Mornin'!  It's 51° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining through some hazy cloud cover.  Breezes are out of the S-SW at 15-20mph.  I'm pretty sure this is the best it's going to be (in the weather department) today.  Clouds have us in their site as I type. There are rip-roaring winds pushing them along too.  March is going out with a bang.  Oh... could I be making some coarse comments here but I'll keep it zipped.  Here's today's weather breakdown... beginning later this morning, the clouds and winds will take over with 80% chance of rain beginning this afternoon.  Winds will be out of the South at 25-35mph with gusting.  Temps will be in the upper 50s.  Tonight... periods of rain with temps in the low-50s.  It'll be incredibly windy with the possibility of thunderstorms blowing through.  Winds will be out of the SW at 25-35mph +gusting over 40mph.  Chance of rain tonight is 80%.  Tomorrow... the New Moon is on the calendar as we have a few leftover showers in the morning then becoming partly cloudy with temps in the mid-50s and W-NW winds at 20-30mph.  Be aware of low-lying areas on the island as the New Moon brings much higher tides than we're accustomed to as we could very well have tidal flooding.  Chance of rain showers is 40%.  The weekend's looking mostly sunny with temps tapping 50° and the winds barely noticeable after March has its way with us.  April may be kicking off with windy conditions but by the weekend, will be simmering down.  So until next year March... don't let the door hit you in the ass!  It's quite nice knowing you're outta here.

Nice Hump Day On Tap

Mornin'!  It's 33° in Wildwood NJ.  It's sunny. The sky is mostly bright blue as the milky clouds surround the island here and there. Breezes are light out of the E-NE at 6-8mph.  The island birds are chirping everywhere and showing their start to the day satisfaction.  We're going to have a mix of clouds and sunshine today with temps tapping 50° and SE winds ramping up a bit at 10-20mph.  Tonight... a few clouds, low of 46° and Southerly winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow... mostly cloudy, windy and rainy beginning in the afternoon (50% chance).  Thunder is possible.  Temps will be more seasonable tapping 60° with Southerly winds at 25-35mph.  Tomorrow night... wind and rain (75% chance) with temps in the mid-50s. Friday's looking partly sunny, mid-50s and not as blustery.  April's kicking off the month with the New Moon and you know the drill... the High Tides will be much higher than normal so watch where you drive or park your vehicle especially if we get any significant rainfall around this time.  The weekend's looking mostly sunny with temps in the low-mid 50s.

It's That Time Of The Season

Mornin'!  It's 29° in Wildwood NJ.  It feels like 20° with the NW winds at 15-25mph.  It's sunny though... bright and sunny!  There's seems to be bright sunlight pouring in every nook and cranny in my home.  I actually thought about putting sunglasses on.  There's not a cloud in the sky as that ol' winter feel hugs our Coast.  Thankfully, the temps are going to become a bit more seasonable as we'll probably see the mid-upper 40s today while clouds filter in later.  NW winds aren't going anywhere at 15-25mph.  Tonight... mostly clear, temps back down to around 30° with North winds at 10-20mph creating a windchill.  Tomorrow... starting out mostly cloudy, then partly cloudy then mostly cloudy again by tomorrow night.  Tomorrow's temps will be like today's... mid-upper 40s with E-SE winds at 10-20mph.  Thursday... mostly cloudy with temps climbing to around 60° (this is crazy weather as March spins out of control) with rain and winds by late in the afternoon.  It's that time of the Season... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBxK3CcOQD8 .  Can't get this one out of the my head this morning for some reason.

January-Like Monday

The Delaware Bay On A Windy Day

Mornin'!  It's 29° in Wildwood NJ.  Add to that 25-35mph +gusting, howling winds out of the NW and you've got 16° .  We've got a bitter January morning out there.  March isn't going quietly that's for sure.  We even had snow flurries yesterday! The winds had me tossing and turning last night and in fact, woke me nice and early this morning.  I swear I lose more sleep during the month of March than any other.  The "Gale Warnings" are still in effect until 1AM Tuesday.  These gale force, very strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels along with reducing visibility.  Alter your course and/or secure vessels for severe conditions.  Right now, we're under partly cloudy skies with Ms Sun due up in about a half hour.  By the looks of things, we'll see sunshine this morning but clouds will increase as it'll start out clear becoming partly to mostly cloudy by this afternoon.  It's going to be cold today as temps will be in the mid-30s with W-NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting making it feel like the low-20s.  Tonight... partly cloudy, gusting winds, temps in the low-20s with NW winds at 20-30mph making it feel like the teens.  Tomorrow... as bit more seasonable as Ms Sun returns with a bit calmer winds out of the NW at 15-25mph and temps in the low-mid 40s.  Wednesday... clouds return for a cloudy hump day but with much less in the wind department.

"Gale Warning" Posted

Mornin'!  This one's for my sister... Happy Birthday Sis!  It's 41° in Wildwood NJ.  It's sunny as my home is all aglow in sunshine pouring in everywhere.  The house is also shaking a bit from the winds that are out of the W-NW at 20-30mph making it feel like 31° at the moment.  There's a "gale warning" still posted along the coast from Great Egg Inlet to Cape May and into Delaware today into early tomorrow.  These incredibly strong winds will cause hazardous seas which will reduce visibility and capsize or damage vessels.  The strongest winds will be late afternoon into the overnight.  This is March at its finest... kicking and screaming as it's begun packing and will be checking out this coming Thursday.  Today will be very windy (W-NW at 20-30mph) with a sunny start becoming cloudy by this afternoon.  We could even see some snow flurries!  Temps will be around mid-upper 40s with W-NW winds at 20-30mph +gusting.  Tonight... partly cloudy with gusty winds (NW at 20-30mph).  Temps will be in the low-mid 20s (no typo) with a windchill in the teens. Tomorrow... partly cloudy start with mostly cloudy day and temps in the mid-upper 30s (feeling like the low-mid 20s).  Let's not forget the March winds... W-NW winds at 20-30mph +gusting.  I might as well mention Tuesday... which will begin with temps in the mid-upper 20s and still very windy with a windchill in the teens. And, just for the fun of it... Wednesday will be more cloudy than sunny but the winds will have finally simmered down.

Gray Saturday

Mornin'!  It's 48° in Wildwood NJ.  Here's the last weekend of March already... wow that flew by (thankfully).  It's gray again with lots of thick cloud cover.  There's a thin, bright yellow line of sunshine right along the horizon but otherwise... thick clouds everywhere.  Breezes are out of the West at 9-11mph.  We're supposed to get rain a little later this morning (80% chance) as the rains will be checked in until around 2-3pm today.  The rest of the day will remain cloudy with temps in the low-50s and West winds picking up at 15-25mph +gusting.  Tonight... partly cloudy with gusty winds at W-NW 20-30mph as temps drop into the upper 30s giving us a windchill in the the 20s.  Tomorrow... partly to mostly cloudy and still windy (I wouldn't expect anything else with March), high around 45° (feeling like 32°) and W-NW still checked in at 25-35mph +gusting.  Monday... sunny with temps in the upper 30s and still winds making it feel like we're in the 20s.  Give it a break March.  I just want this fickle, indecisive month behind us; can't stand March.

Last Of The Nice Ones For Awhile

Mornin'!  It's 48° in Wildwood NJ.  Winds are out of the W-NW at 5-10mph.   It's feeling like 45° as the clouds encase the skies including this morning's sunrise.  We're saturated, cold and damp from the last 30+ hours of on and off rain but it's certainly getting greener outside.  However, Monday's temps won't get any higher than 35° with a windchill of 24° as that ol' winter feeling isn't outta here just yet. But, I'm getting ahead of myself.  Today's actually going to develop into a nice day with partial blue skies and sunshine by this afternoon.  Today's temps will just about tap 60° with West winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... partly clear skies giving way to a more cloudy sky later tonight as temps drop back down to where they are now... mid-40s and West winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... showers in the morning/early afternoon, then beginning to clear with partly cloudy skies by later in the afternoon with temps in the low-50s and West winds at 10-20mph.  Chance of rain is 50% in the early part of the day.  Tomorrow night... partly cloudy, West winds at 10-15mph and temps in the mid-40s.  Sunday... partly to mostly cloudy, temps in the mid-40s and wicked winds whispering and moaning out of the W-NW at 25-30mph with higher gusts possible.  We still got just about a week left of the windy month of March so it shouldn't be a surprise.  Okay, back to Monday... cold like "winter coat" cold, blustery winds and temps in the mid-30s feeling like the mid-20s.  Strap in hopefully for just one last time.

S%#@ Weather Ahead

Mornin'!  It's 55° in Wildwood.  We're saturated after last evening's rain and stormy conditions.  We had some big thunder-boomers around 3-4am.  It's currently gray with clouds and breezes out of the S-SW at 10-15mph. It's going to be a crappy day with more rain likely beginning later this morning.  Temps will rise a couple degrees... 57° with Southerly winds at 10-20mph.  Chance of rain is 80%.  Tonight... rain early becoming steady rain overnight (70% chance).  Temps will be around 50° with SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... not too bad with a mostly cloudy day and occasional peeks of sunshine and temps near 60° along with West winds at 10-20mph.  The high will be 42° tomorrow night.  As for the weekend... Saturday will have intermittent rain showers with windy conditions and Sunday will be partly cloudy, windy and cold with 25-35mph winds and temps no higher that 48° with wind chills in the upper 20s. The high Sunday night will be 29°.  One good thing that's coming out of this damp, raw, windy weather... a fresh pot of homemade soup.  This soup will be a take-off of Italian Wedding Soup with turkey meatballs and chopped greens (collards, kale and spinach) that I need to use before they really begin to wilt and get ugly.  "Use what you have available" is my motto.

Mornin'!  It's 45° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got clear skies with Ms Sun up over the horizon and shining down on the island this morning.  Winds are stiff out of the E-NE at 15-20mph.  The clouds will be filtering in this morning and just about before mid-day, it'll become a cloudy day (and night and Thursday).  Expect rain showers this afternoon (70% chance) with temps around 50° and E-NE winds at 20-25mph +gusting.  Tonight... a steady rain is coming with a possible rumble of thunder developing overnight.  Temps will stay around 50° with SE winds at 15-25mph +gusting.  Tomorrow... showers and thunderstorms in the morning becoming overcast by the afternoon with possible rain showers here and athere.  Temps will be around 60° with South winds at 10-20mph.  Friday will be partly to mostly sunny with temps in the upper 50s / low 60s and much calmer winds.  This weekend looks like it'll be partly to mostly cloudy and colder... temps in the upper 40s / low 50s.  There is a slight chance of rain Saturday evening.

A Bit On The Cloudy Side

Mornin'!  It's 47° in Wildwood NJ.  It's clear with moonlit and starlit skies and very light breezes out of the North at 5-7mph.  It's another lovely morning down the Shore.   The instant I opened the back door, I immediately inhaled the fragrance of the sea with that briny, salty, memorable, poetic smell.  I've recently researched what that smell is and it's caused by a chemical from algae in the ocean.  The sulfurous algae emissions escape into the atmosphere as it abundantly seeps into the air. It's known as Dimethyl sulfide or DMS.  There's a town about 25 miles inland called Corbin City which was part of the last leg of our drive to the Shore at vacation time when I was little.  My father would always yell "here comes the smell of the sea" as we drove through the town with our noses sticking out the opened windows inhaling the fragrance of the seashore... very fond memories!  For today's weather... plenty of DMS as the clear skies kick off the day becoming partly cloudy by later this morning.  By this afternoon... cloudy.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 50s with N-NW winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, low around 44° and Southerly breezes at 4-6mph ramping up to 10-20mph and switching direction from the E-NE.  Tomorrow... cloudy with occasional light rain (70% chance) and blustery with temps around 51° and E-NE winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow night... rainy and windy.  Thursday... more rain likely with blustery winds again.  Friday... mostly sunny with temps around 60°.

Spring Has Arrived

Mornin'!  Happy Spring!  It's 52° in Wildwood NJ.  It's a lovely start to the day and beginning of Spring-time.  Ms Sun's up and doing her best to welcome Spring and shine through some cloud cover.  It's making for a lovely scene along the beach.  Breezes are out of the W-NW at 10-15mph.  The island has begun to bloom. During my walks (I'm constantly walking or biking through all the neighborhoods) all the Spring flowers are popping up.  We've got them all... hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, crocuses, iris and my hydrangea (Wildwood's flower) is budding like never before!  It'll be a mostly sunny day with temps in the upper 50s - low 60s.  Winds will ramp up a bit more than they are now at W-NW at 15-25mph with higher gusts possible.  Tonight... cloudy early becoming mostly clear around midnight.  Temps will drop into the low-40s with NW winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow... mainy sunny, high of 60° and still blustery (remember it's "March") with W-NW winds at 10-20mph. Tomorrow night... clear with temps in the low-mid 50s.  93 days until Summer!

Last Day Of Winter

Mornin'!  It's the official last day of Winter!  It's 51° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining over the island through some leftover hazy clouds.  Breezes are out of the S-SW at 10-15mph.  The seagulls are up and showing their approval of this extraordinarily lovely, (almost Spring) morning with all their laughing and squawking in the neighborhood.  We're going to have the opposite of what forecasters have been saying all week.  Just a slight chance of rain now as it'll be partly sunny today with a 20% chance of a stray shower possible.  Temps will just about tap 60° with S-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Tonight... 30% chance of an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm early then partly cloudy beginning around midnight.  Temps will drop into the upper 40s with W-SW winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow... mix of sun and clouds, temps near 60°, West winds at 15-25mph +gusting.  This is it for Winter...we made it through another with two major snow storms (12"+), no frozen harbor, no ice storms or any Winter damage.  Until next December 21st... see ya on the other side Ol' Man Winter!

Full Moon Friday

Mornin'!  It's 49° in Wildwood NJ.  It's Full Moon Friday!  Nothing to see in the sky this morning though as we're under a "Dense Fog Advisory" (until 10AM).  It's rather "soupy" outside with thick fog and breezes out of the W-NW at 4-6mph.  Once the morning fog dissipates, we'll have a partly cloudy morning as temps rise to the upper 50s / low 60s.  By this afternoon, we'll have partly sunny conditions with SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... clouds roll back in with light rain late in the evening (70% chance).  Temps will drop down to where they are now... upper 40s with Southerly winds at 10-20mph. Tomorrow... rainy first half of the day with thunderstorms possible (chance of rain is 70%).  Temps will rise up to the upper 50s with Southerly winds at 15-25mph. By later in the afternoon, the clouds will begin to filter out and we may see that beautiful sunset as Ms Sun peeks through.  Sunday...  mostly sunny, high of 55° and breezes light and variable.  It's High Tide time due to that full moon so be aware of any tidal flooding and areas that are low-lying that could flood.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Mornin'!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  It's 51° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got plenty of fog outside with everything dripping wet along with breezes out of the East at 9-11mph.  This is the perfect lead-in for the weather today. It's going to be wet with 90% chance of rain and E-NE winds at 10-20mph. Temps will rise only a couple degrees higher (mid-50s).  Tonight... cloudy conditions with rain showers (60% chance), temps in the mid-40s and NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... partly sunny (some cloud cover in the mix), temps around 60° and SW winds at 10-15mph.  The weekend's looking "eh" with Saturday being rainy the first part of the day (drying out late in the day and early evening) and Sunday with intervals and sun and clouds. Both days will be in the mid-50s.  Freddy boy is still in our hearts as I pulled some shots out of the Freddy File today in honor of St. Patrick's day.  Got the scones baking this year instead of that ol' Irish Soda Bread.  Either way, my house is smelling great!

Mornin'!  It's 42° in Wildwood NJ.  It's the "Ides of March"... the day that Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44BC. It's also the 74th day of the Roman calendar as each month has an Ides. "Ides" means divide and March, May, July and October all fell on the 15th day of the month as all the other months, the Ides fell on the 13th.  For today's Ides of March, we've got clear, beautifully colored skies as Ms Sun has risen over the horizon.  Breezes are light out of the SW at 3-7mph.  It's a lovely winter's morning but not for long as Spring's also on the horizon (5 more days).  It'll be a partly sunny day with some clouds in the mix as temps rise into the mid-50s.  S-SW winds are also on today's weather menu at 10-15mph.  Tonight... mostly to partly clear with temps down to where they are now... low-40s and W-SW breezes at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny with temps in the mid-50s again and Easterly breezes at 5-10mph.  Thursday looks like a washout as there's an 80% chance of rain all throughout the day and evening with those mild, seasonable temps in the forecast.  Today... a beauty; get out and enjoy!

Last Monday of Winter

Mornin'!  It's 36° in Wildwood NJ.  It's officially the last week of Winter!  Ms Sun's shining, breezes are light out of the W-SW at 4-6mph and the island birds seem to be chirping and squawking their happiness.  It looks like it's going to be a pleasant day with sunny skies (some light clouds in the mix), temps in the low-50s and SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temps in the low-40s and S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy, temps in the mid-50s and S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  The Full Moon is Friday and the first official day of Spring is 6 days away! The Start To Daylight Savings Time

Mornin'!  Happy Daylight Savings Time!  If you forgot to set your clocks an hour ahead, then you're late! It's 25° in Wildwood NJ.  Add to that those leftover 15-25mph winds out of the NW and you've got a 13° windchill this morning!  Baby, it's cold outside.  Ms Sun's up as those clouds from Storm Quinlan are long gone. That was an intense windy storm blowing through.  We lost power twice!  We're back up and running and we've got clear, blue skies as Ms Sun's crossing the horizon as I blog.  Expect a sunny day with temps near 40° and West winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... some clouds filter in giving way to clear skies as temps drop a bit to mid-upper 30s with SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... sunny with a high of 52° and SW winds at 10-15mph.

Clock Turning Time As Quinlan Checks In

Mornin'!  It's 46° in Wildwood NJ.  Winds are out of the S-SE at 7-10mph and we're in the midst of foggy, misty, very light rainy conditions.  In about 4-5 hours, this storm "Quinlan" will be on our doorstep.  This storm is bringing the Coast wind and rain and of course a wintry mix.  Expect a wet, windy day this last day of Eastern Standard Time.  By later this morning, we'll be getting periods of rain and rainy/snowy mix becoming snow showers by the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80% and we could get a coating to an inch of the white stuff later.  Our temps now are currently the high for today as temps will drop to upper 20s/low 30s by the afternoon.  The winds will be the Headliner as NW winds pummel the island and erode the coastline at 25-35mph +gusting occasionally up to 50mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, gusty winds (W-NW at 25-35mph) and temps in the mid-upper 20s providing a "hard freeze" over the island.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny with clouds filtering in as temps barely tap 40° and West winds waft over us at 15-25mph with higher wind gusts possible.  Monday... more not-so-obscured sunshine, temps just about tapping 50° and much calmer winds.  Don't forget... tonight turn your clocks ahead an hour before turning in so you can lose an hour of sleep tomorrow as Daylight Savings Time kicks in. The best part of DST is the sunset will now be in the 7pm hour!

This Morning's Web Cam Shot

Mornin'!  It's 33° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under clear, colorful, picturesque skies as Ms Sun's rising at this very moment.  Only a couple more days of "standard" time and it'll still be dark at this time as we welcome dusk with much more daylight.  This morning's breeze is out of the E-NE at 1-2mph.  It'll be nice today with mostly sunny skies and a high of 47°.  Today's winds will ramp up just a bit out of the E-SE at 5-10mph.  Tonight... clouds take over the sky with 90% chance of rain and a low of 44°.  S-SE winds will still be checked in at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... there's this winter storm "Quinlan" that's hitting the Northeast bringing precipitation and winds.  Most of its intense effects will be West of us.  As for our immediate coast, it looks like a rain event along with gale force winds (gale warnings are in effect from tomorrow at 10am until Sunday at 10am).  Expect a very windy day with thundershowers in the morning and snowy mix developing in the afternoon tomorrow.  Temps will start out in the mid-upper 40s then they'll fall near freezing creating some havoc with all the wind and rain.  Winds will be out of the NW at 25-35mph +gusting over 40mph and even worse tomorrow night (batten down those hatches).  Sunday... sunny, cold and windy.

Mostly Cloudy Thursday

Mornin'!  It's 37° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under cloud cover as Ms Sun rose about a half hour ago and is being blocked by all the grayness.  Winds are out of the North at 5-10mph.  We may get some patchy fog this morning then staying generally cloudy today. By late morning, we may get some peeks of sunshine which is supposed to continue into the afternoon. Temps will rise up into the upper 40s with NE winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temps back down to where they are now... mid-30s with light and variable winds.  Tomorrow... starting with patchy fog and becoming mostly sunny, temps seasonable like today (upper 40s) with Easterly winds at 5-10mph.  The weekend's still looking a bit turbulent.  Expect a temperature drop, rains with a wintry mix by the afternoon on Saturday and winds gusting over 40mph.  By evening, the wet weather will check out but temps will drop to the mid-20s and add to that W-NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting to 50mph and we're going to have winter weather returning with those ol' windchills.  Sunday will be sunny but cold and blustery.

Rainy Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 41° in Wildwood NJ.  We're getting rained on at the moment.  Winds are out of the E-NE at 15-20mph +gusting.  It's a perfectly miserable start to the day.  It's been raining at a decent clip since around 11pm and these heavy, gray clouds have no intention on slowing until later this afternoon.  Temps will be in the low-mid 40s with NE winds at 15-25mph +gusting.  Rainfall may reach an inch.  Tonight... cloudy, low around 35° and North winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... another cloudy day with temps in the mid-40s and NE winds at 10-15mph.  At this time, the weekend plays out as Saturday being much like today... rainy and high of 40° as Sunday will have Ms Sun checking back in with a high of 50°.

Tuesday Mix Of Sun And Clouds

Mornin'!  It's 42° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got partly cloudy conditions but at the same time Ms Sun's is up and shining above and under the layer of "horizon" cloud cover.  The sky on the marsh side of the island seems to be completely cloudy and the ocean side is beautifully painted with those morning pastels thanks to that lovely sunrise.  It's still windy with NW winds at 20-25mph.  We're going to have a mix of sun and clouds today with more sunshine in the early part of the day as clouds increase by this afternoon.  Temps will be in the upper 40s with NW "calmer" winds at 15-25mph.  Tonight... cloudy with periods of rain and temps down into the mid-upper 30s with S-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Chance of rain is 90% tonight.  Tomorrow... rainy and blustery with temps in the mid-upper 40s.  We might see peeks of sunshine by Thursday afternoon.

Monday Weather Mix

Mornin'!  It's 51° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under dark, starlit skies with winds out of the S-SW at 5-10mph.  I wasn't here yesterday, but I heard we hit 70°!  Today's a different story but temps will certainly still be Spring-like. It'll be a sunny start to the day, but we're going to have a mix of sun and clouds.  As clouds increase, so will the temps as we're looking at a 65° day.  As temps rise, winds will increase as well.  We're going to have a very blustery day with S-SW winds at 20-30mph +gusting (remember... it's March).  By this evening, it'll be those blustery winds along with rain (90% chance).  By overnight, the rain will be out of here as it'll remain cloudy with temps dropping to the upper 30s / low 40s as those March winds stay checked in from the West at 20-30mph.  Tomorrow... partly sunny, high around 50° and NW winds at 15-25mph.  Wednesday... more rain is on the weather menu as it's looking like a rainy hump-day.

It's The Weekend!

Mornin'!  It's 33° in Wildwood NJ.  Breezes are barely there out of the SE at 2-3mph.  Ms Sun's lying in wait but has already begun painting the sky with her lovely pastels this morning.  It's cold, but lovely outside this early morn.  We're going to have a mix of sun and clouds today as the afternoon turns mostly cloudy with temps in the upper 40s.  Those SE winds will be staying checked in throughout the day and by this afternoon be 10-15mph.  Tonight... cloudy with temps in the mid-40s with Southerly winds at 10-20mph and 15% chance of rains showers.  Tomorrow... mostly cloudy and windy.  There's 20% chance of rain showers tomorrow with gusty winds throughout the day... S-SW at 20-30mph +gusting.  We should see peeks of sun by the afternoon (regardless of the winds) as tomorrow's temps could get into the mid-60s.  I'm taking tomorrow off for a babysitting gig. Sunny Day On Tap

Mornin'!  It's 25° in Wildwood NJ.  The sky is clear with not a cloud in sight as Ms Sun's about to cross the horizon and begin shining over the island.  Breezes are out of the N-NE at 8-10mph making it feel like 13° as Winter still has us in its grasp.  Baby, it's cold outside!!!  Expect a little bit of a warm-up with plenty of sunshine today, temps in the mid-upper 30s and NE winds shifting from the South at 10-15mph.  Tonight... a little cloud cover early giving way to cloudy skies late.  Temps will be around 33° with winds light and variable.  Tomorrow... mostly cloudy, high of 50° and SE winds at 10-15mph.  Sunday... cloudy and very blustery with temps tapping 60°.

A Little Of This And That Today

Mornin'!  It's 47° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under left over cloud cover from the early morning rain and wind system that blew through.  We could still have a sprinkling of showers from these dark, ominous clouds but Ms Sun has been coloring the sky as she's up and trying to do her thing.  There is a 30% chance of rain this morning before 9am.  Winds were howling but have simmered down. They're currently out of the NW at 10-15mph.  Expect a cloudy start as the day gradually becomes partly sunny by this afternoon with temps near 50°.  Those NW winds will be ramping up at 20-25mph. Always remember... it's "March" (the very windy month).  Tonight... mostly clear and much colder as temps drop to the low-20s!  Winds will be out of the North at 10-15mph gusting as high as 25mph to give us that ol' windchill.  Tomorrow... plentiful sunshine with temps in the upper 30s and SE winds at 5-10mph. The weekend's looking still mostly cloudy with Saturday's temps in the low-50s and Sunday's near 60° and the windier day.  Seems to be always about the wind in March.  Note this morning's webcam shot from North Wildwood's 5th Avenue boat ramp focused on the wetlands/marsh grass almost covered in water from the high tides.

Mornin'!  It's 41° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under some colorful, picturesque cloud cover along the horizon.  Ms Sun's due up an moment. Breezes are very light out of the N-NW at 4-6mph.  It'll be a partly sunny day with a high of 51°.  Winds will be out of the West at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly clear with some clouds in the mix and a low of 43° with S-SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... intervals of clouds and sunshine, temps around 47° and NW winds at 10-20mph.  It's the New Moon today as those high tides will be much higher than normal.  As for this weekend, Saturday and Sunday look like cloudy days with Saturday's temps in the upper 40s and Sunday's almost tapping 60° as well as being blustery.

First Of March - Mardi Gras - Spring (In Meteorological Terms)

Mornin'!  Happy Mardi Gras!  Happy March!  Happy Spring!  It's 37° in Wildwood  NJ.  Ms Sun's been up and shining through some hazy cloud cover this morning. Breezes are currently out of the SE at 7-10mph. Spring really isn't until March 20th but all the weather meteorologists call March 1st their first day of Spring. It isn't official until that Spring Equinox which is when the Sun crosses the Equator line on to the North side a little later this month.  For today's first day of March, expect a mix of sun and clouds (hazy sky) with a high near 50° and Southerly winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... clearer with a few clouds in the sky and temps near 40° with W-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny, high near 50° and West winds at 5-10mph.  The new moon is tomorrow (I actually thought it was today) but those high tides have been super high as of late.  Be aware of those low-lying areas on the island that could get some seeping high tide waters.  In honor of Mardi Gras, I've got the beads, shrimp po-boys for dinner and king cake for dessert!
