March Has Arrived - Bad Hair Days Ahead

Mornin'! Welcome March.  That's easier said than done.  I'm not a big fan of March and if you've been keeping up with my blog through the years, you know my take.  If not, I'll explain.  When I moved down the Shore 17 years ago, I assumed March would be much like Philadelphia's March.  How wrong I was.  In Philly, March is a preview of Spring... birds chirping, warmer days thrown in more often than not, warm sunshine, some greening, budding and blooming begins to take place.  It's a feel good month as it lifts the spirit with all that Springtime in the air. Not here. March is an incredible blustery extension of Winter to put it in a nutshell.  Even with slightly warmer temps (upper 40s / low-mid 50s), those cold, off-the-ocean, very stiff, non-stop, blustery winds always set the record straight. Not a "feel good" month. Any warm sunshine leaves much to be desired as the cold, wintry, relentless March winds are always predominant. I've been known to scream at March winds! They have yet to hear me. So strap in and say a prayer that this year's March's weather proves me wrong this year.
It's 47° in Wildwood.  It's raining with winds out of the West at 4-6mph. More rain is coming (100% chance) with around ½" due again.  We got pummeled yesterday and had some minor street/tidal flooding.  We could see it all again today so be aware of where you park or drive. Those March winds will not disappoint today... 15-25mph +gusting of over 40mph out of the West.  Temps will most likely reach 50° but it'll feel like the 40° with the windchill.  Tonight... rain clouds depart, some clouds, low of 26° and NW gusty winds at 20-30mph +gusting.  Tomorrow... Ms Sun returns with a high of 38° and still very blustery.  For what it's worth... 19 days until Spring.
