Mornin'! It's 49° in Wildwood NJ. We're in the soup at the moment as heavy fog is encasing the island. In fact, there's a "hazardous weather outlook" posted by the National Weather Service this morning saying that there's locally dense fog creating difficult driving conditions and warns keeping a good distance while on the road. There's not many on the road in Wildwood this time of day or time of year. All I know is what I'm seeing and hearing from my back porch...barely able to see down the street with major dripping (almost sounds like rain) from everywhere. Add to that the fragrance of the salty, briny marsh and all you need is a muffled fog horn somewhere in the distance for a perfect start to the day! Yesterday was foggy too but not until you reached the beach/boardwalk area as Ms Sun broke through everywhere else over the island. Once I got to the beach (for a walk on the boards) just before mid-day I was in it big time. This early morn...fog lies everywhere over the island and with no breezes to note. Today will be a pleasant, unseasonably warm day as temps rise into the low 60s (no typo) with Ms Sun burning all this moisture out later this morning. Breezes will be out of the S-SW at 12-16 mph. Tonight... some patchy fog returns with a 40% chance of showers, temps in the upper 40s / low 50s with breezes out of the SW at 8-10mph. By the looks of things after this afternoon, we may not see a bright, sunny day until Monday as clouds, mist, fog and rain showers are on the future weather menu.
