Mornin'! It's 59° in Wildwood NJ. The blog's a bit late this morning as it was time to hit the grocery store just when it opens. If not, I'm faced with a much uglier shopping experience. When I first moved to the coast, this time of year was virtually dead and all the island towns including mine were ghost towns. The "off season" changed completely during COVID as the extra bodies stayed hunkered in their summer homes throughout October, November, December and January. It should die off in February and March but remains to be seen. One thing's for sure, Philadelphia, New York, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia license plates are here parked everywhere shopping right along with me. The trick is to hit the grocery store when they first open when "not-locals" are just rolling out of bed.
Anyway, here's the weather. It's currently mild and cloudy. No sunshine this morning although Ms Sun's trying to break on through. It's bright out there but cloudy. If we see any sunshine, it'll only be this morning. We're going to have a mix of clouds and sun this morning followed by mostly cloudy skies this afternoon as temps hovering around just where they are now. Breezes are barely there out of the W-NW at 8-10mph and will pick up just a bit at 10-15mph. Tonight... cloudy with a low of 44° and North Winds at 5-10mph. Tomorrow... the Full Moon but we'll probably miss it as it'll be overcast again with a slight chance of a rain shower (25% chance) and a high of 53° and E-SE winds at 5-10mph. Tomorrow night, there's a 35% chance of rain with S-SW winds at 4-9mph. Sunday... waking to rain with lower temps (high of 44° feeling like 36° with the windchill) as a blustery day is on tap. Lot's to be grateful for this weekend as the Northeast (upstate New York and north New England), is going to have a "pre-Christmas" snow storm tomorrow with 5-8" expected. Their weekend's looking a bit different than South Jersey here along the Coast.
