Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Mornin'! Irish eyes will be smiling today at the
forecast...it'll be really n
ice. It's currently 48° with cloudy skies in
Wildwood. Not a star in the early morning; just clouds for now as the Sun's supposed to be coming so says the forecasters. Sunrise is 7:07 this morning...not sure if it will obscured by the clouds or not. It'll be mostly sunny today with mild temps...heading into the 60's with a NW breeze at 10-15mph. High tide:6:33p.m.; Low tide:12:23p.m.; Ocean temp: 49°; Full moon: 2 more days; Spring: 3 more days! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Stormy Hump Day!
Mornin'! It's currently 46° this morning as the rains are pouring down along with thunder and lightning as the blogging goes down. Lots of weather happening outside. Streets are a tad floody as the island's in the morning "high tide" time zone, but nothing over the top or that we haven't seen before. The rains will continue a bit more until skies clear just after daybreak. Today will become mostly clear as the clouds
drift out of here. Blue skies are supposed to return with sun shining as temps rise into the high 50's and maybe even hitting the 60° mark. There will be a SE breeze at 10-15mph. Tonight...back into the 30's. High tide:5:40p.m.; Low tide:11:33a.m.; Ocean temp:48°. 4 days until Spring!

Gale Watch - Weather Advisory

Mornin'! Flood and Weather advisories today; not to mention Gale Watch. It's currently 48° in Wildwood with a light breeze and even lighter drizzle. Ever since last evening, the roar of the ocean six blocks away sounded like a freight train right outside the front door...that's with doors and windows closed up tight. It's amazing how intensely loud the thunder of the ocean could be heard all through the night and still can be (perhaps Gale?). It'll be cloudy, very breezy with periods of rain throughout the day; the heaviest beginning this early evening as 1-2 inches of rain and some flooding is expected. You've been forewarned. Temps will be in the mid-upper 50's along with SE winds at 15-25mph with gusts of 40mph (perhaps Gale again?). High tide:10:32a.m.; Low tide:4:32p.m.; Ocean temp:46° 10 days until Spring!

Rains-are-a-coming!
Mornin'! It's currently 48° in Wildwood this thick cloud covered Sunday morning. It's gonna stay cloud covered all day until they open and the rains commence this morning or early afternoon. Temps will rise into the mid-upper 50's and stay somewhat mild, but it's sounding like a "raw" day in my opinion. As rain develops and becomes steadier and more intense by early evening...it will continue raining all night long bringing the island 1 - 2 inches. No island takes well to 1-2" of torrential rains. The ducks will love it though. Just watch for flooding as that's a given. Breezes will be out of the South at 15-20mph. High tide: 8:15a.m. and again at 8:30p.m.; Low tide: 2:22p.m.; Ocean temp: 43°. 2 weeks until Spring!
