Au Revoir March! Damp Saturday in the Woods

Mornin'! It's 46° this cloudy, gray, dry morning. It'll be mostly cloudy and more dry than wet this start to the weekend and end of the month. See ya later March as it rolls out "not" like lamb. Scattered showers are forecasted today and more so in the a.m. Temps will reach the lo-mid 50's and winds will wift (I mean waft) over the island out of the S-SE and shift later from the N-NW at 10-20mph.

Sunny and Chilly

Mornin'! It's a chilly 39° this early morn. The sky has begun to lighten and get that pale hue as the sun is-a-coming and in less than an hour. Temps will just about tap the 50's today as it will feel a tad chilly even with the sun pouring down. The current NW winds are going to do a 180° and shift from SE right off the sea by this afternoon all at 10-15mph. Clouds will increase by this evening and bring with it rain showers and drizzles overnight. Tomorrow's looking like showers through most of the day as well although Sunday looks brighter.

It's those March Winds again!

Mornin'! It's 54° in Wildwood. Skies are clear and the sun's going to rise in less than an hour. It'll be dry, seasonably mild and sunny today with temps staying around the mid-upper 50's and may even reach 60°. It's the winds that will make today blustery coming from the NW at 15-25mph with gusts of 35+mph. Small Craft Advisories are posted. Bottom line...bad hair day.
I'd keep the boat at the dock and wear lots of hairspray.

Sunny Start; Stormy End

Mornin'! It's 46° this dark, clear early morn. Skies are clear and starlit as the sun's due up in a couple hours and no doubt will be lovely. The clouds will win over the clear, sunny day as they're due to roll in later and bring along afternoon showers. Could possibly get a thunderstorm by this evening. Temps are looking more mild than those recent chilly temps as they'll tap the 60° mark today. It'll be breezy this humpday as winds will be out of the SW at 15-20mph with some gusting.

North By Northwest Gales

Mornin'! It's 48° this mostly clear, starlit early morn. Some lingering clouds are in the darkness but sun's due up in less than an hour and should be a picturesque sunrise! It's calm and fairly mild now, but the Gales are heading in this direction from the N-NW at 20-25mph gusting up to 36mph. Temps will reach the low-50's and feel colder with the winds. Tonight will feel colder yet as temperatures may go dip into the 30's. Cover those seedlings!

Far from a washout

Mornin'! It's 52° is Wildwood. Skies are gray (or eggshell white) and it's a bit breezy and damp. No rain at the moment. It'll be mostly cloudy and gray and slightly breezy (E-NE 5-10mph). It'll be far from a washout like first expected although we may see drizzles and/or light showers later today. Temps will stay in the upper 50's.

The Fog's Back!

Mornin'! The Fog checked in again last night. I'm loving it! Wildwood's socked in as the island's been getting hit repeatedly with the stratus more often than not! It's 53° this morning. The ocean's 53°. There's a very light breeze as everything outside is dripping wet. It'll be like this all day as the fog will be giving way to light showers that will develop this afternoon. Temps may hit the 60° mark, but it'll feel damp and a bit dreary today. Breezes will begin from the East and shift from the E-SE later all at 15-20mph. Hubby's making homemade New England Clam Chowder as it was the Lobster House's sale on Little Necks. You know what I'm talking about!

No Fog!!!

Mornin'! It's 53° this morning. The ocean's 53° too. I'm disappointed...there's no fog this morning. It's nice outside though. You can hear gulls and birds chirping as well as the sound of the surf. The intense aroma of back bay is in the air. Some patchy fog could seep over the island this morning, but if it does, it'll burn off quickly and be a mostly sunny day with temps tapping on the 70° mark. Can't believe I'm typing that number in March. Wonder what Memorial Day will be like? I've known some Memorial Weekends to be downright cold; winter jacket cold. I'm getting ahead of myself. Today will be the last clear, sunny day for awhile. Winds will be out of the West to start with and finish up out of the East all at 5-10mph. Tonight after midnite, there's a 30% chance of showers. Tomorrow's looking cloudy with 80% chance of showers after 2p.m. continuing through until Sunday-70% chance.

Fog, Fog and More Fog

Mornin'! It's 55 very dense foggy degrees. The fog will stick around most of the morning before the sun gets its rays on it and does the burn off later. Who knows when as some days this week it was late morning and other days not until late afternoon. I'm hearing "flight delays" at the AC Airport this morning so I'd do some checking if you have a flight in or out. Temps will get into the low-mid 60's today and feel mild today. Breezes will begin this morning from the South, then shift from the SE and by later today shift once more from the SW all around 10-12mph. Weekend's starting out ok but rains are still headed in our direction by late Saturday into Sunday. High tide:8:12a.m.; Low tide:2:20p.m.; Ocean Temp: 53°; Sunset:7:15p.m.

Soup's Up Again!

Mornin'! It's 54° with some dense fog this early morn. I think Wildwood's middle name should be "London" as of late. We've been getting a true taste of foggy weather this year and it's fine with me. I really enjoy it. The intensity of this soup will gradually diminish as the sun burns off the stratus surrounding us this morning. With that said, it'll be mostly sunny today with temps reaching the 60+ mark as a light SE breeze wifts (I mean wafts) over the island. A really nice day overall. Nothing like the weekend's looking...a possible "washout" that I'm closely watching.

First Day Of Spring!

Mornin'! It's 55° in Wildwood this early morn. Temperature will just about tap the 60° mark today. Breezes will be light at out of the E-NE at 8-10mph. Even though the sky is clear and starlit at the moment, it'll begin sunny and turn mostly cloudy as Fog is due to check in later today. A light shower (20% chance) is expected sometime this afternoon. One forecast says partly sunny so this first day of Spring remains to be seen. Last day of Winter!

Mornin'! The temperature outside as well as the ocean is 50°. The sky is clear and starlit. I can hear the sounds of the surf six blocks away as the early birds are chirping away. The sun is due up in an hour. It will stick around somewhat but today is being forecasted as partly sunny/partly cloudy. Your pick. Temps will head into the high 50's and we may see 60° on the thermometer. Winds will begin from theS-SW and shift to the S-SE at 5-8mph. Looking rather nice as we celebrate last day of Winter with the official start of Spring tomorrow!

Gray with some photos of yesterday

Mornin'! It's 45° in Wildwood. Fog's still hanging out as it has been for about 4 consecutive days. Yesterday the sun peeked out once as the entire day and evening was dense, eerie soup out there. Forecaster's are saying that the sun will return and burn off the fog today. Isch don't zink zo. I'm personally predicting another foggy, misty, wet day. Temps could tap 60° if the sun shows itself; I still say unlikely. Winds are minimal at 5-10mph coming out of the SE.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Mornin'! It's 48° this foggy St. Patty's Day morn as WW's looking a bit like London. Temps will rise into the high 50's as the Sun will do it's trick and burn off the moisture and mist by the late morning. Easterly winds (10mph) will wift (I mean waft) over the island bringing some ocean chilliness to the island. Looking like an okay day for all the Patty's Day activities. Parade commences at 11:30a.m. in North Wildwood. I'm pretty sure Egg's N Kegs are being enjoyed as I type this morning in Wildwood at the 1st Annual Irish Street Fair.

Socked In!

Mornin'! It's 48 degrees with dense fog keeping Wildwood socked in this early morn. You know the drill...sandals with socks! We've got that San Fran feel for another day! The sun never came out yesterday and it's not checking in until tomorrow. Temps will get into the hi-50's and maybe tapping the 60° mark (my guess is barely reaching 50° just like yesterday...raw and chilly). Wind socks will be almost still as light breezes are out of the West and shifting by early evening from the SW all at 5-10mph. The weekend's looking like a good one for you St. Patty's Day folk. Lot's of Irish celebrations including the annual St. Patty's Day Parade beginning at 9th & Atlantic Aves. in North Wildwood tomorrow morning and an Irish Street Fair on Pacific and Lincoln Aves. in Wildwood all on Saturday!

Ides of March (Julius Caesar was killed today in 44 B.C.)

Mornin'! It's 50° as Thursday's still in morning darkness. Sunrise is in about an hour and WW will surely have one as the skies are clear and brightly starlit. Always the darkest before the dawn. It'll be another unseasonable and above average kind of weather day like the whole nation's experiencing as of late. Temps will just hit the 60° mark as the sun will be dealing with some dense morning fog in the early morning and hopefully showing its bad self throughout most of the day today. Winds will be off the ocean (easterly) or what we call "onshore" this time making it feel a tad cooler than the mainland with winds anywhere from 5-15mph. Rains could make their appearance on the overnight and tomorrow (30% chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm), but today...another nice one to get out and enjoy!

Could break records today!

Mornin'! It's 57° this clear, dark, pre-dawn morning in Wildwood. Sun's due up in an hour or so. Winds are barely there and it's quiet except for birds beginning to do their morning chirps in the darkness. We could break some records in the weather deparment today as temps on the island may get as high as 70°! N-NW winds will wift (I mean waft) over us later at 10-15mph as the sun shines down on the island. That "sand baking" aroma is going to be in our nostrils today and you know what I'm talking about!

Unseasonable continues and Happy Uranus Day!

Mornin'! R.I.P. Pelé (my son's precious cat of 14yrs. left us last night). It's 54° this dark tuesday morning. It's drizzling outside as showers will linger throughout most of the morning but by late morning/early afternoon Wildwood will see breaks of sun. Even though it will become partly sunny, there's still a chance of a thunderstorm later this afternoon. Temps will be in the low 60's as the winds blow over the island from the SW at 15-20mph. On March 13, 1781, German Astronomer William Herschel discovered the planet Uranus so I guess that makes it Uranus Day. It was the last planet discovered due to being in shadows most of the time.

Warm-Up Continues

Mornin'! It's 43° in Wildwood this early, dark, starlit morn. Seems like we're back into early morning darkness due to daylight savings time. Sunrise is more than an hour away. It's looking as though the warmup continues. It'll be sunny today with temps tapping the 60° mark. Winds will be out of the S-SW at 10-15mph. It'll feel a bit warmer than yesterday so...another nice day in Wildwood. Fertilized and prepared the soil for the annual planting of seeds for this year's lettuce and spinach garden yesterday! Clouds will roll in tonight as rain showers are predicted (sorry Jim) in the late evening and overnight hours and could even continue into tomorrow.

We've Sprung Ahead!

Mornin'! We're an hour later and thankfully I did not lose an hour as I slept in I'm happy to report. To hell with all that "lose an hour"...not happening this year. So, now the fun begins as evenings will have a whole new meaning...as bike rides, walks, gardening, sunsets just to name a few can be enjoyed all before Wheel of Fortune. It's 43° and very bright and sunny this morning. Almost as bright as my mood this 1st day of daylight savings time. No breezes yet but they're coming from the S-SW later at 10-15mph. Temps will get into the low-mid 50's on the island today. Looking like a nice one. Looking like a nice week but could be a bit cloudy and sprinkly on tuesday...keeping an eye on that. The focus is on today...just a lovely, longer day in Wildwood!

Mornin'! It's 32° this bright, crisp Saturday morning in WW. Sun's up and will be checked in all day. Temperature will rise a bit just into the mid-40's. The island will have a much more seasonable feel to it. Winds will be out of the N-NW at 10-20mph throughout the day. Daylight savings time begins tonight...turn those ol' clocks ahead one hour!

TGIF

Mornin'! It's 48° in the pre-dawn morning. Doubt if there will be sunrise due to the rain showers at the moment. This afternoon will become partly sunny skies. Until then, we may even have rain showers off and on until mid-late morning. Temps will get in the mid-50's again and winds will still be kicking it up from the NW at 10-20mph. The weather forecasters are saying "breezy" not "windy". You can decide especially if you're walking "The Boards", The Beach" or "The Wall"...I'd go with 'hood up'. Weekend's looking cool though...a tad chillier and sunny!
