bringing 20-25 mph wafts gusting at 40mph. Looks like it could turn into a bad hair day.
