Autumn Keeps On Knocking

Mornin'!  It's 51° in Wildwood NJ.  It feels like 47° with the Northerly breezes at 5-10mph; along with the humidity at 69% and the dewpoint of 40°.  It's hasn't been this chilly first thing in the morning since May 3rd when it was actually a cold 47° out there.  Autumn certainly has become very comfortable as it settles in.  It's clear as Ms Sun's on her way.  The sunrise will be at 7:00AM today!  Expect a sunny day with a high of 62°. Capping Off A Miserable Weekend With More Miserable Weather

Mornin'!  It's 65° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 90% with a dewpoint of 61°.  It's raining.  And, the winds are out of the E-NE at 10-15mph.  No flooding or blustery gales  but whew, what a weekend!  Two "big - end of the season" weekends in a row with perfectly miserable weather.  I'm the bearer of more bad weather news as today is going to be a wet, rainy, and windy Sunday.  Expect steady rain this morning with rain continuing into the afternoon, temps will be in the upper 60s with E-NE winds ramping up at 15-25mph.  Chance of rain is 100%.  Tonight... the sky begins to clear out some clouds as there's only a 20% chance of rain, temps in the upper 50s and North winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... sunny with clouds mixed in, temps around 70° and windy with NW winds at 15-25mph. Mornin'!  September's saluting us once again as it heads on out of here!  The Jewel is finally fading.  Not so sparkly this year though that's for sure.  I think I got in a total of 5 beach days this so-called "very best weather" of all the months of the year down the Shore.  Not so this year.  I just reviewed my blog entries and counted barely 12 days of beautiful weather this month.

Ms Sun's Due In Today!

Mornin'!  It's 64° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 97% with a dewpoint of 62°.  Not much in breezes out of the West at 2-3mph.  It's cloudy with an opening right at the ocean's horizon as Ms Sun's about to shine through. It was 5 days ago that Ms Sun kicked off the day.  We're going to see and feel sunshine today believe it or not!  Hopefully, the sun will help with drying us out.  We're still in a saturated, damp, marsh-fragrant mode from the ocean and bay waters flooding us over the weekend.  A mixture of bay mud, silt, minerals stirred up from the Nor'easter has pushed over the streets as well as everyone's properties, leaving a thick layer of organic sediment know locally as bay mud or muck.  It contains decomposed grass, peat and microscopic organic matter and dries on the island on streets, driveways, under everyone's crawl spaces, on vehicles etc and looks like thick black dirt. It's has a heavy smell too.  The island's been incredibly smelly.  Oh, and by the way, those floodwaters and resulting layers of mud can contain bacteria or sewage (back-flow) and boots and gloves should be used when cleaning up.  Lots of clean-up around here. Hours of pumping water from my property (back yard and crawl space) yesterday.  More clean up today as we expect a cloudy start followed by partial clearing, sunshine later this morning / early afternoon, temps near 70° and West winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly clear, temps in the low-60s and winds light and variable.  Tomorrow... a mix of sun and clouds, temps in the low-70s and SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow night... partly clear becoming cloudy overnight, temps in the low-60s and S-SW winds at 5-10mph.  Thursday... a mix of sun and clouds, temps in the low-70s and S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Thursday night... clear, temps in the mid-60s and SW winds at 10-15mph.  At this time, the weekend's looking wet.

Mornin'!  It's 57° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 96% with a dewpoint of 58°.  It's raining at a decent clip with winds out of the NW at 20-25mph.  It's a perfectly miserable morning.  It looks like a perfectly miserable day ahead.  There is still a Coastal Flood Warning posted until 2PM this afternoon.  There's a High Surf Advisory until 8PM tonight.  And, there's a High Rip Current Risk throughout the day and evening.  We're still in the grasps of this slow moving Nor'easter that's over the Jersey coast and now more inland now over parts of Delaware, Philadelphia and North Jersey into New York.  This bad boy had its way with the Shore.  So much intense tidal, lunar, nor'easter flooding.  I imagine so many vehicles suffered major damage. Yesterday and Today's Shot - Back Bay North WW

Conditions at 10:00AM 9/26/26

Mornin'!  It's 55° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 93% with a dewpoint of 54°.  It has stopped raining with winds out of the North at 25-35mph +gusting up to 50mph!  We made it through last night and the overnight with flooding and extreme windy conditions.  Thankfully, no damage to my property except perhaps my shed across the back yard which has a foot of flood water in it.  It's incredible to see so many visitors here with their vehicles parked everywhere (many along my street) where the flood waters seeped over all the sidewalks and driveways.  I can only imagine the damage to their vehicles. Even more incredible was how many vehicles and golf carts have been rushing around in the flood waters creating wakes pushing high water into driveways and foundation vents on homes. At the moment, I'm waiting for the next round of major flooding as the tides are extremely high (almost as high as Superstorm Sandy) and rising as I type.  It'll be high tide on the ocean side soon and those flood sirens will be blaring any moment now.  Today's forecast will be mostly cloudy with periods of rain and temps in the low-60s with North winds not relenting at 25-35mph +gusting up to 50mph. Tonight... more intense coastal flooding, 90% chance of rain evolving into a soaking rain overnight, temps in the upper 50s and N-NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting. Expect more flooding on the high tide times.  Tomorrow... 100% chance of rain, temps in the low-60s and W-NW winds at 20-30mph. Mornin'!  It's 57° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 67% with a dewpoint of 46°.  And, with the N-NE winds at 20-25mph +gusting it feels like 53°.  We've got a Nor'easter breathing down our necks.  If it goes as planned, we should begin getting pummeled beginning tonight.  It's currently dry with cloud cover along with those winds.  It's chilly in Wildwood.  Expect a cloudy day with gusty winds (N-NE at 25-35mph) and temps in the upper 60s.  Coastal flooding is very possible at the high tide times.  The ocean's high tide is always an hour before the back of the island's high tide times.  Tonight... strong winds with 70% chance of rain overnight, temps in the upper 50s and North wins at 25-35mph +gusting.  Again, coastal flooding is very probable at high tide.  Tomorrow... cloudy and windy with 90% chance of rain, temps in the low-60s with N-NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting.  Rainfall cloud possibly be over an inch and coastal flood is almost guaranteed during high "King" tide, Full Moon and this Nor'easter.  Tomorrow night... rain likely (90% chance), windy with N-NW winds at 20-30mph and temps in the upper 50s.  Sunday... rain and wind (100% chance), with temps in the low-60s and NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting.  Sunday night... cloudy with occasional rain showers (60% chance), temps around 60° and NW winds calmed down a bit at 15-25mph.  Be vigilant with these upcoming tides.  Know your "high" tide times and low-lying areas so you're not facing flooded streets and a desperate situation.  Know if the area where you leave your vehicle is a safe one.  As for this "big" weekend ahead... Irish Weekend, Classic Car Weekend, Seafarers Weekend, Monster Truck Weekend, and October Fest Weekend, I've seen the Classic Cars all over the island since yesterday, as for Irish Fest which at this time is still happening can be checked on Instagram and Tik Tok for updates (nwirishfallfest or nwirishfest).  October Fest on Morey's Pier has been canceled this weekend, The Monster Trucks have been cancelled as well as Seafarers Weekend in WW Crest.  Remember... secure your property, plants and trashcans.  Don't drive through flood waters.  The salt water can destroy the undercarriage of your vehicle.  Charge you phones.  Have candles and/or flashlights handy.  You know the drill.  Hunker down and be safe!

Mornin'!  It's 62° in Wildwood NJ.  I feel like typing "you're on your own" with this weather.  There's so much going on. I guess I'll start with what's happening right at the moment.  Ms Sun just broke through all the cloud cover. We did have a couple peeks of sun yesterday afternoon, but this morning's sunshine is penetrating through all my east-facing windows right now and is fantastic. Winds are still crazy out of the NE at 25-30mph +gusting.  The winds have been relentless.  We've been on constant watch and clean up with all the tree branches and trash on my property this entire week. Having trees on the property is scary during these turbulent winds.
First, today's weather... expect a partly cloudy / partly sunny day with a slight chance of rain (20% chance), and agitated winds out of the NE at 25-35mph +gusting. Temps will be in the mid-upper 60s. Coastal flooding is possible at the high tide times. Mornin'!  It's 61° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 87% with a dewpoint of 58°.  It's raining lightly with NE winds at 25-30mph +gusting. We sure have some weather happening this morning!  There are alerts, warnings and advisories all over the place.  There's a "Gale Warning" posted until Friday morning.  There's a high surf and coastal flood warning in effect until Saturday.  There's also a high rip current risk posted.  
As for today's weather... It's currently raining lightly with very windy conditions.  There's a 50% chance of rain throughout the day with cloudy conditions and possible peeks of sunshine this afternoon.
