Bye-Bye July and Welcome August!

A derecho above Ottens Harbor in Wildwood
Mornin'!  It's 74° this lovely first day of August. We're in the dog days of summer now as we head into another sultry hot spell beginning in a day or two.  Today...not so sultry as the temps will be in the low-mid 80's.  It'll be mostly hazy and humid with typical summer temperatures.  The sun just rose, but is a bit obscured by clouds.  There's a 30% chance of thunderstorms and/or showers today.  Outdoor activities may have to be planned around the clouds today. The Moon is looking just about Full as that's on tap for tomorrow.  Breezes will be out of the South today at 10mph.  Two things: keep one eye on the sky for those storms/showers and the other eye on the flooded streets.  (Do your best Marty Feldman).  That water you see seeping into the streets along the curbs and sidewalks is tide/salt water and damaging to the underside of your vehicle. My advice...don't drive through it if you can help it.  See you at WalMart!
High tide: 8:00a.m.
Low tide:2:00p.m.
Ocean temp:78°
Sunset:8:11p.m.
Moonrise:7:39p.m.
