T,
Freddy's been with us since he was 3 months old. We got him in January of 2013 from a town near Hershey, PA. He did much more than we could have imagined a pet would... filling our hearts with love and laughter. We thought having another dog nearing old age and retirement would be a perfect time. We were lucky to have him for only the 8 years that was meant to be. He was always a very good boy. He was smart and obedient except when it came to other animals (dogs, cats, birds, squirrels etc) when he would bark persistently at them hardly hearing our commands to stop. He got a little better with that stumbling block as he too aged but seemed to always remain the neighborhood bully. Our home and streets have become much quieter. We'll always miss him and truly appreciate your interest!
That is an adorable baby picture of him. Loved that you shared this with us. He turned into a handsome adult with a healthy red fur to show off kept up with his weekly brushings by his devoted owners. Thank you for sharing your stories and pictures.
Did Freddy like to go in the ocean?
@Unknown,
Yes and no. He ran only to the very edge of the water line and then run off away from the rushing tide. It was a game to him. He seldom got caught by the incoming surf. And, never ran into the ocean. He was able to swim though as I took him into a pool as a puppy and turned him toward the pool steps and let go and he took off swimming to the pool steps.
