Gray, Rainy Start - Clear, Partly Sunny Ending As July Comes To An End

Mornin'!  It's 74° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under cloud cover and even had a light rain shower a few moments ago.  Humidity's 94% with a Dewpoint of 72°.  Winds are out of the NE at 5-7mph.  Expect rain showers and/or thunderstorms this morning along with scattered rain events into this early afternoon... 90% chance.  1-2 inches of rain expected this morning but the chances of rain lower as the morning rolls along and by early afternoon... only 40% chance of rain.  Temps will just about tap 80° with breezes out of the NE at 10-15mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, 20% chance of precipitation, temps in the low-70s with N-NE breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... partly sunny skies, high of 83° and Easterly breezes at 5-10mph.  Sunday... starting out a bit gray and possibly wet with thunderstorms but will turn into a partly cloudy / partly sunny afternoon and clear by evening.  Hurricane Isaias (category I) is still forming below Florida and now has a trajectory of heading to the "east" coast of the state beginning tomorrow morning.  Keeping a watch on that.  For today... a little of this and a little of that in regards to the weather.  Oh... the Full Moon is Monday as the tides are beginning to be higher than normal.  You just may see some tidal flooding on the streets especially if we get heavy rainfall during high tide times.  Until next year July... see ya on the other side (hopefully)!

The Summer Steam Continues

Mornin'!  It's 76° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 95% with a Dewpoint of 73°.  It's still with hardly a breeze... SW at 2-3mph.  It's muggy and warm this early morning as Ms Sun is rising.  She'll be up in about a half hour.  Expect another warm day with a mix of clouds and sun this morning giving way to cloudy skies this afternoon.  Rain showers and/or thunderstorms could begin as early as 2-3pm this afternoon.  Keep your eye on the sky! Temps will be up there... mid-90s with W-SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... scattered showers and/or thunderstorms (60% chance) with temps in the low-mid 70s and E-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... considerable cloudiness with 60% chance of rain and much lower temps than today... upper 70s-low 80s.  NE winds will check in at 5-10mph.  At this time the weekend looks like Saturday will be a relatively cloudy day and Sunday could be a rainy day but it just might be another cloudy day... I'll keep you posted.

Another Very Hot One

Mornin'!  It's 79° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 90% with a Dewpoint of 76°.  Breezes are barely there out of the W-NW at 2-3mph.   It's thick outside. Ms Sun just broke through some morning cloud cover and has begun the simmer for today.  Expect another "take your breath away" hot one today.  Temps will be in the mid-90s with abundant sunshine.  Yesterday's heat index hit 104° (what it actually feels like).  Winds will be out of the West again at 5-10mph.  Tonight... mostly clear, low 70s and winds light and variable.  There's a 10% chance of a passing shower and/or thunderstorm throughout the day or night but 10% isn't anything to worry about.  Tomorrow... a mix of clouds and sun with more heat wave temps (mid-90s).  I did go to the beach yesterday morning for a few hours and the flies were biting as the West winds bring them to the beach every time.  Remember to pack the insect repellent.  Also, once again I witnessed (and it's mind-blowing each and every time) people including children with nothing on their feet.  The beach sand is excessively hot and to see these folks try to traverse across some areas of a couple blocks long is painful to watch.  I'll never understand it; it's sad.  This coming weekend looks "eh" as there's a mix of weather up ahead.  Saturday looks pretty good with a mix of clouds and sun and warm temps but Sunday has a "mostly cloudy - 40% chance of rain" in the forecast.  Remains to be seen as weather changes all the time.  There is a storm warning with tropical storm conditions in the Caribbean that could possibly be heading to the US... Tropcial Storm Isaias could impact Florida by the weekend.

Dog Days Of Summer

Mornin'!  It's 78° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 91% with a Dewpoint of 73°.  Breezes are light out of the W-SW at 4-6mph.  It's early and still dark with the sky full of stars.  It's beautiful outside.  It'll be another very hot day with temps in the mid-upper 90s as Ms Sun heats the island up.  It's going to be very humid and feel like 104°.   Winds will be out of the West at 10-15mph.  By this afternoon, clouds will filter in bringing along the 50% chance of showers and/or thunderstorms.  Storms could be severe with strong gusty winds.  Keep your eye on the sky!  Tonight... partly cloudy with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible.  Temps will drop into the low-70s with West winds at 5-10mph. Tomorrow... another hot summer day ahead with temps in the mid-90s and those warm West winds keeping the island even warmer.  Those winds also carry our favorite green-head flies!

Hottest Summer Day So Far This Year

Mornin'!  It's 78° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under clear, sunny skies with barely a breeze outside (W-SW at 2-4mph).  Humidity's 92% with a Dewpoint of 75°.  The Humidity will drop down by later this morning.  Don't let that fool you... expect a very hot day with a bit of cloud cover, temps climbing into the low-mid 90s with a heat index of 100° along with West winds at 10-15mph.  And, as usual there's that 20% chance of a possible shower and/or thunderstorms with the heat build up today.  Tonight... a bit of cloud cover with temps dropping into the low-70s and West winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... generally the same as today but even a bit warmer... mid-upper 90s.  Don't forget foot wear for that incredibly scorching beach sand today along with insect repellent for the biting green-head flies riding along those West winds heading for a feast at the beach.

Steamy Saturday

Mornin'!  It's 74° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 100% with a Dewpoint of 73°.  We're under clear skies but everything's looking and feeling like a tropical rain forest outside.  We're talking... soaked!  After yesterday's off and on rain showers and the overnight thick humidity and cloud cover, we're wringing wet at the moment.  There are clouds along the horizon impeding this morning's sunrise but Ms Sun will eventually rise above them and begin to heat up the coast.  Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine today as temps tap 90°.  The humidity will drop some and rise up again late tonight but one way or another it'll be a very warm, sticky day today.  Winds will be out of the N-NW becoming SE by the afternoon at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly clear / partly cloudy with temps in the low-mid 70s and SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... mostly clear and sunny and a tad warmer than today.  Remember with this heat and humidity, there's always a chance of a pop-up shower and/or thunderstorm.  If you hear the rumble of thunder, prepare accordingly.  Tropical Storm Hanna is going to impact Texas as well as Hurricane Douglas which is bearing down on the Hawaiian Islands this weekend. Consider us lucky in the weather department for now.
If heading to the beach this weekend... remember your mask, footwear, sunblock, water, umbrella, insect repellent and anything you can think of to make your day more comfortable and enjoyable.

Mostly Gray Friday

Mornin'!  It's 78° in Wildwood, NJ.  It's gray and misty but no rain coming down at the moment.  It's calm with hardly a breeze to note (W-NW at 2-4mph).  The humidity's very heavy at 87% with a dewpoint of 74°.  The doppler's showing rain clouds directly over us but not much is making it to the ground.  Could be only minutes before rain showers commence.  Expect rain this morning (60% chance) as we could even see showers and/or thunderstorms throughout the day.  Temps will rise into the low-mid 80s with NW winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible (20% chance).  Temps will drop into the low-mid 70s with winds light and variable.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy and not as warm as it has been this week.  Temps will be in the low-80s with E-NE breezes at 5-10mph and Sunday will be mainly sunny, warming back up again near 90°.  There are a few storms ramping up in this active hurricane season of ours and so far, nothing aimed at our coast.  However, one is a tropical storm "Hanna" forming in the Gulf of Mexico headed for Texas, one is a hurricane "Douglas" with its sights on Hawaii and the other possibly soon-to-be a hurricane "Gonzalo" in the Atlantic headed toward the Leeward islands (Barbados, St Lucia etc).  Keep your fingers crossed these warm waters don't decide to feed the atmosphere off our coast and head toward New Jersey!

Mornin'!  It's 79° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 89% with a Dewpoint of 75°.  It's cloudy and breezy... W-SW at 9-12mph.  It'll be mostly sunny (once these clouds check out) and humid today with temps in the upper 80s and South winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... 50% chance of rain showers in the evening with clouds checking out around midnight.  These storms could be severe.  We had storms all around us late last night (lightning and thunder) but just a few raindrops as the storm bypassed Wildwood.  Tonight... not sure if we'll be so lucky.  Tonight's temps where they are now... mid-upper 70s with SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy with more thunderstorms possible in the afternoon (40% chance) with warm, humid temps.  For now, the weekend's looking A-OK.

The Heat Wave Continues

Mornin'!  It's 81° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 83% with a Dewpoint of 73°.  It's warm when stepping outside this early morn.  Skies are clear with not much in breezes to note... N-NE 2-4mph.  Expect a mix of clouds and sun today with temps near 90° and E-NE breezes at 10-15mph.  There's a 20% chance of precipitation (rain showers and/or thunderstorms passing through) both today and tonight.  Tonight... mostly clear with a few clouds in the mix.  Temps down into the mid-70s with light and variable breezes.  Tomorrow... a repeat of today.  Today's breezes will be more refreshing than yesterday for sure as they'll be coming off the cooler ocean than that searing beach.  Still, today's sand will be intensely hot.  Remember what to pack for the beach... footwear, a hat, umbrella, plenty of water etc.  Keep a "beach check-list" handy and follow through (it makes it easier).  My beach list consists of: all of the above plus a mask, my phone, small spray bottle of water, my book, a camera, a blanket, a sand chair, a sand grabber for the umbrella, a bungee to keep the umbrella anchored on a windy day, a towel, a small trash bag, insect repellent, sunscreen, a small first aid kit (bandaids, alcohol wipes, small bottle of vinegar for possible jelly fish sting, Tylenol), lunch or a snack, phone, Ipod/headset, comb/brush, a cover up and of course ID or anything else you can think of for your "stuff".  Happy Beaching!

New Moon Monday and Heat Wave Time

Mornin!  It's 84° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got  Key West conditions this morning with blue skies, humidity at 85% and dewpoint... 77° with hardly a breeze out of the W-NW at 3-5mph.  It's warm this morning!  It feels like 95° (heat index) and it's only 8AM.  Expect a hot one today as temps continue to climb... mid-upper 90s (and that's not the heat index) with West winds (land breezes) at 10-15mph.  We're going to have some hazy clouds in the mix as well with 20% chance of rain showers and/or thunderstorms.  Tonight... partly cloudy, mid-upper 70s and those West winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... a much better summer day with temps barely tapping 90°!  The winds will be out of the East (off the ocean) and much more comfortable.  Okay, so for today, if heading the beach, it's going to be extreme.  That Wildwood "white" sand will be almost unbearably hot... footwear people!  Not to mention, pack water, sunscreen, hat, umbrella and insect repellent.  No doubt the green head flies will be heading to the beach today with those West winds.  Quite frankly... not one of those great beach days today.  Also, don't forget to keep your eye on the sky or doppler as this build up of extreme heat will almost inevitably bring the storms.  It's the New Moon today meaning there's barely a moon up in the sky but the effects are the same as a Full Moon... the Tides will be much higher and lower than normal.  You could very well see the sea water seeping into the streets. Careful where you park your vehicle as there are many low-lying areas on the island!

Foggy Start - Hot Sunny Sunday

Summer - 2016
Mornin'!  It's 78° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got fog this morning!  Humidity's 89% with a Dewpoint of 75°.  We're under some major soupy conditions at the moment.  Breezes are light out of the S-SW at 4-6mph.  It's heavy outside and when Ms Sun shines through, it'll be even heavier when today's heat begins the build up of high temps and humidity. Expect a cloudy start with sunshine a bit later this morning.  It's going to be a hot one with temps in the upper 80s - low 90s and Southerly breezes at 10-20mph.  Tonight... mostly clear with temps in the mid-upper 70s and S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... mainly sunny with some afternoon clouds and a 20% chance of a stray rain shower and/or thunderstorm.  Temps will be in the 90s again.   Remember to prepare accordingly... water, footwear, umbrella, hat, sunscreen etc. (you know the drill).

Mornin'!  It's 75° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under thick cloud cover and looks like it could start raining any minute now.  Humidity's 87% with a Dewpoint of 73°.  Breezes are out of the S-SW at 10-15mph.  Looks like we're in for some rain showers this morning (60% chance) but most of  the clouds will head on out of here by this afternoon as we're supposed to have a partly sunny / partly cloudy afternoon with a high of 85° and S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... 40% chance of rain with cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms in our area are possible.  Those stiff S-SW winds will be staying checked in at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny with a stray shower and/or thunderstorm possible (20% chance).  Temps will be in the mid-upper 80s with SE breezes at 5-10mph.  Sunday looks like a repeat of Saturday but a tad warmer.  This weekend (if our skies cooperate), we may have the opportunity to see 5 Planets in the early morning twilight (just about an hour before sunrise).  Mercury (right side of the Crescent moon), Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in the eastern sky will be visible to the naked eye!

Mix Of Sun and Clouds

Mornin'!  It's 72° in Wildwood NJ.  It's an incredibly lovely morning!  It feels comfortably cool with low humidity (77%) and breezes off the invigorating ocean (E-SE) at 10-13mph.  Ms Sun's shining.  Expect a mix of clouds and sun today with temps barely tapping 80°.  Those "off the ocean" breezes - E-SE direction will be wifting (wafting) over the island at a nice clip (10-20mph).  If using a beach umbrella at the beach today, use a sand grabber and/or bungee cord to anchor down.
Tonight... more clear sky with clouds in the mix too as temps drop into the low-70s with winds out of the S-SE at 10-15mph.  I was able and lucky to see Pluto and Jupiter last night in the starlit sky.  Very cool.
Tomorrow... more cloud cover with a stray shower possible.  Temps will be a bit warmer (mid-80s) with Southerly winds.  The weekend's looking good to go... mostly sunny and warm.

Lovely Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 78° in sunny and bright Wildwood NJ.  Just like yesterday, it's another lovely start to the day with low humidity (76%) and a Dewpoint of 69°.  Breezes are barely there out of the North at 4-6mph.  It'll be a mostly sunny day with a few afternoon clouds filtering in as temps get into the low-mid 80s with E-NE winds at 12-18mph.  Tonight... a few clouds in the starlit sky (speaking of starlit sky, keep a close watch for the planet Pluto which will be bright and clearly visible in the sky tonight.  It'll appear as a dim star just southeast of Jupiter).  Temps will be in the low-70s with E-SE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... almost the same as today.  But, a bit cooler with a little more clouds in the mix.  At this time, the weekend's looking pretty decent.  We could wake to rain showers both Saturday and Sunday which will save me from watering.  Otherwise, it looks like we're good to go.

Another Perfect Summer Day

Mornin'!  It's 74° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining brightly.  Breezes are light out of the N-NW at 4-6mph.  Humidity's low... 71% with a Dewpoint of 66°.  All the island birds are chirping and laughing and all is well with the world.  Well, let's put it this way... outside my door in Wildwood NJ, all seems well.  And, quite lovely.
It'll be a warm summer's day with abundant blue sky and sunshine as temps heat up into the mid-upper 80s with NW breezes at 10-15mph.  It looks like this afternoon those NW breezes could turn to Westerly breezes so pack that insect repellent if heading to the beach as the biting Greenhead flies come along with those breezes most of the time.  Wear footwear as the beach sand will be cooking today.  Tonight... mostly clear, low 72° and West winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... more of the same.

Mornin'!  It's 76° in Wildwood NJ.  It's sunny and bright.  It's warm but not that humid.  Humidity's 78% with a Dewpoint of 72°.  Breezes are light out of the NW at 6-8mph.  It's a perfectly lovely morning.  Expect a partly cloudy to partly sunny day with temps in the mid-upper 80s and W-NW winds at 8-11mph.  There's a 20% chance of a passing shower and/or thunderstorm.  Tonight... mainly clear skies with temps in the low-mid 70s and West winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... blue, clear, sunny skies and temps in the mid-upper 80s.  This week looks fantastic in the weather department by the way... we're looking at warm temps and sunny, blue skies at least until Saturday.  I'll report on any changes.  Remember, when there are any West winds in the forecast... those pesky biting greenhead flies may be hovering.  Don't forget your insect repellent.  And, the sand will once again be burning hot... footwear people!  Footwear!  You wouldn't believe what I see.

It'll be a lovely Sunday in Wildwood.  Expect sunny skies, temps in the mid-upper 80s with S-SW winds becoming South by later this afternoon all at 10-15mph.  Tonight... a few clouds filter in with a 20% chance of a passing shower as temps drop to the low-mid 70s with S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... lots more clouds in the sky than today for sure.  Temps in the mid-upper 80s with West winds at 10-15mph and of course that 20% chance of rain.

Mostly Sunny With Some Clouds and Winds in the Mix

Mornin'!  It's 74° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Fay left our area yesterday afternoon thankfully.  She certainly made her mark with lots of coastal beach erosion, tidal flooding and winds gusting to beat the band.  She's in our wake.
It's currently sunny, warm, with light breezes (S-SW at 5-10mph).  Humidity's 94% with a Dewpoint of 75° making it feel very humid and sticky at the moment.  Expect a mostly sunny day with variable cloud cover in the afternoon hours.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 80s with S-SW breezes ramping up to 15-25mph.  We could see a passing rain shower and/or an isolated thunderstorm both in the early and late afternoon (40% chance).  Keep your eye on the sky! Tonight... mainly clear, low 74° and winds out of the W-SW at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... sunny, mid-upper 80s with S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Monday... a 40% chance of rain.

Multiple Hazards In Effect: Marine Warning, Flash Flood Warning, Tropical Storm Warning, Rip Currents Warning, Hazardous Surge Warnings, Beach Erosion Warning, Hazardous Winds

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ.  Fay's here! You talk about miserable! She came onshore very late last night... around 1-2am very quietly with light rainfall.  This is what Fay's doing now... first off, she's a tropical storm roaring in from the Ocean bringing with her very heavy, wind driven rains. There's a potential for flash flooding and even isolated tornadoes.  It's currently raining heavily with winds out of the E-NE at 25-35mph +gusting.  Humidity's 95% with a 73° Dewpoint.  Expect a "washout" today with showers and/or thunderstorms likely (100% chance) as temps tap 80°.  Easterly winds are on tap at 25-35mph +gusting throughout the day.  Tonight... beginning to clear as Fay heads north.  20% chance of rain with SW winds at 10-20mph.  Temps will head down to where they are now... low-mid 70s.  Tomorrow... starting out sunny and turning partly cloudy by mid-day with 40% chance of scattered rain showers and/or thunderstorms.  It's a "keep your eye on the sky" kind of day. Temps in the low-mid 80s with S-SW winds at 10-20mph +gusting.  Sunday... perfection.

Nice Day - Not So Nice This Evening

Mornin'!  It's 75° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's rising as I type. There's an early morning summer haze over the island but this early sunshine will take no time burning it off.  It's humid and muggy... humidity's at 95% with a Dewpoint of 74° with barely a breeze (East 2-4mph). It's going to be a sunny first half of the day with a mix of sun and cloud as temps get into the mid-upper 80s with Easterly winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... we've got a stormy weather system getting ready to bear down on us this evening with 70% chance of showers becoming steady rain overnight.  Temps will drop back to where they are now... low-mid 70s with winds still out of the East at 15-25mph.  We could experience some heavy rainfall.  Tomorrow... completely crapola.  Rainy and windy (90% chance) with the potential for heavy rainfall.  Temps will just about tap 80° with East winds at 20-30mph.
Various forecasters have posted that an area of low pressure has been monitored along the coast of South Carolina for tropical development (tropical storm and/or hurricane) the last couple days.  This storm involves heavy rain, flooding, gusty winds along the coasts including ours.  It involves our weather turning into cloudy and rainy and a windy situation beginning later tonight into tomorrow and continue through to early Saturday.  Just be aware that there's a storm brewing out in the ocean right now and could maneuver to our shore line any time beginning tonight and stay checked in for a couple days.  As for nice weather... the next really lovely day (other than today) appears to be next Wednesday.  Until then, it'll be unsettled with anywhere from 20-90% chance of rain and/or storms (along with some sunshine).  Keep your eye on the sky (and the weather doppler).

Keep Your Eye On The Sky

Mornin'!  Happy Primary Election Day in New Jersey!  It's 72° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 88% with a Dewpoint of 70°.  Ms Sun's up and brightly shining as breezes are light out of the S-SE at 4-6mph.  The beach has some low lying ground fog on the dunes as yesterday's and last night's storms gave the island a good drenching.  Ms Sun's burning off the dew as I type. Thank goodness for Mother Nature's watering as we truly haven't had a good torrential soaking like that in a very long time.  North of us has... Ocean City, Atlantic City, Sea Isle City... all have been getting these storms along with many inches of rainfall and even major flooding as of late.  But, not Wildwood.  I've been watering my gardens every single day since who knows when. But, not today!  Beginning around 4pm yesterday (during the mass beach exodus) when the skies darkened bringing the huge storm clouds, the thunder and lightning began, along with consistent stormy, rainy weather.  I stayed up until around midnight as it began to wind down.  Who knows if it continued throughout the night as I slept through it if it had.  We had no flooding from the steady tropical rainfall either.
Today's weather will be a mix of sun and clouds with a 30-40% chance of a scattered shower or thunderstorm both this morning and into this afternoon.  It's another day of keeping "an eye on the sky".  Temps will get into the low-mid 80s with S-SE breezes at 5-15mph.  Tonight... some light cloud cover but mostly clear, temps in the low-mid 70s with Southerly breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny, stray afternoon shower is possible, mid-80s and Southerly breezes.  Remember to get out and vote if you haven't already mailed in your ballot!

A Little Of This and A Little Of That Today

Mornin'!  It's 75° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 84% with a Dewpoint of 72°.  Ms Sun had to push through some morning cloud cover, but she's up and shining brightly.  Breezes are light out of the SW at 7-9mph.  It'll be a lovely, sunny morning into the afternoon as temps get into the mid-upper 80s. Scattered rain showers and/or thunderstorms  are going to be developing this afternoon somewhere around 2-4pm (40% chance).  Keep your eye on the sky!  Winds are going to pick up today as well out of the S-SW at 10-20mph.  Tonight... 80% chance of rain, low of 73°, winds out of the S-SE at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... kind of gray with variable cloud cover and 60% chance of rain with those stiff Southerly winds at 10-20mph.

Full Moon Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 88% with a Dewpoint of 68°.  We're currently under cloud cover mostly at the horizon not allowing Ms Sun to show herself.  Breezes are out of the SW at 2-4mph and it's feeling very comfortable outside.  Once the sun's up and over the cloud cover, things will begin to heat up. Expect a partly sunny / partly cloudy day with a 20% chance of rain as temps rise into the low-mid 80s with S-SW breezes at 9-13mph.  Tonight... mostly clear with a few passing clouds and 10% chance of a scattered rain shower. Independence Day

Mornin'!  Happy 4th of July!  It's 75° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 89% with a 71° Dewpoint.  It's feeling on the cooler side for sure but the humidity hits you immediately when stepping out the door.  It's cloudy and gray as Ms Sun's on the back burner at the moment.  Breezes are out of the E-NE at 7-9mph.  We may see a stray shower or thunderstorm this morning (20% chance) as these clouds drift on out probably by noon.  Once we get to mid-day, the sun will be breaking on through and beginning the heat up as temps reach the low-mid 80s as humidity drops (73%).  Breezes will be out of the E-NE at 10-15mph.  Tonight... clear to partly clear as temps drop to the low-70s with S-SE breezes at 5-10mph.  It'll be a great night to enjoy that Full Moon as the fireworks have been cancelled.  Tomorrow... clear and sunny with a few passing clouds.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 80s with S-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  There's also a 20% chance of a passing shower and/or thunderstorm.  It's the Full Moon (at 12:45AM officially early tomorrow) and we should have no problem enjoying this big ol' moon tonight as the clouds won't interfere.  Known as the "Buck Moon" for this time of year a buck's antlers are in full growth mode during July's moon.  It's also known at the Thunder Moon because of the thunderstorms so frequent this time of year.

Hot Fun In The Summertime

Mornin'!  It's 78° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 74% with a Dewpoint of 70°.  There's just about no breeze to note... N-NW at 3-6mph.  It's hazy, warm and humid at this early hour and I can only imagine what a scorcher this day is going to be.  Expect the heat being on with plentiful sunshine (some clouds in the mix) and a high of 90° with West (hot) winds at 5-10mph.  It'll feel like 95°.  There's a 20% chance of a stray shower and/or thunderstorm.  Tonight... a few clouds along with an almost full moon (Sunday's the Full Moon) with temps in the low-mid 70s and Northerly breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... much cooler with some cloud cover and a high of 80°, along with more refreshing E-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday will be sunnier and less breezy.  Be aware of a few things today in this heat... carry with you water, a hat, footwear, sunscreen along with your Mask. Remember that Ms Sun's her strongest between 10-4.  Oh, and those West winds are in the mix today so you might want to keep insect repellent close at hand for the biting green head flies.

Pleasant Thursday

Mornin'!  It's 71° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and beginning to shine and break through leftover fog and cloud cover.  Breezes are light out of the N-NW at 3-5mph.  It's quiet, still, fragrant with that ol' marshy, wetland aromas and all is well with the world.  Well, I wish it was.  God knows when that will be.
As for weather... it'll be a pleasant summer's day.  Expect plentiful sunshine with temps in the low-mid 80s (wouldn't be surprised if it hits the 90s as it has been when the forecasts say low-mid 80s as of late).  Winds will be out of the S-SW at 5-10mph.  Tonight... clear, moonlit skies with temps in the low-mid 70s and SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... mix of clouds and sun with a 20% chance of a shower and/or thunderstorm possible.  It'll be a warmer day for sure as temps will be tapping 90° tomorrow.  The weekend... Saturday and Sunday are looking a bit more comfortable in the temperature department... upper 70s / low 80s as Saturday appears to be a bit cloudier than Sunday.  It's a Full Moon this weekend (Sunday) and we're already seeing the tides swelling a bit more than usual.  Be aware of the tides especially if we have a pop-up torrential rain shower.  The island (along with all the other coastal towns) is known to have areas of tidal flooding during full-moon times.  Always be aware of the tides times and your surroundings especially those areas prone to street flooding.  And, never drive through tide waters... corrosive, salt water will saturate the undercarriage of your vehicle and that's not a good thing.  Remember to pack sunscreen, footwear and headwear today!

Welcome July!

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up.  Breezes are light out of the East at 2-4mph.  Humidity's 88% with a Dewpoint of 69°.  It feels warm and humid and lovely.  Welcome July!!!  We're into Summer now as somehow I always think of July as being in the thick of Summer (not just my birthday month).  We're actually only 10 days into summer with 84 days until Autumn!  Strap in... the heat is on as we have a couple hot months ahead.  Even the ocean's beginning to heat up... now 72° (which is lovely for a refreshing dip).
For today... expect an unsettled morning as all forecasts are pointing to a 60% chance of storms rolling through today; particularly before noon.  There are storms over Delaware heading toward their coast as I type.  I'm sure we'll feel the effects of it sometime this morning as these storm cells cross over the Delaware Bay skimming at least Cape May's coast. It all remains to be seen.  For now... sunny, clear skies in Wildwood. Today's temps will be in the low-mid 80° range with SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... low around 70° with partly cloudy skies and winds light and variable.  There is a 20% chance of a passing shower and/or thunderstorm tonight.  Tomorrow looks nice... mostly sunny, low 80s, light winds.  The weekend... Saturday looks cloudier and much breezier than Sunday.
