Merry Christmas Eve

Mornin'!  It's Christmas Eve and it's 61°!  Very strange weather we're having as of late.  I've got windows opened here down the Shore!  It's overcast and mostly cloudy with some peeks of clearing in the cloud cover.  I've checked the radar and it appears a mass of rain clouds is heading right in the coast's direction as I type.  Expect some heavy rain today with downpours (just like yesterday) and of course flooding as the Full Moon is driving the tides up through the streets.  It's still looking like rain for the next upcoming week.  We could see some breaks in the clouds Sunday and Monday but it'll basically be gray, cloudy and a bit rainy till next Thursday. Today will be much like yesterday...a washout.  We had some heavy, steady rains yesterday with street flooding and don't forget the winds.  Let's talk breezes...it's currently breezy out of the S-SW at 20-30mph.  It's one of those days (mornings) when it sounds like your house is on the beach block and the pounding surf is at your front door.  I'm 6 blocks away (not including our extremely wide beach) from that surf.  It's so mild outside right now it feels like a Spring morning. Even the breezes are comfortable (not a bite in those winds). Christmas Eve along the Jersey coast would normally be snowing on a rain event like we're having.  One forecaster said that if all this rain were snow we'd be up to 10" already!  Anyway...we've got us some Portland Oregon weather this week; wet and mild.  Today may tap 70° as it rains into this evening.  Winds will pick up with gusting +36mph.  Tonight...upper 60s with more rain and W-SW winds at 15-20mph.  Santa should have any problems as the tail winds will bring him in!
Merry Christmas Eve!
