Last Hump Day of Winter!

1st Avenue - North Wildwood, NJ
Mornin'!  It's 34° in Wildwood.  It's clear and starlit with those March Winds roughing us up. They're mean SOBs. They think nothing of blowing our secured gate open, pruning our willow or tossing our trashcan and trash all over. Or, better yet...blowing the pilot out in our hot water heater as the NW wind direction can at times provide such a strong updraft that it literally blows out the pilot and takes away our hot water like this morning. Winds are out of the NW at 28-35mph and will stick around until this evening when they simmer down some. They make it feel cold and wintry outside. Hopefully Ms Sun will warm us as she smiles down today. Temps will get up into the mid-upper 40s but will no doubt have a chill factor. Tonight...clear and breezy with temps down into the low-30s.  Tomorrow's looking a-ok.  Friday (1st day of Spring)..not so much as a wintry mix is on tap but it's looking more like a rain event down the Shore. The weekend's looking seasonably nice. I wanted to post that yesterday the temperature got up to 68° and was absolutely beautiful here.  You could (for the 1st time this year) smell the wonderful briny seaweed and sand warming aromas as the seabreeze came over the island! It was terrific.
