Mornin'!  It's 47° in Wildwood NJ.  It's cold with NW winds at 10-20mph making it feeling even colder (42° is more like it).  Ms Sun's up and shining brightly but is currently engaging with some clouds along the coast but still lighting up the deep blue sky as it all makes sense.  It's quite lovely actually.  The seagulls are enjoying mating season as it sounds like they're having a very good time this morning with their squawking and screeching everywhere.  It'll be a mostly sunny day with gusty winds. Mornin'!  It's 51° in Wildwood NJ.  It's partly to mostly cloudy at the moment with breezes out of the SW at 2-4mph.  That chance of rain today that I've been reporting since Wednesday seems null and void now.  Although one forecast I checked is still saying 30% chance of rain showers this afternoon.  Everyone else is reporting no rain today.  I guess it remains to be seen (or felt depending where you're at).  For now... it appears like it's just a cloudy day on tap with temps near 60° and winds at 5-10mph out of the W-NW.  The next chance of rain seems like it'll be Thursday.  For tonight... cloud cover becomes partly cloudy with temps in the mid-40s and N-NW winds at 10-20mph. Mornin'!  It's 49° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining brightly in the cloudless sky.  Winds are light out of the N-NW at 5-10mph.  It's a chilly but lovely morning down the Shore and perfect as we welcome May!  Happy May Day!  It'll be lovely with plentiful sunshine, temps near 60° and on the windy side with NW winds shifting to the S-SW at 10-20mph.  Tonight... 40% chance of rain as clouds will filter in and provide occasional showers into the overnight, temps in the upper 40s with S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... cloudy with a slight chance of a rain shower (15% chance), temps in the upper 50s and NW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow night... mostly clear, temps in the mid-upper 40s and N-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday... plentiful sunshine, temps in the upper 50s and NW winds at 15-25mph.  Sunday night... a few clouds passing through, temps in the upper 40s and W-SW winds at 10-15mph.  The Full "Flower" Moon is tonight and the first of two Full Moons this month (the other is May 31st).  These two May Full Moons are considered "micromoons" or an apogee full moon.  They occur when the full moon coincides with the point in its orbit that is farthest from Earth.  It'll appear 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than usual full moons.  Hopefully, tonight's clouds won't interfere with that Full "Flower" Moon.

Mornin'!  It's 53° in Wildwood NJ.  It's partly cloudy with light winds out of the SE at 2-4mph.  Upon waking this morning, an orange/red glow was peeking in the windows as Ms Sun was rising.  The sky was bright crimson over the ocean.  My first thoughts... "red sky in the morning, sailors take warning".  Stormy weather-is-a-coming!  Expect a partly to mostly cloudy day with temps in the low-60s and light SE breezes increasing to 10-20mph.  Tonight... the storm will be on our doorstep with 90% chance of rain starting between 7-9pm, temps around 50° and SE winds at 10-20mph.  We could see locally heavy rainfall with this storm system.  Keep in mind, the tides are higher than normal due to the upcoming full moon (Friday) and with heavy rain during the high tide times (which will be tonight), know you're low-lying areas that will potentially flood.  If necessary, move your vehicle to higher ground, don't drive through flood waters and be aware of flood sirens that could sound during the rainfall and high tide times.  Also, remember that the back bay/marsh area will be high tide an hour later than the ocean's high tide.  Tomorrow... 20% chance of rain kicking off the day followed by afternoon sunshine, temps in the low-60s and W-NW winds at 10-20mph. Sunny Start Turns Into A Cloudy Day

N-NW direction.  No windchill or flags flying this morning.  It's clear and Ms Sun is shining brightly without a cloud in the sky for now.  It's going to become cloudy later this morning as the clouds will take over providing us with just a gray day at least until sunset.  Temps will be in the upper 50s / low 60s with East winds out of the SE at 5-10mph checking in right along with the cloud cover.  We could see a lovely sunset as it looks like the clouds may move over just in time for the sun to set.  For overnight... mostly cloudy, temps in the upper 40s and SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... gray with 60% chance of a rainy late afternoon, temps in the upper 50s and SE winds at 10-20mph.  Depending on where you are along the coast, heavy rainfall is possible.  Tomorrow night... cloudy with rain (75% chance), temps around 50° and SW winds at 10-15mph.  Thursday... morning clouds will give way to a sunny day, temps in the low-60s and NW winds at 10-20mph.  Thursday night... clear, temps in the upper 40s and NW winds at 10-15mph.  As April winds down, Spring is showing off here as the marsh grasses have begun turning from brown to green (at their roots), the island trees are all budding and/or flowering, and the Spring bulbs (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, crocuses, lilacs) are now showing off and providing the island with their beautiful colors.  Also, the Full Moon will be celebrating May as it's on May 1st (this coming Friday)!

Mornin'!  It's 46° in Wildwood NJ.  Winds are out of the NE at 20-30mph +gusting making it feel more like 37°.  There's a "gale warning" in effect from now (6AM) until tonight at 8PM.  It's gray and misty with that ol' ocean spray and whatever those clouds are dishing out.  It's a miserable morning out there.  And, it'll be like that all day at least until around 5 or 6 o'clock when we could see peeks of sun.  Could make for a nice sunset tonight albeit windy. Earth Day

Mornin'!  Happy Earth Day!  Founded in 1970 by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson following a massive oil spill.  Our planet is an amazing place and always needing our help to thrive!  Each year on this date, more than a billion people celebrate the Earth in some way and do what they can to protect our planet from things like pollution and deforestation.  By taking part in activities (which should be done on a daily basis not just once a year) such as not throwing or leaving trash thoughtlessly, picking up litter even when it's not yours. Remember, trash and plastics inevitably get blown into the ocean and marsh and as the fish consume our trash and plastics, then we consume the fish. They suggest planting trees, create a pollinator garden for bees and butterflies, composting, recycling, switch to reusable items, reducing meat consumption, keep from impulsively allowing water to run, turning off lights etc. The lights left on is sore spot for me. It's amazing the number of residents who come to their homes here just weekends and off and on during the summer but leave their outdoor (and some indoor) lights on throughout the entire year.  Why???  It's disgraceful.  It's wasteful energy providing light pollution at its very worst.  Not only are their outdoor lights shining into my home, there's no star-gazing as the sky is no longer clearly visible at night or how about saving electric with all their lighting carelessly left on especially in the dead of Winter. Let's all try to be more conscientious and keep our world a more thoughtful, happier, healthier place.

Mornin'!  Winter's back!  It's 36° feeling more like 31° with the N-NE winds at 5-10mph.  Thankfully, I have a gas fireplace in the living room which takes the chill out of the first floor within minutes.  The furnace is "closed for the season" and I'm abiding by it.  Ms Sun's up this morning as there's not a cloud in the sky.  It'll be a sunny day with temps in the low-mid 50s and S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy skies early becoming cloudy and very windy later.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 40s with Southerly winds at 20-30mph.  Tomorrow... 60% chance of rain in the first half of the day becoming partly cloudy by late afternoon with peeks of sun, temps will be in the upper 50s / low 60s with S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow night... partly cloudy, temps around 50° with light and variable breezes.  Thursday... sunny and warmer, temps in the mid-60s with North winds shifting from the W-SW at 10-15mph.  Thursday night... fair, mostly clear, temps in the low-50s and N-NE winds at 10-15mph.  You know I don't like getting ahead of myself but, this coming weekend looks like a washout according to future forecasts.  Saturday... 75% chance of rain and Sunday... 50% chance of rain.  Both days will have temps in the low-mid 50s.  Changes do happen as I'm always keeping an eye on things in the ol' weather department.

It occurs when the Moon is positioned between the Earth and Sun, rendering it invisible from Earth.  Although we can't see the moon, it still has the same pull on our tides and you'll notice that the high tides are much higher than normal.  You may even see water seeping onto the island.  I'd think twice if considering driving through salt water.

March Is Roaring As It Makes It's Departure

Mornin'!  It's 35° in Wildwood NJ.  The sky is clear and cloud-free.  There's not much in breezes out of the W-SW at 1-2mph.  But, they're coming!  March is going out like a lion there's no doubt about that.  But,  there's currently no windchill.  Ms Sun just crossed over the horizon at the beach.  At the moment, all is well! It's going to be sunny today with gusty winds developing later this afternoon.  Temps will be near 50° with S-SW winds beginning at 10-15mph and increasing to 20-30mph +gusting.  Tonight... some clouds roll in as it'll be partly cloudy, temps in the mid-40s and S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow... partly sunny, temps in the low-60s and S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow night... cloudy becoming partly cloudy after midnight, temps in the low-50s and S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tuesday...  partly cloudy, temps in the low-60s and S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Tuesday night... partly clear, temps in the low-50s and S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Along with March's roar as it checks out on Tuesday, we'll have a Full "Pink" Moon on Wednesday.  The high tides will begin being higher than normal and more than likely seep onto the island.  Be aware of those low-lying areas.

Mornin'!  It's 37° in Wildwood NJ.  25° colder than yesterday at this time.  Add to that 37° those current W-NW winds at 20-25mph and you get... 26° which is what the wind chill and what it feels like when stepping outside.  Although it's officially Spring and March is allowing Winter to rear its ugly head as it winds down and my furnace hums along.  It's partly cloudy at the moment as Ms Sun's rising.  She's beginning to paint those clouds and sky making for a lovely sunrise.  Expect a partly sunny day with temps in the upper 40s and these stiff winds begin to calm down out of the N-NW from 20-30mph to 10-15mph.  Tonight... clear, moonlit sky, temps in the upper 30s and N-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... sunny start becoming partly cloudy and windy, temps in the upper 40s with Southerly winds at 10-15mph increasing to 20-30mph.  Tomorrow night... overcast, temps in the mid-40s and S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Monday... a mix of sun and clouds with temps around 60° and winds out of the SW at 10-20mph.

Mornin'!  It's 62° in Wildwood.  It's mild out there!  It's raining lightly with barely a breeze out of the West a 3-7mph.  We're going to have a wet Friday with showers this morning, becoming a steady rain during the afternoon (90% chance).  These morning temps will begin dropping and by 3-4 o'clock will be in the low-mid 40s with N-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... cloudy early with some clearing expected late, temps in the low-30s and N-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy to kick off the day with sunshine by mid-morning or possibly even earlier, temps in the low-40s feeling more like the upper 30s with N-NW winds at 20-30mph.  Tomorrow night... clear, temps in the upper 30s with W-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday... mostly sunny, temps in the upper 40s and S-SW winds blustery at 20-30mph.  Sunday night... cloudy, becoming partly cloudy after midnight, temps in the low-40s and S-SW winds still blustery at 15-25mph. Mornin'!  It's 48° in Wildwood NJ.  It's still dark with sunrise about an hour away.  It's mostly cloudy with winds out of the S-SW at 10-15mph.  I love when it's early and still dark with clouds above as the ocean's roar is loud and clear and that's a good 10 minute walk from my porch.  These morning clouds will gave way to a lovely day with sunshine mixed with some clouds, temps in the low-60s (not a typo) and S-SW winds at 10-20mph making it feel a bit chillier.  Tonight... partly cloudy becoming overcast overnight, temps in the low-50s and windy with SW winds at 15-25mph with a 25% chance of rain showers. Tomorrow... it's going to be a rainy Friday (90% chance) with temps starting out in the mid-50s and falling to the mid-40s by late afternoon, rain along with N-NE winds at 10-15mph won't help.  Tomorrow night... cloudy becoming partly cloudy, temps in the low-30s and N-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Saturday... starting out cloudy in the morning, giving way to sunny skies in the afternoon, temps in the low-mid 40s and N-NW winds at 15-25mph.  Saturday night... clear skies, temps in the upper 30s and N-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday... sunny with afternoon clouds in the mix, temps in the upper 40s and stiff Southerly breezes at 15-25mph.  Sunday night... mostly clear with some clouds in the mix, temps in the low-mid 40s and S-SW winds still blustery at 15-25mph.  And, a couple more things...
