See ya July!

Mornin'!  It's 68° in sunny Wildwood this last day of July.  Ms Sun's up as the sky is clear.  Breezes are not here yet.  The birds are happy and once again making their presence known.  It'll be another one of those beauties today.  The last of them for awhile I'm sorry to report.  It'll be pleasant with sunny, clear skies today.  Temps will be tapping 80° as the breezes commence first from the SW at 9-12mph and shifting later (you know the drill) out of the South at 10-20mph.  Tonight...partly cloudy with temps around 70°.  Well, the weekend's still looking icky beginning tomorrow night.  There's plenty of rain in the Shore forecast for both Saturday and most of Sunday.  Just saying.  August is checking in with a bit of crapola weather it seems.  Movie?  Arcade?  Wildwood Museum?  Book Store?  Walmart?  Closet straightening?  Pedi?  Bar tan? .......?  You fill in the blanks!

An Encore of Yesterday

High atop the Ferris Wheel
Mornin'!  It's 63° (no typo) in Wildwood.  It's lovely.  Windows have been opened the last couple days.  The sea air is wifting (I mean wafting) through my house.  Guests are still sleeping.  Hubby and I are in gear and gettin' it done for getting to work on time.  The birds (including seagulls) are chirping happily everywhere (I'm proud to have a habitat for the island birds with some trees on my property...one of which I planted and is now just about as tall as the house).   It'll be a encore of yesterday's weather.  Our local guy mentioned that it'll be just a tad warmer than yesterday.  It's certainly cool for a mid-summer morning.  Today's temps will be in the mid-upper 70s.  Ms Sun will be shining all day. Northwest winds will be breezing by most of the day then shifting later from the South all at 5-10mph.  Tonight...clear and cool back into the mid-60s.  Tomorrow...what else...an encore of today...loveliness.  Upcoming weekend...eh sorry to report...looking even worse than it did yesterday with a higher chance of rain both days.  I'll continue to keep a close watch on that one.

A Beauty (for my birthday)!

Mornin'!  It's 66° in Wildwood this early morn.  Ms Sun's due up next.  It's clear with a very light sea breeze wifting (I mean wafting) over the island.  We'll have abundant sunshine today with breezes out of the NW at 7-9mph.  Temps will hover around the mid-upper 70s.  Tonight...breezes out of the SW at 7-9mph as temps drop back down into the mid-60s.  Just heavenly weather for my birthday!  Oh...this beautiful weather will repeat tomorrow and Thursday.  The weekend..."eh" as I'm seeing rain in part of the forecasts I've checked.

Looking Good Out There!

Mornin'!  What a nice weekend.  We had some family visiting and enjoyed some quality time together down the shore.  It's 74° under sunny skies.  Ms Sun's up and shining brightly as the ocean fragrance and humidity are in the mix this morning.  I just took a little drive with the pooch to run a little errand and check things out and the island's still swollen with check-ins and seagulls.  For some reason the seagulls are everywhere.  One reason could be because it's trash day as they're vultures and will peck at any trash bag they see as they are incredibly trash bag savvy.  We have a rule here...no visible trash bags...all trash and trash bags must be in closed containers. On a better note, it looks like a nice week for all the vacationers as there's no rain in this week's forecast.  You picked a good one.  Today will be sunny and warm with temps in the low-80s with some humidity sticking around.  Breezes are none at the moment but will wift (I mean waft) over us a bit later from the W-SW at 15-25mph and settle down and shift later from the NW at 8-11mph.  Temps will drop back down into the high 60s tonight.  Enjoy these last couple July days as they're looking mighty fine!  Oh...don't forget the sunblock and bug spray (could see some green head flies with that wind direction today as any West winds bring those biting flies with them...you've been warned).

Last July Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 74° under cloudy skies in Wildwood.  We had a nice hard rain shower this early morning as it stopped about a half hour ago.  The gardens are watered!  It's gray and still with more rain due.  It'll be mostly cloudy (chance of a peek or two of sun) today
but it seems like the forecasters are calling for a mostly cloudy/rainy day (40% chance).  Temps will tap the 80° mark as breezes will be out the S-SW again at 15-21mph.  Tonight...80% chance of rain showers and/or thunderstorms as the thermometer drops back to the mid-70s.  Tomorrow looks like a keeper.

Last Weekend in July!

Sunken Ship at Sunset Bay in Cape May
Mornin'!  It's 73° in hazy Wildwood.  Ms Sun's up but there's high, thin clouds at the moment as it appears cloudy while they battle it out.  The forecasts (lots of variables) I've researched are reporting partly sunny/partly cloudy conditions today and also rain (40% chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon) as there's a high pressure system heading right for the coast.  Temps will be in the upper 70s as breezes wift (I mean waft) in from the S-SW at 9-11mph.  Tonight...clearer but still cloudy with a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm after midnight.  Temps will head down into the low 70s with breezes kicked up a notch.  Tomorrow...pretty much the same as today with more cloudier conditions and a higher chance of rain towards evening.

A Perfect Summer Day!

Mornin'!  It's 65° in sunny downtown Wildwood.  Ms Sun's rising and shining over the horizon as the breezes haven't checked in yet.  The humidity's checked out though and it's pleasant and comfortable outside.  It'll be mostly sunny, comfortable and pleasant all day.  Temps will be just tapping 80° today as N-NW breezes will gradually shift SW all at 5-10mph. Tonight...clear and down to the mid-60s again.   Tomorrow...much of the same as today.  Not so much for Sunday though.  I'm calling a "beach day" for today!

Gray and Icky (local weatherman's words; not mine)

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood.  We've got some heavy cloud cover checked in this early morn.  Ms Sun's trying so hard to break through them but there's just a tiny peek coming through. We had some major thunder and lightning with showers happening on the overnight.  The house was in the "strobe light" mode.  Thankfully...no need to water the gardens today!  It won't be as hot and humid but once again there's a 40% chance of thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening hours.  We'll probably see a peek of sun here and there too.  Temps will be in the low 80s today as breezes will be out of the NW at 9-11mph.  Tonight...cloudy and back in the upper 60s.  Tomorrow...more comfortable as this so-called "cold front" will help take away the humidity and cloud cover while Ms Sun has an appointment to check in for Friday and Saturday.  The weekend's still looking 50-50...Saturday being the better of the two days.

Hazy, Hot and Humid Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 72° in Wildwood.  We're in the midst of some cloud cover and Ms Sun's up but nowhere to be seen yet.  It's a tad muggy with some sea fragrance in the midst of the morning stillness and humidity.  Everyone's reporting hazy, hot and humid today with mostly sunny skies as those hazy clouds do stick (no pun intended) around most of the day.  Temps will get into the mid-80s with breezes out of the  S-SW at 6-9mph.  Later this afternoon those breezes will ramp up still out of the S-SW but 12-17mph with gusting.  There's a risk of a late day thunderstorm due to the build up of heat and humidity.  Tonight...some clouds remaining in the mix and temps down in the low-70s.  Tomorrow there seems to be an increased chance of rain showers/thunderstorms all day long.  The weekend has another forecast shift as Saturday now looks like a keeper and Sunday...eh...50/50.  Hey...I'm not complaining as one single beach day is plenty to fill the soul.  Gotta take the ups with the downs right?

Heat and Humidity begin their climb up

Mornin'!  It's 65° in Wildwood.  Ms Sun's about to shine a little love (in the words of ELO) down on us.  It's a lovely morning as the sky begins to brighten and the aromas of fish and skunk fill the stillness outside.  Our doggie was very alert and keen to the fragrances outside this early morn...talk about "sniff".  It'll be nice today. Ms Sun steals the show this morning and this afternoon the clouds join in the fun.  It'll be mostly sunny/partly cloudy today with temps tapping 80°.  The heat and humidity will be climbing so it'll feel warmer than it has been.  Breezes will be out of the SE today at 9-14 and shift early tonight from the SW at 5-10mph.  Tonight will bring low-70 temps.  Tomorrow...a repeat with rain due in tomorrow night and staying checked in until Friday morning.  Unfortunately, the weekend's not looking too promising at this writing. I am jonesin' for a beach day big time too.  Oh well, things could change.

Improvement from the weekend

Mornin'!  It's 65° in Wildwood.  The sky is mostly clear.  Along the coast at the horizon, there's a line of clouds and haze as catching that morning sunrise remains to be seen.  Ms Sun is due to shine but her grand entrance will be obscured a bit.  It'll be mostly sunny today with clouds in the mix as well.  Temps will be in the lo-mid 70s.  Breezes are out of the E at 8-10mph will shift a bit from the SE at 5mph later into the evening.  Temps will drop back into the upper 60s.  Tomorrow...pretty much a repeat of today.  Wednesday and Thursday though...looking wet.  Prepare accordingly with a vacationer's backup plan...arcades, movies, Walmart...you know the drill.

Clouds Checking Out

Mornin'!  It's 69° in Wildwood.  The rain has stopped (it was raining at a pretty good clip about an hour ago).  All forecasts (except one) say clearing as the clouds are suppose to check out by check-out time.  We should see peeks of sun early this afternoon.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 70s with breezes out of the NE at 10-20mph.  Tonight...partly cloudy with temps in the mid-upper 60s.  If this is your vacation week...50-50 as the beginning of the weeks looks 5-star and as we near the end of the week...1-star.  Just saying.

Beautiful Weekend Weather Streak (9 consecutive weekends) Ends this Weekend

Mornin'!  It's 68° in cloudy, gray Wildwood.  Ms Sun's truly trying to show herself and some of that cloud cover has a tiny bit of her color, but it's a day for the clouds.  Every forecast says "cloudy" weekend.  One or two mentioned "peeks of sun" but I'm gone with a cloudy one.  Time to resort to plan II if a beach day was in your schedule.  You know cloudy beach days can be good...no sunburn!  I'd take the beach umbrella though.  There's is a 20% chance of a sprinkle or shower.  Breezes are out of the E-NE at 10-12mph.  Temps will be in the low-mid 70s.  Tonight...cloudy with temps back into the 60s. Tomorrow...clouds will still be checked in with 10% chance of a spritz yet a better chance of seeing some sunshine.

Lovely Friday

Mornin'!  It's 65° this sunny morn in Wildwood.  It's a lovely morning as there are birds chirping everywhere around us.  I slept through the night with windows wide open and the birds were my alarm clock today.  There are light breezes and the cooler temps giving a tiny taste of autumn.  It'll be mostly sunny (some clouds are checking in) with breezes out of the NE-E at 5-10mph as temps climb up into the mid-upper 70s.  Tonight...more clouds rolling in as temps drop back into the 60s.  The weekend...Saturday has considerable cloudiness (10% chance of showers) and Sunday...mix of sun and clouds (not as gray as Saturday).

Downright Beautiful

Mornin'!  It's 66° under clear, sunny skies.  Wildwood's lovely... quiet, still, cool, comfortable and fragrant with the aroma of the sea in the morning air.  Perfection and downright beautiful ("downright beautiful" is the local weather man's words) today.  It'll be a very nice today and tomorrow.  Temps will be in the upper 70s with sun shining down and breezes out of the NW at 8-10mph.  Tonight...clear and back into the 60s.  The weekend's taking a turn though...Saturday's looking mostly cloudy/overcast and Sunday...the same with a tad more sun shining than cloud cover.

Not quite in the clear

Mornin'!  It's 69° in Wildwood.  It's quiet and still as the breezes are gone and the only sound outside is the ocean roaring due to the thick cloud cover (and that's six blocks away from the beach).  No need to water the gardens as everything's soaking wet from last night's heavy duty thunderstorms.  It's thick and humid this early morn.  We're not quite in the clear as any leftover morning rain (there's a chance of a rumble of thunder and/or a morning shower or two...70% chance) will
give way to drier and clearer conditions today  through the evening. Temps will be in the mid-upper 70s on the coast with a west-northwest wind at 5 to 15mph as tonight will bring clearer skies and cooler temps (upper 60s).  Tomorrow...Ms Sun returns and will be shining down through some intermediate cloud cover.  In fact...the weekend looks like an exact replica of tomorrow.  Keep that in mind if packing for a Wildwood weekend get-a-way.

Cold Front's Checking In

Mornin'!  It's 69° in Wildwood.  It's breezy and cloudy as Ms Sun's trying to brighten the new day.  I'm not sure how much shining she'll do as the cloud cover's once again pretty thick but it sure looks picturesque with all the pastel colors painted in the dark, gray sky.  Stiff breezes are out of the S-SW at 15-25mph...bringing a "cold front" today keeping the weather conditions unsettled.  There's a 30% chance of rain and/or thunderstorms later today and 80% tonight.  It'll be partly to mostly cloudy (some peeks of sun) with widely scattered showers or thunderstorms possible right through until tomorrow.  There's even a chance of flash flooding in some coastal areas  ( Keep an eye on the doppler... http://m.weatherbug.com/NJ/Wildwood-weather/local-radar/doppler-radar?cid=14 ). Temps in the low 80s today and will drop back into the low 70s tonight. Thursday's looking like the next sunny day.
Footnote: It's almost 9a.m. and Ms Sun's been shining brightly for a couple hours as all cloud cover is outta here.  I'm still sticking to unsettled weather up ahead for today but for now...it's a lovely morning at the shore!

Rain Rain go away

Mornin'!  It's 70° in cloudy, breezy Wildwood.  Feels humid and smells like some rain is-a-coming!  There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms (40% chance) today...mainly around mid-day but by the looks of the sky...not sure if we'll make it until then.  It'll be mostly cloudy with a Southerly breeze (15-20mph).  There's always a chance of peeks of sun since the doppler has some clearing on it but this cloud cover's looking pretty intense.  Temps will be up in the high 70s probably tapping 80°.  Tonight...overcast and cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely as temps drop back into the low 70s as well as Southerly winds remain hanging out.  Chance of precip tonight...60%.  It's looking kind of crappy this upcoming week at least until Thursday.  There's rain in the the forecast everyday for the next 3 days.  One just never knows if the week you reserve for your vacation is going to be five star weather week or not. I went through that too before moving here as Wildwood was my vacation spot of choice.  There's always the boardwalk arcades, the movie theater offshore and of course WalMart for something to do.  I'm still grateful for the wonderful weather we had this past weekend enjoyed by our family and our baby grandson (his very first beach days)...such a nice time...life is good!

Sunday Mix

Gardens at Hereford Lighthouse
Full Moon from the Hereford Lighthouse
Mornin'!  It's 77° this late morning.  A bit late on the blog this lovely Sunday.  Slept in a bit and just enjoyed hubby's delicious Sunday morning breakfast.  Also enjoyed the company of my daughter, son-in-law and precious grandson.   I swear hubby should open up a morning café as it's soooo delicious as we all enjoyed a lovely morning meal (especially his home fries) together.  The forecast will be a mixed one today as the clouds are hanging out as well as some stiff breezes heading this way.  It'll be partly to mostly cloudy (peeks of sun) with gentle breezes to start out as by mid-day they'll turn from the S (15-20mph) to the SW at 20-30mph w/gusting.  Temps will tap 80°.  20% chance showers.  And tonight... temps head back to low 70s with 40% chance of showers.

Pick of the Week

Mornin'!  It's 69° in Wildwood.  The sun's up and the breezes are yet to be had.  It's quiet and still.  The local weatherman is calling today "The Pick of the Week" so I'm gone with that.  It'll be sunny with breezes out of the E-NE at 5-8mph.  The humidity's out of here as temps tap 80°.  The moon is full and the tides are high.  Tomorrow...a little more cloudier with a 20% chance of rain tomorrow night.  Not tonight though...a clear, lovely evening with a bright wolf moon shining down as temps drop back into the mid-upper 60s.  The smoke is still rising on the wonderful, delicious BBQ-Blues Fest in Anglesea.

Smoke is filling the island air beginning this evening

Mornin'!  It's 69° in cloudy, somewhat foggy Wildwood.  Appears as if the last night's rains are out of here however a couple forecasts report that an isolated showers and/or thunderstorm is possible this morning.  It appears to be the finalé to a couple of unsettled days.  Once it's passed, then we're on to the sky clearing with partly sunny/partly cloudy conditions as temps head into the mid-upper 70s as well as heading into the 9th straight beautiful weekend.  Perfection for the best Fest on the eastern seaboard..."BBQ-Blues Fest" begins this afternoon!  Just look for the smoke in Anglesea (North Wildwood)!  Breezes (nothing at the moment) are coming a little later out of the E-NE at 8-10mph.  Tonight...a few passing clouds with the almost Full Moon glowing (tomorrow's the Full Moon) as temps drop back into the mid-upper 60s.  Speaking of tomorrow..."pick of the week".  Just saying.

Repeat

Mornin'!  It's 71° in gray, cloudy Wildwood.  No breezes...just quiet and still.  There were a few gulls wishing me a "good morning" from above while standing on the back porch but that's about it.  Even the neighbors are quiet...in fact they're gone.  All surrounding neighbors have left for now and we're back to total emptiness and quietness at the homestead.  Weird how that happens...people everywhere around us, then nothing...dark, empty houses.   Been here living in Wildwood for ten years now and the pattern is the same each summer.  The summer season begins when the schools close as Wildwood begins to see more and more visitors each passing day.  Then, the last 2 weeks of July and first 2 weeks of August...20,000 inhabitants turns to 250,000 on a daily basis.  We're strapping in as it's on our front door step.  I'm just stating a fact...not really complaining...but it is 4 weeks out of the year that sharing the shore gets very intense.  It's all good.  Oh...today's weather...it'll be pretty much a repeat of yesterday...but more of a gray day.  In fact, every forecast reports scattered showers and thunderstorms lingering from the overnight (60% chance), but the day should end up being drier and gradually less humid with possible peeks of sun. High near 80 degrees along the coast. Southeast winds at 10mph.  Full moon is in a couple days so remember the high tides will be higher than usual. Weekend's still looking pretty fine!

Humid Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood.  It's very still with not a leaf moving on any of my trees.  They did get a nice pruning though over the last couple days...twigs and leaves all over the backyard.  Not to mention some raging thunderstorms paid a visit on the overnight which allows me free time this morning from pulling out the hose and watering the garden. It's humid with heavy cloud cover.  I doubt if we'll see Ms Sun winning this morning's sunrise battle.  It's supposed to be mostly cloudy today with peeks of sun as temps climb into the mid-80s with some thick humidity sticking (no pun intended) around.  Breezes will commence this afternoon out of the S-SW at 15-20mph.  Back to thunderstorms beginning early evening (80% chance).  It looks like the island's going to stay in this weather pattern for a couple more days at least until Friday morning when the less humid/mostly sunny weather returns.  Thank goodness...it's the BBQ-Blues Festival (my favorite of all the Fests) this weekend and nice weather makes for some major fun in the sun.  Not to mention...our grand baby will be checking in Friday for the weekend!  Life is good...really good when the weather cooperates!

Hazy Hot and Humid

Mornin'!  It's 72° in Wildwood.  The gulls are wide awake this morning...at least in my neighborhood they are.  So are my next door neighbors as I don't think they've been to bed yet.  It's breezy.  In fact the breeze is almost as loud as the neighbors as some guy was shouting loudly out of one of the windows "Hey look it's daylight!"  Winds are out of the S-SW at 15-25mph at the moment with Ms Sun crossing the horizon as I type.  It'll be partly to mostly sunny today as temps climb up into the mid-upper 80s at the shore.  Hazy, hot and humid is what the forecasters are reporting.   Breezes will stick around all day and even ramp up a bit later this afternoon gusting at 30+mph.  Tonight...some more cloud cover as temps settle back into the upper 70s.  One forecast said a slight chance of a thunderstorm this evening. The moon is now 80% full as a Full Moon is this weekend.

Monday Mix

Mornin'!  It's 70° in Wildwood.  Not so sunny this early morn as there's plenty of cloud cover and it's doing its best to block out Ms Sun.  I love this competition as it always proves to be picturesque.  There are clouds currently being painted every pastel color off the color wheel as I type.  Wildwood will have a mix of clouds and sun today.  We're having those light breezes out of the S-SW as they continue to ramp up throughout the day at 16-22mph w/gusting.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 80s.  Tonight...clear and back into the low-mid 70s.  Full moon is this week...Saturday to be exact.

A Most Pleasant First Sunday in July

Mornin'!  It's 69° in sunny Wildwood.  It's a perfectly lovely Sunday morning as the breezes are barely there with the sun shining down brightly and last night's 2½ hour gridlock traffic jam from the fireworks gone!  We're in the midst of a beautiful weekend as it'll be another pleasant day with a nice beach day down the shore. It'll be mostly sunny (some clouds in the mix) with temps climbing back up into the low 80s and breezes wifting (I mean wafting) in from the SW at 15-20mph.  Basically a repeat of yesterday, but a tad cloudier and breezier.  A bit of a heat wave ramps up starting tomorrow for a couple days so enjoy today's loveliness.

Perfectly lovely July 4th Weekend

Mornin'!  It's 68° this breezy, sunny, beautiful morn in Wildwood.  The humidity's outta here and the breeze is just lovely.  That is if you're lucky enough to have windows wide open enjoying that ol' seabreeze.  Unfortunately...not for this house.  We've opted to keep the air conditioner on to block out the firecrackers, fireworks, revelers and much to my frustration...that lovely seabreeze.  The island's intensely inhabited and we've chose to shut ourselves in and enjoy the serenity and quietness of a peacefully, quiet home.  It'll be a lovely weekend as Ms Sun's checked in for the entire weekend along with less humidity.  Today, breezes be wifting (I mean wafting) in from the N-NW at 10-15mph.  Temps will head into the upper 70s and possibly tapping 80°.  Tonight...clear and back down into the mid 60s with W-SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow...much like today except for a tad more cloud cover.  All in all...a lovely holiday weekend.  Fireworks tonight...10p.m.

Happy Independence Day!

Mornin'!  Happy Birthday America!  It's 74° in rainy, windy Wildwood.  There's going to be showers, thundershowers and windy conditions throughout the morning, then mainly cloudy and windy this afternoon with periods of light rain.  Rainfall amounts may reach one inch.  By early evening...Ms Sun will be checking in and showing peeks of herself!  Temps in the upper 70s. Winds N-NW at 25 to 35 mph.  The weekend...looking marvelous...sunny, dry and tapping 80°!  It looks like most of the island towns are sticking to their holiday activity schedules for the 4th celebration.  The Pooch Parade in North Wildwood looks like a wet one!  The Wildwood fireworks have been postponed until tomorrow evening on the beach.  Dig out those umbrellas for today and I'm not talking "beach" umbrellas.

Mixed Bag

Mornin'!  It's  72° with hardly a breeze under some cloud cover this pre-4th of July.  Ms Sun's trying to shine but cloud cover's holding her back.  Cold front #2 moves through the region today.  It'll remain partly to mostly cloudy (peeks of that hazy sun) with a better chance for some widespread showers and thunderstorms today than yesterday. Highs in the upper 80s along the coast. Southwest winds at 13-19mph.  Tonight...scattered thunderstorms early, then mainly cloudy with a thunderstorm or two likely overnight and low of 73°. South winds at 15 to 25 mph will be decreasing to 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.  For the 4th...showers likely to kick off the holiday along with a possible rumble of thunder in the morning (chance of rain 90%). Cloudy skies are due up late all with some stiff winds as well as very strong Rip Currents...you've been warned as they have been taking lives already this season along the coast so pay close attention to the lifeguards and beach postings.  Saturday and Sunday...Ms Sun's back for some fun in the Sun!

Mix of Clouds and Sun

Mornin'!  It's 73°.  It's a bit cloudy but Ms Sun's-a-coming! The first of two cold fronts passes through the region today. We'll call it partly cloudy (hazy) with the chance for some afternoon scattered thunderstorms.  Temps are in the mid 80s on the coast. Southerly winds are due up later at 15-19mph are bringing that cold front later.  The breezes are currently 10-15mph out of the SW.  20% chance of a thunderstorm both today and tonight.  Speaking of tonight...cloudy and back into the mid-70s.  Tomorrow...that 2nd cold front approaches and will move through tomorrow evening-overnight into Friday morning (Friday's looking crappy). This will also likely bring heavy rain and thunderstorms. Until that second cold front clears the coast, remnant showers could interact with the NW outer bands of Arthur (offshore hurricane)and keep it wet Friday morning. We should clear up by the weekend even as early as Friday afternoon!  Weekend's looking pretty darn good.

July's back!

Mornin'!  It's 72° on this first day in July!  There's some major cloud cover right along the coast with Ms Sun obscured during her sunrise presentation.  She'll be in the mix though as all forecasts have reported a mix of sun and clouds today.  No rain in today's forecast.  Temps will reach the low-80s as breezes (currently out of the SW at 5-10mph) will ramp up a bit from the South a little later at 15-20mph w/gusting.  Not sure how great a beach day is today with those breezes and clouds but it'll certainly help with comfort as the humidity increases.  Speaking of "increases", the cloud cover will continue to increase into the evening as there's a very slight chance (10%) that we could see an isolated shower and/or thunderstorm.  Temps will head back down into the low-70s tonight.  Oh and just an fyi...beginning tomorrow night and continuing up through Friday (4th of July)... the coast could be potentially in the path of some stormy weather.  Looking like some wet American Flags on Friday.
