Mornin'! It's 38° in Wildwood NJ! It's gray with Ms Sun doing a little brightening up the skies at the moment. It's mostly cloudy and misty though. There's a 40% chance of showers developing late this afternoon / early evening. Temps will get up into the low 50s today. So, let's talk "winds" as they're the star of the show this weekend. Winds are currently out of the NE at 25-35mph + gusting giving us a wind chill of 32°. They've been howling and pruning since yesterday morning. Since this storm system is considered a "Nor'easter" that's passing through this weekend, those winds out of the NE will pound the coast in this holding pattern at 25-35mph with gusting over 40mph until Monday morning. It'll be mostly cloudy and misty all throughout the day as temps tap 50°. Wind chill will be in the low-40s. Tonight... cloudy and still very windy with a 40% chance of rain, temps in the upper 40s (windchill-low 40s). Be aware there is a Coastal Flood Warning posted beginning today at 8am until Monday at 5pm. We're to expect tidal flooding and major beach erosion as these winds (and later periods of rain) continue to pound our shoreline and coast. North Wildwood will certainly take a hit as the shoreline line is already beaten down and very fragile. Note the high tides as low-lying areas and many streets and roadways may become flooded and impassable. Don't damage the undercarriage of your vehicle and attempt to drive through floodwaters!
High tide: 10:45AM and 11:43PM
Low tide: 5:13PM
Ocean temp: 55°
Sunrise: 6:43AM
Sunset: 4:45PM
