Welcome August!

Mornin'!  And, Happy August!  Today marks the peak of hurricane season... just an fyi.  But, I'm happy to report there's been no threats or narrow escapes for the Jersey coast.  It's 77° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's up there again at 90% with a dewpoint of 72°.  Breezes (I didn't feel any when I stepped outside) are out of the North at 4-6mph.  It's cloudy and other than the humidity, it's dry.  It doesn't appear that we got any rain on the overnight.  I know it wasn't raining when I turned in near midnight either.  These clouds will be hanging around all morning and begin to clear out closer to mid-day.  It'll be a party cloudy/partly sunny afternoon with temps in the low-mid 80s and W-NW winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... clear, temps in the low-mid 70s and SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... hot and sunny with temps near 90° and W-SW winds at 10-15mph.  So, here's a tip of the hat to August as we head on into the end of the summer season.  Autumn begins on Thursday September 22nd; a mere 52 days away.
