RECENT LACK OF PRECIPITATION...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...AND DRY FUELS. ...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM EDT TUESDAY...* TEMPERATURES...DROPPING INTO THE MID TO UPPER 20S. EVEN LOCATIONS ALONG THE COASTAL STRIPS OF NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE... AND IN THE HIGHLY URBANIZED METRO AREAS... MAY SEE TEMPERATURES DROP TO AROUND 30 DEGREES.* IMPACTS...DUE TO AN UNUSUALLY WARM WINTER AND EARLY SPRING...THE GROWING SEASON HAS BEGUN AROUND THE REGION. ANY VEGETATIONSUSCEPTIBLE TO FREEZING TEMPERATURES OVER A PERIOD OF THREE OR MORE HOURS WOULD BE AT RISK. (That was all cut and pasted by the way).
The forecast for Wildwood today is much improved from the overnight as the sun's due up in about an hour and will stick around as temps rise just about hitting the 50° mark. (It's currently 32° and my seedlings were all covered overnight). Winds will begin to diminish and go back to normal (NW @ 10-20mph).
