Mornin'! It's 62° in Wildwood NJ. I feel like typing "you're on your own" with this weather. There's so much going on. I guess I'll start with what's happening right at the moment. Ms Sun just broke through all the cloud cover. We did have a couple peeks of sun yesterday afternoon, but this morning's sunshine is penetrating through all my east-facing windows right now and is fantastic. Winds are still crazy out of the NE at 25-30mph +gusting. The winds have been relentless. We've been on constant watch and clean up with all the tree branches and trash on my property this entire week. Having trees on the property is scary during these turbulent winds.
First, today's weather... expect a partly cloudy / partly sunny day with a slight chance of rain (20% chance), and agitated winds out of the NE at 25-35mph +gusting. Temps will be in the mid-upper 60s. Coastal flooding is possible at the high tide times. Tonight... overcast and windy, temps in the upper 50s and N-NE winds at 25-35mph +gusting. Coastal flooding is likely at high tide times. This Full Moon over the upcoming weekend sure isn't helping things. Tomorrow... mostly cloudy with 50% chance of rain, temps in the mid-upper 60s and N-NE winds at 25-35mph +gusting. Coastal flooding likely at high tide times. Tomorrow night... cloudy, rain developing overnight (40% chance) with temps in the upper 50s and North winds at 25-35mph +gusting over 50mph. Saturday... 50% chance of rain, temps in the mid-60s along with those relentless winds out of the North at 25-35mph +gusting (you would think we're in March). Saturday night... 50% chance of rain, temps in the upper 50s and N-NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting. It's the Full Moon day and coastal flooding is extremely possible with the winds driving the waters onto the island from the ocean-side and bay-sides. Saturday night... 50% chance of rain, temps in the upper 50s and N-NW winds at 25-35mph. Coastal flood still a strong possibility. Sunday... 60% chance of rain, temps in the mid-60s and NW winds at 20-30mph. Sunday night... 40% chance of rain, temps in the upper 50s and NW winds calming down finally at 15-25mph. Remember some important things about this intense weather we're in the midst of... know your high tides at all times, remember the high tide on the beach is one hour before the high tide on the back bay, canal and harbors, know your low-lying areas on the island, park your vehicle in areas that seldom flood, remove or batten down your outdoor items that could be blown down or blown away or damaged by these relentless winds. Play it smart and stay safe!
