Friday Drearies

Mornin'!  It's 41° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got that ol' cloud cover happening with misty conditions as everything's drippy wet but it's not raining (yet).  The fragrance of the briny saltiness is in the air along with the sounds of the waves crashing is heard in the distance.  The cloud cover is perfect for some things and that's the insulator for sound...as 6+ (counting the long beach here it's probably more like 8) blocks away from the ocean and I'm hearing those waves loud and clear.  It's pretty cool.  It almost sounds like a highway full of speeding traffic.  Anyway, back to today's weather...it'll be gray, misty and rainy throughout the day and also the upcoming weekend.  There's a 45% chance of rain today (beginning later this morning) with temps in the mid-40s.  Breezes are currently out of the E-NE at 15-20mph and will shift a bit later from the East at 10-15mph.  Tonight...more clouds and mist with temps holding in the low 40s and breezes out of the SW at 8-12mph.  For this weekend...expect rain as off and on showers are due in until Monday afternoon.  The North Wildwood (Fallen Hero) plunge is tomorrow and those taking a dip I'm sure could care less about weather conditions (other than the ocean temperature (39°) as air temps will be in the low-mid 50s) but the spectators may want to keep an umbrella close at hand.
