Groundhog was Right...Winter's outta here!

Mornin! It's gonna be a beaut today as we begin with 48° and head right into the 70's! You read that right as forecasters are predicting 70° for island by this afternoon. For now...it's morning darkness over Wildwood as it's a bit chilly but the skies are clear. The stars and moon are welcoming the day as sunrise is 7:06 this morning. It'll be warm, partly sunny, breezy (offshore breezes at 15-20mph) as the day preludes Spring beginning this weekend but I think Wildwood may feel a morsel of summer today. Could be a day the beachchair gets dusted off. The Full moon is tonight and will rise at 6:13p.m. The moon will appear unusally huge as it reaches the point in its cycle known as "lunar perigee" as it will be the closest it has been to Earth since 1992. It'll appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter than a usual full moon. This phenomenom has reportedly hightened concerns about "supermoons" being linked to extreme weather events (earthquakes and the like). Previous "Super Moons" occurred in 1955, 1974, 1992, 2005. Today's tides: high tide:7:22p.m.; low tide:1:11p.m.; Ocean temp: 50°; The Summer countdown begins on Sunday!
