Rainy First Friday of June

Mornin'!  It's 65° in Wildwood.  The island's cloud covered as the rains have begun to pour down.  It's breezy and will get breezier as today progresses coming from the S-SE at 20-25mph and will ramp up with gusting from the same direction at 35-40mph.  There's a 100% chance of rain today and most of it heavy as this fast moving tropical storm crosses our sandy path.  The island is under a flood watch as at least 2" of rain are expected (maybe more some forecasts say).  Temps are supposed to reach the low-70's and make for a muggy one.  Weekend's looking 50-50 as tomorrow may be cloudy and have an isolated shower or two and Sunday...sunnier.  Thought for the day..."flipflops or wellies"?

Spring in the air!

Mornin'!  It's 59° in WW this morning.  The air has a bit of a chill in it along with the fragrance of the sea wifting (I mean wafting) in the light breeze.  The sky is clear and about to welcome Ms. Sun as she's crossing the horizon as I type.  It'll be partly sunny today with temps tapping 70° again as we enjoy yet another lovely Spring day down the Shore.  Breezes will begin to ramp up this afternoon from the E-SE at 18-20mph and by tonight 20-26mph as clouds and rain have the island in its sites.  Rain showers should be beginning by bedtime tonight and continue right through until Saturday.  We're expecting a pretty decent rain event tomorrow.  But for today...a nice one so get out and enjoy!

The "Nice" ones just keep coming!

Mornin'!  It's 58° in sunny Wildwood-by-the-Sea!  There's not a cloud in the sky and Ms. Sun's up and shining brightly.  It'll be sunny today with temps in the mid-high 60's and perhaps tapping the 70° mark.  Breezes will be light coming from the E and shifting from the E-SE at 8-12mph.  Another nice Spring day at the Shore.  Rains are still due in this weekend...mostly Friday and Saturday as Sunday's looking sunny.

Spring in the air!

Mornin'!  It's 63° in Wildwood.  Part of the morning sky is clear and the other part...thick, gray clouds.  The part that's clear is where the sun is rising at the moment.  And, the clouds are beginning to turn pink and purple.  I was just outside on the back porch checking the ol' thermometer and was lucky to see a loud, geese flyover right over my head.  A really nice start to the day.  Breezes are in the morning mix coming from the North at 15-20mph.  They'll shift by mid-day from the W-NW at 5-10mph.  Temps are hitting the low-70's as Ms. Sun pours down all day.  Just another perfect Spring day down the Shore!  I hate to ruin this blog post, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday have rain in the forecast.  Hubby keeps saying "I have a gut feeling that this summer's going to be a rainy weekend summer."  Jeez, I hope he's wrong.

Rainy Days and Mondays

Mornin'!  It's 65° in WW.  The island's having a light shower at the moment.  Winds are coming from the S-SW at 20-25mph.  It's looking like a rainy day at the shore today as there's a 90% chance of rain showers all day into tonight.  The clouds and rain should be out of here by tomorrow early afternoon. Winds will be shifting later this afternoon and come from the N-NW at 5-10mph as temps move up into the lo-mid 70s.  Pack those umbrellas as Mother Nature is watering those lovely green lawns, Spring flowers and plants for us today.  Nothing like good ol' rainy days and Mondays!  High tide:5:08p.m.; Low tide:10:34a.m.; Ocean temp:59°; Sunset:8:22p.m.

Another lovely Shore Day!

Mornin'!  It's 64° this breezy, first Sunday of June.  The sky is clear and we'll all get to see Ms. Sun as she's rising as I type.  The birds seem to be shouting the good news..."another lovely Spring day at the shore".  Temps will reach the mid-upper 70's as breezes continue to keep us cool.  Coming from the S-SW at 25-30mph with some gusting, the winds will make for a perfect "linens on the line" kind of day.  Not what you would call a great beach day...for lounging that is; perhaps a walk on the beach instead.  The sun will stick around until this evening as rain (could be heavy at times) is due to check in tonight and not check out until Tuesday (70% chance).

Welcome June!

Mornin'!  It's June!  It's 69° in Wildwood as June opens its doors and welcomes a beautiful Spring day on the island.  It'll be very nice today as the sun pours down, temps tap the 80° mark and breezes are gentle from the S-SW at 12-15mph.  Summer's certainly peeking in!
