Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood.  Same start as yesterday...overcast, hazy and humid.  No breezes at the moment.  It's gonna be a bit on the warm side with temps climbing into the upper 80s and not surprised if we tap 90° when Ms Sun begins showing off.  It'll be mostly sunny with light clouds in the mix.  Breezes will be out of S-SW at 10-15mph.  Tonight...mostly clear with temps back in the low-mid 70s and breezes staying out of the S-SW.  No precipitation in the forecast today or tonight.  Tomorrow...60% chance of precipitation.  So far...the weekend's looking A-ok.

Gray Monday

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood.  We've got us some heavy cloud cover but along the horizon, Ms Sun is below all the dark clouds peeking in. Love when that happens. She just might set the gray clouds on fire with her majestic sun rise. There's lots of humidity and moisture in the air.  Feels like it might rain any minute.  A couple forecasts I've checked said showers in the morning with clouds in the afternoon.  One forecast said just clouds all day.  I'm going with the one that said 40% chance of showers and/or thunderstorms today. In fact, right now the doppler's got some kind of weather system heading right for Wildwood as I sit here.  Winds will be out of the E-SE at 14-19mph as temps get into the low 80s.  Tonight...back into the low 70s as breezes come out of the S-SE at 15-23mph. Tomorrow looks like a repeat of today.

Lovely Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 73° in sunny Wildwood.  It's quiet (except for the seagulls) with no breezes to talk about.  There's no broken glass on the property this morning and everything's intact and looking fine.  The revelers were out in droves last night.  I have to say that includes me and hubby as we enjoyed a lovely evening down in Wildwood Crest at a free beach concert and got to see the great fireworks display.  It's been a nice 4th of July weekend! It'll be a lovely day today as Ms Sun tries to push the clouds around as it'll be a mix of clouds and sun today. Temps will be in the upper 70s and/or just tapping 80°.  Breezes will be out of the E-SE today 8-10mph.  Tonight...increasing clouds rolling in with temps down in the low-70s while breezes remain out of the SE at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow's looking "eh" with more clouds rolling in and a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm.

Happy 4th of July!

Mornin'!  It's 71° in Wildwood.  Happy 4th of July!  It's overcast with a good amount of cloud cover as Ms Sun's giving it all she's got to shine through.  It's a tad breezy (E-NE 15-23mph) and dry.  I just swept up the broken beer bottles from my property and sidewalk as sirens are blaring everywhere in the distance at 6a.m.!  Like I said "Happy 4th of July"!  Where's that seagull laughter in the distance when you need it?  It'll be "eh" today as there's a 40% chance of showers and/or thunderstorms this morning into this afternoon.  Temps...mid-upper 70s and breezes...E-NE at 18-23mph.  Parades could be at risk for holiday crapola weather but late afternoon backyard BBQs and fireworks tonight looking salvageable. Tonight...considerable cloudiness with temps in the mid-upper 60s and winds N-NE at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow...plenty of sun with temps tapping 80°.

The Celebration Begins

Mornin'!  The celebration of July 4th has officially begun!  It's 69° in Wildwood. I'm getting a late start to the blog this morning. Totally sidetracked with other stuff on my day off.  I'm happy to say I've got a long weekend ahead of me! It's overcast and hazy at the moment. Ms Sun's giving it her best shot though. It's dry and a bit humid. And, it's amazingly quiet with every empty home surrounding me now filled (probably not to capacity yet) and every single available parking space in the neighborhood taken. Amazing what one (2 if you include the Memorial Day holiday) weekend can be transformed into.  Time to "vacation" baby!
Okay, lets do today's weather...a mix of clouds and sun with that chance of a stray shower and/or thunderstorm again (we got hit intensely yesterday with one of those).  There's a smaller chance today (20%) than yesterday (yesterday's was 40-60%). Keep your eye on the sky or doppler. Temps are going into the mid-upper 70s with breezes off the ocean (nice) E-NE at 5-10mph. Tonight...clouds still in the mix with a 40% chance of a shower and/or thunderstorm. Temps back down into the upper 60s with breezes still off the ocean at E-SE at 5-10mph. Tomorrow...sorry to say there's a 60% chance of rain all day and night.  We could see peeks of sun and not have a total washout kind of day so have your alternative plans in order. Sunday's the better of the weekend days being mostly sunny and warm (low 80s) with breezes off the land. By the way...breezes off the land (Westerly) could mean the attack of the green head flies on the beach.  They love coconut oiled, sweaty, salty bodies and bite really hard.  Put "repellent" on the beach bag check list. Tides are still running a bit high and low due to that full moon we had this week. It sure doesn't help intense rain showers (flooding) or parking as some streets put forth tide waters and you sure don't want to introduce your vehicle to that sea water if you don't have to. Have fun celebrating our freedom!

Holiday Mix

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood.  It's quiet (except for the seagulls) with a light overcast haze over the island.  We're supposed to expect clouds and showers today with no major heatwaves (90+degrees) in the plan. It is a bit humid though. Today will be mostly overcast with rain showers and/or thunderstorms at times (60% chance).  Temps in the upper 70s with breezes out of the E-NE at 8-10mph.  Tonight...considerable cloudiness with more rain possible.  Temps down into the upper 60s. I'm getting various weather reports for the weekend but for the most part it looks a bit crappy if you want unlimited sun and blue skies.  Not gonna happen.  But, no all day soaking rains either... like 40-60% chance of showers and/or thunderstorms today through Saturday.  Sunday's still the only day with sun pouring down, low 80s  and 0% chance of precipitation.  I'm gone with mostly gray for the next couple days...no rainy washouts...just not perfect beach days.  You know.  Keep your eye on the sky and doppler (http://m.weatherbug.com/NJ/Wildwood-weather/local-radar/doppler-radar?cid=14) .

Welcome aboard July!

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood.  We're under some clouds.  In fact, it's spitting out there...little droplets of rain on the ol' skylight this morning.  We're going to have a mix of clouds and sun with stray showers and/or thunderstorms on the menu all day (20% chance).  Temps...high of 84° with W-SW breezes wifting (wafting) over the island at 5-10mph.  Tonight...some clearing but clouds are staying checked in as more stray showers and/or thunderstorms are still possible as temps head back into the upper 60s and winds will be light and variable from the W-SW.  Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday all have that possibility of rain showers in their forecasts (30-40% chance) with Sunday coming in as the first full sunny-cloudless day in July! Full Moon is today...watch that tidal flooding and not sure if we'll actually see that stupendous full moon rise this evening.  Keep your eye on the sky!
