Mornin'! Happy Labor Day! It's 72° in Wildwood NJ. It's cloudy and wet outside. Humidity's 90% with a dew point of 70°. It was still raining lightly about a half an hour ago after raining throughout the entire night. Right now, no rain is falling but it's feeling rather moist outside. I relented and put the air conditioner back on before turning in as it was quite uncomfortable with all the humidity in the house. We're good to go at the moment. Once this morning sky clears, Ms Sun will make her grand entrance by this afternoon. Temps will be in the low-80s with W-NW winds at 10-15mph. Tonight... clear, temps back down into the upper 60s and W-NW winds at 5-10mph. Tomorrow... sunny, low-80s and NW winds at 10-15mph. Any winds with "west" in their direction almost guarantees those biting "greenhead" flies at the beach so pack your insect repellent if going today, tomorrow or Wednesday. You might want to grab a bungee cord for your beach bag if taking an umbrella on Wednesday as it looks like it may blustery. Off to put the flag up!

Does insect repellent work for the green flies? I once used it and green flies were so bad people were leaving beach. Since then, I have heard Skin so Soft keeps those flies away.
Yes, insect repellent works and so does Skin So Soft. Although, there have been days that those greenheads were many and relentless even with defensive measures. I've left the beach after surrendering to those buggers a few times in my life.
