Blair's On Her Way

Mornin'!  It's 25° in Wildwood NJ.  Due to those relentless W-NW winds, it feels like 13°.  I stepped out on the back porch briefly to check the thermostat and it's feeling a bit on the brutal side.  The shovels are on the porch right next to the door, groceries are in and the soup (Black bean and ham) is made. We're set for a major Winter Storm named Blair (apparently that's what the Weather Channel's naming it).  The last big snowstorm here in Wildwood was January 2022.  And, it was a treacherous one.  We got over a foot of snow   We do get snow in the winter from time to time but large accumulations are uncommon because winters are usually milder near the ocean (currently 44°). Plus that salt and brine the ocean provides somehow keeps these snow storms at bay (no pun intended).  With all that said, here's the current state of affairs...
A significant winter storm heading our way from the Southern Plains which should be checking in by this evening.  It's a clear and sunny morning... expect a mostly sunny Sunday, temps in the mid-30s and still very breezy with W-NW winds at 20-30mph +gusting.  Tonight... clouds roll in with snow developing after midnight.  Temps will be where they are now... mid-20s with bit calmer W-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Snow accumulation... 1"-3".  Tomorrow... snow in the morning transitioning to snow showers by the afternoon.  Temps will be in the low-30s with NE winds at 10-20mph.  Chance of snow... 100%.  We could get 3"-5" tomorrow.  Monday night... light snow, temps in the mid-20s with N-NW winds at 10-15mph.  We could see an 8" accumulation by the time Blair checks out. Tuesday... sunny but very windy NW winds at 25-35mph+gusting and temps in the mid-30s feeling like the teens.  Strap in and be safe!
High Tide: 11:17AM
Low Tide: 5:44PM
Ocean Temp: 44°
Sunrise: 7:18AM
Sunset: 7:51PM

I am on vacation from myself due to this weather. So long as the electric doesn't go out, I am good. No bay freezing over yet. Watching the weather in Missouri as closely as here. They are like 2 days ahead of us
Enjoy your soup.
Good choice!

Everyday's a Saturday here! Bay's still not frozen here yet either. Funny... I'm watching Missouri too! Winds are coming tomorrow. Stay safe and warm. Soup is delicious thanks to that Christmas ham bone.
