New Moon Tuesday

Mornin'!  It's 72° in Wildwood NJ.  Blog's a bit late as the very early grocery store run was first and foremost this morning. Ms Sun just arrived as I finally sit here with my delicious cup of coffee.  There was lots of ominous cloud cover when leaving the island this early morn.  It almost looked as if it was going to start to pour.  But, not now... clouds are out of here, sun's up, humidity's 87% with a dewpoint of 69°.  Breezes are light out of the West at 6-8mph.  Not too shabby start to the day!  Expect a lovely day again with sunny skies, high of 81° and West winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, 20% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm.  Low around 70° with SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms and/or rain showers possible with a high of 78° and W-NW winds at 5-10mph.   It's the "New Moon" today which basically means there's no moon in the sky but the pull on the tides is the same as a Full Moon.  Expect higher than normal tides with areas of tidal flooding if heavy rains occur during the high tide times.  Be aware of where you drive or park your vehicle.  There are many, many low-lying areas on the island.  Oh, the West winds are with us today and they bring those biting green head flies to the island and beach.  Pack the insect repellent!
