Mornin'! Happy Veterans Day! Today November 11th is the official US holiday honoring veterans. It initially began as commemorating the end of World War I in 1918. President Woodrow Wilson chose this day as Armistice Day the following year, corresponding to other countries' adoption of the same. In 1926 this holiday was recognized by Congress and eventually became a legal holiday. Thank you Veterans (that includes my hubby) for your service.
It's 36° in Wildwood NJ. It's sunny and calm with hardly a breeze to note. It's the first real wintry, icy cold morning this season. Nothing's frosty or frozen (birdbath, outdoor shower etc.) yet but there's a real bone-chilling bite in the air for sure. It'll be a pleasant, sunny Sunday with temps in the mid-upper 40s and breezes commencing a little later this morning out of the W-NW at 5-7mph. Tonight...clear and in the upper 30s with W-NW breezes at 5-10mph. Bundle up big time for that Eagles Game tonight...it'll be clear, cold and crisp in Philly too. Although knowing Philly fans (being one myself) as I do, they most likely won't feel the chill while at the game. Tomorrow...a little bit of cloud cover in the mix but warmer temps (low 50s). This day (and tomorrow when we commemorate the holiday) is our remembrance to all you Veterans out there!
