Mornin'! It's 43° in Wildwood NJ. Ms Sun's up and there's not a cloud in the sky! Breezes are barely there out of the SW at 2-4mph. Today's "Solar Eclipse Day"! It's looking like the weather will be cooperating along the east coast. Oh... it's also the "New Moon" today which means the Moon and Sun have the same ecliptic longitude and at this first lunar phase the Moon is invisible except when it's silhouetted against the sun during a solar eclipse. Expect a sunny day (we could see some light milky clouds) with temps near 60° and winds out of the SW at 5-10mph. Tonight... partly cloudy, temps around 48° and South winds at 5-10mph. Tomorrow... partly to mostly sunny, temps in the mid-60s and West winds becoming Southerly at 5-10mph. Tuesday night... clouds roll in, 50% chance of rain showers, temps in the upper 40s and Southerly breezes at 5-10mph. Wednesday... partly cloudy, temps in the low-60s with 30% chance of rain during the day and 40% chance of rain during the evening. Thursday... 70% chance of rain with temps in the low-60s and breezy. Thursday night... 90% chance of rain with temps in the low-50s and very windy. Friday could also be rainy. So, the Solar Eclipse today will be seen as a partial eclipse here in Wildwood if those milky clouds do not prevail... Partial eclipse begins at 2:09PM; Totality begins at 2:50PM; Maximum is at 3:24PM; Totality ends at 3:58PM; and Partial eclipse ends at 4:35PM.
