Mornin'!  It's 33° in Wildwood NJ.  It's mostly clear except for a string of thick clouds along the horizon.  They're preventing a bright, warm sunrise as Ms Sun's on her way any moment.  Winds are out of the N-NW at 10-15mph making it feel more like 29°.  Spring's only 2 days away but Winter's not loosening its grasp yet.  It'll be a pleasant day though with plentiful sunshine and temps in the mid-50s along with North winds at 10-20mph giving us a colder feel.  Tonight... clear sky, temps around 40° and very light and variable winds.  Tomorrow... the last day of Spring will pretty much a repeat of today with much calmer winds out of the East at 5-10mph.  Temps will be in the mid-50s again.

St. Patrick's Day

Mornin'!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  It's 52° in Wildwood NJ.  It's raining lightly.  Winds are light out of the NW at 5-10mph.  We were hit hard with wind-driven heavy rains along with stormy thunder and lightning beginning last night lasting into the overnight.  Thankfully, no storm damage from the winds or rise in the waters that were surrounding us.  It seems we're calm as we recover with my street filled with water just along the curbs and some debris (small tree branches and trash) here and there.  It'll be a mostly cloudy day with 95% chance of rain throughout the rest of the morning. We might see peeks of sunshine later this afternoon.  Temps will be in the mid-50s with NW winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temps dropping into the mid-30s and N-NW winds at 15-25mph.  It'll feel cold.  Tomorrow... sunshine is back! Expect a sunny Tuesday with temps in the mid-50s and N-NW wind at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow night... clear, upper 40s and NW winds at 5-10mph.

Unsettled Stormy Weather Ahead

Mornin'!  It's 50° in Wildwood NJ.  Feels like 46° with the breeze out of the South at 15-20mph.  It's cloudy as Ms Sun's behind those horizon clouds and keeps doing her best to shine through them or above them.  It's like they're competing.  It'll be a cloudy day with showers commencing this afternoon (30% chance).  Temps will be in the upper 50s with South winds ramping up at 20-30mph +gusting to over 40mph.  Tonight... rain (95% chance) with very blustery winds out of the South at 25-35mph+gusting up to 50mph. The potential for very heavy rain is on the weather forecast.  Expect 1-2".  It'll rain all throughout the night.  And, you might want to prepare for thunderstorms. Tomorrow... rain in the morning with overcast skies beginning to break throughout the afternoon, temps in the mid-50s with W-NW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow night... beginning to clear, temps in the mid-upper 40s and N-NW winds at 15-20mph.  Tuesday... sunny, temps in the low-mid 50s and North winds at 10-20mph.  With all the wind and rain on the forecast, prepare accordingly... secure outdoor stuff, watch those high tide times in case of tidal flooding and know those sections of the island that are susceptible to flooding.  Watch where you leave your vehicle and don't drive through flood waters.  Remember the high tides are an hour later on the back/marsh side of the island than the ocean/beach side.

Mornin'!  It's 43° in Wildwood NJ.  It's the Ides Of March today (the day of Julius Caesar's assassination).  We're cloudy and drippy from the damp moisture in the air.  We've either had light rain or fog overnight into the early morn as everything's soaked and dripping wet.  It almost seems like it's raining but it's not.  Winds are out of the E-SE at 5-10mph making it feel more like 39°. It's a good morning to turn over and keep sleeping (which is what I did) or make a pot of homemade soup (which I did yesterday; Chicken Vegetable). Full Moon Friday

Mornin'!  It's 43° in Wildwood NJ.  It's gray and damp with winds out of the NE at 10-15mph and feels like 37°.  It's Full Moon Friday as the Full "Worm" Moon or Full "Blood" Moon as it's known appeared in the early hours of the morning with a rare full eclipse (between 1am-5am) but was obscured by the thick clouds in our area.  The clouds will continue throughout the day and just might move over for some peeks of sunshine this afternoon.  Temps will be in the upper 40s with E-NE winds at 10-20mph +gusting.  Tonight... cloudy as well as foggy conditions with temps in the low-40s and E-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... still cloudy with temps around 50° and E-SE winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow night... foggy, temps in the low-50s and S-SE winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday... strap in for some more March "wild" weather.  It'll be cloudy with showers developing in the afternoon, temps mid-upper 50s and winds out of the South at 25-35mph +gusting up to 50mph.  Sunday night... rainy and windy with temps in the upper 40s and S-SW winds at 25-35mph +gusting up to 50mph.  Monday... waking to rain, sunshine by the afternoon, temps in the low-mid 50s and NW 20-25mph +gusting.

March Antics In Full Gear Today

Mornin'!  It's 43° in Wildwood NJ.  It feels like 35° with the E-NE breezes at 14-18mph.  Ms Sun's up but we're not going to see her anytime soon (well, maybe peeking in on Monday afternoon).  It's currently cloudy and gray and feels dim and dark.  We're going to have a cloudy day with temps in the upper 40s and NE winds at 15-25mph making it feel much colder, damp and raw.  March at its finest.  Tonight... still cloudy, temps around 40° and NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... same as today.  As for this weekend... Saturday will still be another cloudy day with temps in the low-50s and calmer winds;  Sunday... not so much as a storm is heading this way with winds with rain developing in the afternoon, temps around 60° and South winds at 25-35mph +gusting; Monday... cloudy, rainy and windy to start the day as Monday eventually becomes partly cloudy with temps in the low-50s and NW winds at 15-25mph+gusting.  Remember, the Full Moon is tomorrow and will add to the drama when in regards to the high tides along with that Sunday and Monday rainfall.  Be aware of the possibility of tidal flooding.

It's beautiful. Winds are out of the N-NE at 5-10mph.  It's a lovely morning.  It'll be a lovely day with plentiful sunshine, temps around 50° and NE winds picking up a bit at 10-20mph.  Tonight... partly clear with some clouds in the mix and becoming cloudy overnight, temps in the low-40s and E-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... mostly cloudy, temps in the upper 40s and NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow night... mostly cloudy, temps in the low-40s and NE winds at 10-15mph.  As for this weekend, Saturday will be a foggy day with temps around 50° and S-SE winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday... cloudy and windy with rain in the afternoon, temps in the mid-upper 50s and Southerly winds will be ramped up again at 25-35mph +gusting.  The Full "Worm" Moon is this Friday.  The Tides have already become higher than usual. Know your High Tide times. And always keep in mind when checking out the high tide times that the back of the island (bay/marsh side) is an hour later than the ocean side of the island.

Mornin'!  It's 39° in Wildwood NJ.  It feels more like 31° with the very March-like West winds at 20-25mph +gusting.  It's sunny with some wispy, milky clouds on the back side of the island.  Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with windy conditions again.  It's only a week in, and I've already been tempted to scream at the top of my lungs to the winds... "enough"!  In the words of the Four Seasons... "Oh what a night".  Today's winds will be out of the West at 25-35mph +gusting.  Temps will be in the upper 40s feeling like the upper 30s.  Tonight... overcast, temps where they are now (39°) with W-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy early, then mostly sunny skies in the afternoon, temps in the upper 40s and of course March winds out of the W-NW at 20-30mph +gusting.  Tomorrow night... turn the clocks forward one hour.  We'll have a clear night, temps in the upper 30s feeling like the upper 20s with the NW winds. March Is In The House

Mornin'!  March has arrived!  It's 45° in Wildwood NJ.  It feels like 40°.  Winds are out of the SW at 15-20mph.  It's gray as we're under cloud cover.  Ms Sun's been up for almost an hour and the only bright light is coming from a layer of clear sky along the horizon.  We're going to have a mix of sun and clouds today as the winds ramp up out of the West at 20-30mph +gusting.  Temps will get up into the upper 50s but feeling like low-mid 40s.  Tonight... cold, partly cloudy, windy this evening with NW winds at 20-30mph +gusting.  Tonight's temps are dropping significantly down to 23° with the windchill of 16°.  Tomorrow... sunny, cold and windy.  Expect a high of 30° feeling like 18° with winds out of the NW at 20-30mph +gusting.  Tomorrow night... 24° with N-NW winds calmed down at 5-10mph.  Monday... sunny, 37° and NW winds at 10-15mph.  Monday night... clear, temps in the low-mid 30s with SW winds at 5-10mph.  March is coming in like a Lion.  No surprise.  For those of you who don't know... I never disliked March until moving to the coast.  It's brutal due to the winds.  They're relentless and provide nothing to do with Spring in the air.  All that's in the air is the constant, incessant, and unfaltering whipping winds that provide the wintry windchill.  Every once in awhile you feel the warmth of the sun, hear the birds that have returned and see the buds beginning to break through but then without warning... the brutality of the March winds brush over the 39° ocean and it hits hard.  Even though your mind thinks "Spring", your body feels "Winter" throughout most of the month.  19 days until Spring (for what it's worth)!
