Friday the 13th! Wind and Wind Chill Advisories Posted - Brrrrrrrrrrr
Mornin'! It's 10° in Wildwood. Feeling like -10° right about now. We're in the thick of some winter tundra as the winds are out of the NW at 31-36mph creating that ol' Wind Chill. It's brutally cold out there. The sky is beautiful though...clear, moonlit and starlit. Ms Sun's due up and will warm things up today...NOT! These temps will rise a bit (high of 20°) and winds howling much like right now will keep this Wind Chill advisory posted throughout the weekend. Tonight...back into the teens as winds simmer down just a bit. Tomorrow night...next Clipper arrives (70% chance of snow) with those damn Winds shaking us up all night Saturday into Sunday. Good Luck with that. Better yet...Good Luck today...it's Friday the 13th not to mention Sam's opens for weekends beginning today! High tide:2:33p.m. Low tide:8:39a.m. Ocean temp:37° Sunset:5:35p.m.
A daily weather forecast of Wildwood, New Jersey. I'm a lover of the weather and more importantly the sea, sand, tides, sunrises, sunsets and moon charts. I've discovered since living here on the island (2004) how different our weather is than the mainland. Or, better yet, the Philadelphia area where I was born and raised. Lucky for me my family spent just about every summer vacationing in Wildwood. I did the same while raising my own children. I'm blessed to have been able to call it home as being "down the shore" full time is pretty amazing. People always ask, "How bad is it in the Winter?" You know what they say... "If you're lucky enough to live by the beach, you're lucky enough." As for this weather thing... I will never get used to the fact that when there's a snowstorm in Philly, it could be a misty/rainy, almost mild Winters' day in Wildwood or if there's a Nor'easter bringing Wildwood to its knees, it could be a cloudy, windy day in Philly. These towns are less than two hours apart. Since my Philly family and friends always assume that I'm having the same weather as the big city, I began blogging about Wildwood NJs weather to keep the record straight.
