Sun And Clouds And Wind

Mornin'!  It's 61° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and doing everything in her power to break on through the cloud cover along the horizon.  It's making for a beautiful sunrise... lots of coastal colors in the sky!  The island birds are happy.  One was in our birdbath when I first woke and looked out the window and another was in the porch hanging flower-fern basket (probably eyeing it up for a nest) and lest not forget the 3 seagulls across the street chattering away.  It's on the cool side this morning (great sleeping weather) with breezes out of the NE at 17-21mph.  Expect partly sunny with some cloudy skies today with stiff, blustery winds at 20-30mph out of the NE with temps just about tapping 70°.  Tonight... mostly cloudy and back down to the low 60s and still blustery with E-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... a repeat of today... cloudy, cool and blustery.  In fact... I have not-so-good news if you're here on vacation reading this.  It's not great weather this upcoming week.  We're not going to see a beach day with warmer conditions (80° and sunny) until maybe Saturday.  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are potential rainy days.  Back to today... there's a "High Risk of Rip Currents" posted which means swimming will be prohibited.  Entering the surf is discouraged due to these dangerous currents.  If caught in a rip current... you're encouraged to relax and float.  Swimming against the current is pointless. Swimming or floating parallel to the shoreline until the pull of the current fades away, then swimming to shore is the solution.  If unable to escape, face the Shore and wave for help.
