First Friday

This Morning's Sunrise - North WW webcam
Mornin'!  It's 37° in Wildwood NJ.  Winter's still tapping on the front door of the island.  There's frost on the pumpkins this morning.  It's beginning to brighten as Ms Sun heads over the horizon painting the sky her beautiful pastel colors.  The sky is free of clouds.  Winds are barely there out of the SW at 1-3mph.  It'll be a beautiful autumn day down the Shore.  Expect plentiful sunshine, temps in the upper 50s and S-SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Tonight... clear, temps in the mid-upper 40s and SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... a bit warmer with plenty of sunshine, temps in the low-60s and W-SW breezes at 5-10mph.  Sunday... starting out cloudy and by mid-day it'll be sunny with temps in the low-60s and NW breezes at 5-8mph.  These cold temps and frost have inspired me to get the big pot out and make homemade soup.  I plan on harvesting my large green onions before the frost does away with them.  Then, with the fresh leeks, potatoes and cream from yesterday's grocery shopping, you guessed it... potato-leek soup will be the soup of the day (and weekend).  For me, it's all about adapting to the chill from the salty air with simple pleasures like a mug of delicious, warm soup.  A good book with the fireplace lit makes it even better!

Me too! The Forecast is great. But, the soup is even better. It's our favorite here. Hope all is well Jimbo!
