New Moon Sunday

Today's Webcam Shot - North WW

Mornin'!  It's 70° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 90% with a dewpoint of 72°.  Winds are out of the S-SW at 10-20mph.  And, Ms Sun's shining along with clouds surrounded the island.  It's a lovely morning.  It's also the "New Moon" (invisible moon) today.  The New Moon and Full Moon both bring much higher than normal tides which is important to know when you're on an island especially if heavy rain or storms are in the forecast like today and tonight.  We did get a good ol' thunderstorm pass through last evening early.  Not much in the line of rain but lots of stiff winds, thunder and lightning.  For today, expect partly cloudy / partly sunny skies with 70% chance of rain and/or thunderstorms passing through again.  Temps will be in the low-80s with S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy with 60% chance of rain and/or thunderstorms, temps in the low 70s and W-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... sunny, temps in the mid-80s and S-SW winds at 10-20mph.  If we do get those tropical downpours, be aware of high tide times and where you drive or park your vehicle.  Know your low-lying areas on the island and don't drive through flood waters in the event we see coastal flooding today.  Keep your eye on the sky (and doppler) today!
