Boxing Day - Full "Cold" Moon

Today's Webcam Shot
Mornin'!  It's 45° in Wildwood NJ.  Winds are out of the E-NE at 8-10mph and the soup's on as it's foggy not only on the island but on the mainland.  I just returned from the store on the mainland as I really needed to take part in "Boxing Day" and hit the after-Christmas ½ price sales.  I haven't done that in several years and the gift boxes, wrapping paper, ribbons, bow and cards needed refreshing big time.  I certainly was dealing with some intense fog all around both on and off the island along with some aggressive shoppers.  I did accomplish what I set out to do and got next year's Christmas supplies!
It'll be another cloudy day once the fog lifts with temps near 50° and E-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... cloudy, fog developing again, temps where they are now (45°) and East winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... looking like a rainy day along with foggy conditions.  Temps will be in the mid-50s with East winds at 10-20mph.  Chance of rain 70-90% depending on what part of the day it is.  It's the final Full Moon of the year today aka "the Cold Moon" and along with the fog happening at the moment, the extremely high tides are happening right now as well.  Be aware of the high tide times and remember the back side of the island (marsh side) is an hour later than the beach/ocean side. If we get heavy rains tomorrow... be aware of the tides which will still be higher then normal and those low-lying areas on the island could flood.  I had a very nice Christmas and I'm grateful for the gifts that surround me with family, friends, health and happiness.  Much to be thankful for as always. Happy Boxing Day!
