Gray Humpday

Mornin'!  It's 41° in Wildwood NJ.  We're having a rain shower at the moment with hardly a breeze out of the S-SW at 4-8mph.  It's feeling very spring-like this morning albeit damp with the aroma of the briny marsh/ocean in the foreground.  It certainly doesn't feel like March. Maybe it's beginning to turn into that Lamb we're always hearing about.  We're looking at a mostly gray day with light showers in the morning, gray/cloudiness throughout the day with a 20% chance of rain during the day and 50% chance tonight.  Only one forecast mentioned peeks of sun this afternoon.  Take that for what it's worth but my bets are on a gray (partially "wet") day.  In fact, I'm going with no sunshine until Saturday as most forecasts are reporting that one. Today's temps will rise just a bit (mid-upper 40s) with very light breezes out of the S-SW switching direction by mid-day to SE all at 4-6mph.  Tonight...rain showers, S-SE breezes at 4-6mph and temps back to where they are now...low 40s.  Tomorrow...starting out with showers and basically repeating today's weather. Don't think we'll see much of the that Blue Moon (2nd Full moon in a month) or the Sap Moon (that's also what it's called due to the Maple trees beginning to drip their sap this time of year) or the Worm Moon (another title due to the ground thawing and softening enough for the earthworms to push out into the surface). One way or another...Spring is just in reach now as all the leafy green seeds are now planted outside in my prepared planters (collards, kale, 4 types of lettuce, parsley, cilantro and green onions).  Today, I intend to work on my next homemade soup for this gray-rainy day...a nice Matzo ball soup!
