Mornin'! It's 64° in quiet Wildwood. No winds or birds chirping this morning. It's overcast and gray as Ms Sun's prepping to make her grand entrance. That remains to be seen as we've got us some heavy cloud cover yet it is brightening along the coast. It'll be party sunny/partly cloudy today with a slight chance of a passing shower and/or thunderstorm throughout this morning and afternoon. Temps will be in the low-mid 70s with breezes out of the E-NE a 9-10mph. Tonight....back into the mid-upper 60s with clearer conditions as breezes shift from the E-SE at 11-12mph. The weekend forecast is holding steady as Saturday still being the better of the 2 days having less chance of a rain-shower kind of day like Sunday. We've all heard of bar tans right? The Full Moon is coming on Tuesday and best to keep an eye on those slightly higher tides (no driving through tide water).
Mornin'! It's 59° in Wildwood. It's clear, Ms Sun's up and shining brightly, there's a light breeze wifting (wafting) from the South at 10-15mph. It's going to be yet another beauty with barely a cloud in the brilliant blue sky as temps climb up to the low 70s. Breezes will ramp up just a bit at 15-20mph and early this evening...18-27mph. Tonight remains clear with a little cloud cover entering the mix as temps head down into the low-mid 60s. Tomorrow...some clouds stay checked in but it'll be mostly sunny with temps in the mid-upper 70s. The island is the most intensely overcrowded and thick I've ever seen for a Memorial Day Weekend. Hubby and I equate it to a July 4th holiday weekend with the most illegal parking I've seen since moving here 11 years ago. I just don't get why this "poor, yet overtaxed" City of Wildwood ignores taking advantage of earning some rightful money with issuing parking tickets is beyond me (sorry but I had to go there). But it is *****Star Spectacular Spring weather and really that's all that matters!
Mornin'! It's 55° in Wildwood. It's a bit later for blogging but
happily I had the chance to catch some extra sleep on this start to the Holiday weekend and unofficial start to summer here on the island. Even waking at 4:45
to let the pooch out as he was urging me for some help. It's another
beauty down the Shore as Spring days go. Ms Sun's shining brightly in clear, blue skies.
Breezes are somewhat stiff out of the W-NW at 10-15mph. It's going up
to the low-mid 60s with breezes shifting around a bit...first this
afternoon from the W-SW at 10-12mph, then tonight from the South at
13-16mph. It'll stay clear all day through tonight as temps drop back
down into the low-mid 50s. Tomorrow...more sun and even warmer temps.
Monday (Memorial Day) a mix of clouds and sun with temps near 80°. It's
all good. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Oh...29 days until the first official day of Summer!
Mornin'! It's 62° this summery morn in Wildwood. All windows are open and the voices of the happy, chirping birds fill the house! No breezes and we're currently dry as it should be raining according to the weather folk. I can smell rain in the air though. There's plenty of cloud cover but at the same time lots of clear sky as well out there and could make for a splendid sunrise. All forecasts are saying isolated rain showers this morning (50% chance) and some report a thunderstorm is possible. It seems unanimous for clearing out later this afternoon as Ms Sun should be trying her best to peek through those leftover clouds with temps in the upper 60s - possible tapping the 70s. Breezes will be out of the E-NE at 10-12mph. Tonight... mostly clouds with temps back into the mid 50s and Easterly breezes 9-10mph. The weekend's looking seasonable with mostly sunny conditions and temps in the upper 60s. One thing to note is yesterday was the first real summer-like day as temps almost tapped 80° with not much in sea breezes during mid-day when it felt the warmest... a true taste of what's coming! Summer...46days!
Mornin'! It's a crisp 47° in Wildwood. It's chilly in the house this morning (haven't had my furnace on for a few weeks now). Ms Sun's up and shining away and beginning to warm things up a bit. There's a very light breezes out of the N-NE (4-5mph). Temps are going to climb up into the the upper 50s-low60s today as the sun shines. It's a perfect day for the Wildwood Crest City wide yard sale. I didn't have time to post a brochure but here's the homes that are participating. http://visitwildwoodcrest.com/~/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/YardSaleList-2.pdf
