Mornin'! It's 22° in Wildwood. No breezes to create that ol' wind chill. The sky is sunlit and it's warm and cozy in my home this morning. For that I'm very grateful. I discovered that one of my girlfriends from Philly had a pipe burst in her Wildwood house and it was a bit of an upsetting evening to say the least. The Firefighters and Water department came to the rescue. I discovered her ice covered porch on the way to Cape May to see the frozen Delaware Bay at the sight of the Sunken Ship at Sunset Bay. An amazing thing to see...both her porch and the Bay that is. For the weekend's forecast...we're going to have a mix of clouds and sun as a mix of wintry precipitation (80% chance) is here by this afternoon. Temps are going to tap a balmy 30° as Southerly breezes wift (I mean waft) in at 10-15mph. Tonight...temps will stay in the low 30s as rainfall begins (100% chance) and breezes stay from the South at 10-15mph. Tomorrow looks like much higher temps (along with a meltdown) as we may see low-mid 40s with fog and grayness. God help those with frozen pipes! High tide:9:37a.m. Low tide:3:37p.m. Ocean temp:36° Sunset:5:44p.m. It's "Love Your Pet" Day so...give them a hug!♥
A daily weather forecast of Wildwood, New Jersey. I'm a lover of the weather and more importantly the sea, sand, tides, sunrises, sunsets and moon charts. I've discovered since living here on the island (2004) how different our weather is than the mainland. Or, better yet, the Philadelphia area where I was born and raised. Lucky for me my family spent just about every summer vacationing in Wildwood. I did the same while raising my own children. I'm blessed to have been able to call it home as being "down the shore" full time is pretty amazing. People always ask, "How bad is it in the Winter?" You know what they say... "If you're lucky enough to live by the beach, you're lucky enough." As for this weather thing... I will never get used to the fact that when there's a snowstorm in Philly, it could be a misty/rainy, almost mild Winters' day in Wildwood or if there's a Nor'easter bringing Wildwood to its knees, it could be a cloudy, windy day in Philly. These towns are less than two hours apart. Since my Philly family and friends always assume that I'm having the same weather as the big city, I began blogging about Wildwood NJs weather to keep the record straight.
