| North Wildwood NJ beach at 5th and JFK Blvd |
Mornin'! It's 46° in Wildwood NJ. Rain is coming down lightly with winds howling off the ocean (E-NE at 30-35mph with gusting). We're in the midst of a Nor'easter. It'll be rainy today (80% chance) with thankfully mostly light rain and drizzle and fog and mist. The anticipated coastal flooding has been downgraded. However, coastal beach erosion is happening big time as I type. It's the winds that will make this a very beach damaging and crapola day with NE winds sustaining at 30+mph and gusting at 45+mph. Lots of howling and ocean pounding going on today and tonight into the overnight. Winds should be simmering down tomorrow morning but still in the 25-30mph zone. Temps will be around where they are now...upper 40s and tonight drop into the low 40s. Ms Sun's due to check back in on Wednesday.
Mornin'! It's 37° in Wildwood NJ. It's quiet and still (no breezes to note). I can hear the sounds of the surf pounding this morning (6 blocks from the ocean not including the huge stretch of beach) as there's a thin layer of clouds (those milky thin kind) over the island creating a sound insulator. I can just about see the stars and moon through them. It'll be mostly cloudy today with rain on tap with a 90% chance of rain showers throughout the day. By tonight rain should be clearing out. Patchy fog is in the forecast by later tonight (after 8p.m.). Today's temps will be in the mid-upper 40s with breezes out of the E-SE at 5-10mph. Tonight's temps in the low 40s with breezes from the S-SE at 5-10mph. Another 50-50 weekend with mostly cloudy (peeks of sun) weather for Saturday and mostly rainy weather for Sunday. Both days will be hovering around the 50° mark.
Mornin'! It's 48° in Wildwood NJ. We're in the midst of a heatwave! It's quiet and still outside with no breezes to note or any sounds of the ocean's roar. If feels amazing outside with no blast of frosty winter air slapping you when you step out. It's drippy with fog and mist and very much like Jack-the-Ripper darkness this early morn. For some reason I always think of Jack-the-Ripper when it's dark and foggy like this...a little scary out there...a perfect scenario for high heeled footsteps. Sunrise isn't for over an hour but doubt if we'll see Ms Sun today. There's a 30% chance of rain showers today with fog and mist on the weather menu most of the day. One forecast did say peeks of sun this afternoon but I'm gone with gray hump day. Temps may be reaching 50°. Breezes will commence from the NW at 11-13mph. Tonight...overcast and cloudy with temps in the upper 30s/low 40s and breezes out of the N-NW at 5-10mph. Tomorrow...Ms Sun checks in and checks out again Friday. Temperatures seem like they'll stay unseasonable as it should be much, much colder right about now. I'm very satisfied with this weird winter weather.
Mornin'! It's 29° in Wildwood NJ. Ms Sun's just about over the horizon (another 15-20minutes) as the sky is clear and cloudless. No breezes to note. It's crisp and very cold out there. It'll be a lovely day (Dr. Martin Luther King holiday for me) as the sun will be shining most of the day with hardly a breeze. Temps will climb up into the low-mid 40s with clouds entering the scene late this afternoon / early evening. Breezes come too out of the E-NE at 4-5mph. Tonight...50% chance of rain showers by midnight with temps in the upper 30s and breezes switching from the S-SW at 10-12mph. Looks like we wake to rain tomorrow and Ms Sun returns Wednesday.
Mornin'! It's 20° in Wildwood NJ. We have a chill factor though... N-NW Wnds at 19-23mph + 20° = 4° out there. We have a snow factor too. We had a nice dumping of snow from Ms Helena's storm yesterday. It snowed heavily in Wildwood from about 7a.m. until 7p.m. leaving oh...about 7-8" of the white stuff. There's drifting from the winds so maybe 10" or so in areas around cars, planters, fences, curbs etc. Our neighborhood streets were plowed last night. Those plows are greatly appreciated but do make a nice big plowed pile of snow at the foot of the driveway blocking us in. It was a light snow and easy to shovel which hubby and I did before turning in. We're good to go!![]() |
